JRH Posted November 29 Report Posted November 29 I've always wished I could have seen Andre the Giant or Kerry Von Erich when they were in their prime. Sure, there's plenty of older footage which I'm thankful for, but I'm talking about appreciating them back in the day (I was born in 1979 and didnt start watching wrestling until 1990 when Andre was semi-retired and Kerry had lost his foot and was nowhere near as good or over as he was in the 80s). Any examples you have?
TheBean Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 Ted DiBiase & Jim Duggan in Mid South. I only knew them from their WWF days and had no clue how awesome they were beforehand. I'd probably throw Rick Martel in there too. Only knew him as The Model...and man I had no idea how great of a wrestler he was from that gimmick.
Boss Rock Posted November 30 Report Posted November 30 I had seen quite a bit of Dick Togo before he came to NJPW in 2020, but imagine being told that the guy farting around with House of Torture is one of the greatest ever.
