Mimi Hagiwara is a terribly underrated worker and one of the highlights of joshi before the Crush Gals boom. She has a relatively short career but shines brightly during it, serving as potentially the first wrestler in the idol archetype that would help define joshi wrestling over the following decades. Mimi is stellar in the face-in-peril role, being one of the best sellers of her era, you can't help but root for her against the likes of Devil Masami or Yumi Ikeshita. She deserves a deeper look.
