AEW Redemption 2026

Didn't get to watch the show until today. For a filler PPV I can't complain, it was pretty good.

The opening 3 matches were really good. Ladder match was a wonderfully fun spot fest. Bucks vs Moxspreay was better than I anticipated, especially when I am sick of 3 of the 4 people in the match, and Fletcher/Bandido was probably my match of the night.

The Dogs/Bang Bang chain match might be the worst PPV match in AEW history. 19 minutes and it sucked out loud.

Maya World/Shida was WAY better than I thought it would be.

Cage/Cope vs Death Riders was kind of a plodding affair, but was for the most part unoffensive. Same for Jericho/Ciampa, just add blood and weapons spots.

Andrade/Mark Davis was my most anticipated match and I'm not sure it lived up to what I was hoping for, but it was still pretty good.

Willow/Thekla was really good, although I'm not sure I understand the logic in the booking. But I guess what happens next month will go toward determining if it was worth it.

and Kenny/Knight was a lot of fun, and the post match was well done, until the final twist, which again begs questions.

All in all, not disappointed that I took the time to watch the show.

 

 

I am however disappointed in the continued death spiral of this board 😞
