Inhabited what could have been a cookie-cutter character with such a powerful charisma and explosivity in the ring, unmatched in the history of the art, that he became an utterly unique phenomenon that has never been replicated in wrestling despite countless attempts since. My taste in wrestlers is heavily biased towards babyfaces who are cool, beat ass and win. No one in the history of wrestling was cooler, beat more ass and won more than Goldberg. Despite a limited (but always electrifying) moveset and a character that could only be booked certain ways, Goldberg's match catalogue has an underrated versatility, and because of his "limitations," Bill is probably the greatest WWE Gimmick Match Performer of all time. His Chamber performance is my favourite 5 minutes of wrestling the sport has ever produced, and his Rumble performances are also excellent. If a wrestler comes around, either in the modern day or in old footage, that makes me grit my teeth and scream "YEEEEEAAAAAHHHH" more often than he has, then they will become my #1 Wrestler of all time. That's the feeling only wrestling can give me, and Bill Goldberg is the personification of that feeling." snowboiiii "When I was 12 I thought The Matrix was the best movie ever made. When I grew up I knew it was." ShoShi "Brings an incredible electric vibe to pretty much every match he's ever had. A vibe like no other. Went from having his first televised match and within less than a year forty thousand people are losing their minds when he beat Hogan for the belt. Consistently great matches. There have been countless attempts to recreate Goldberg but none made it work like him." Scott/Ring Rust

Probably a decade ago was the first time I went down The Destroyer path, and whenever I've revisited his work, I remain convinced that there's never been a better professional wrestler. He could do everything and did everything at the highest level. We're fortunate to have as many full-length matches of his as we do. I'd suggest that if you're new to his work, start with one of the Abdullah The Butcher matches, then go to a Mil Mascaras one, and finish off with a Rikidozan one. His work is perfect and timeless. There are many variations on what he did, but none better." cero1max

Of course, 99% of those come alongside Matt, and he will earn a similarly high place, but Nick has always been the most impressive of the bucks to me. His heel work is the best of anyone, his footwork and fluidity are second to none, and at his best, I have never been more invested in a wrestling match than when Nick is in the ring. Obviously, his out of ring achievements help, pushing the independent scene forward to the point where he can be a founder of an entire national wrestling company, which gives him a huge status boost in the history books, but I think he'd still be here even if he was still chugging along in California. The best" Liam
