  1. In Episode 14 of the Wrestling Culture podcast, Dylan and I talk about great families in wrestling history. Wrestling Culture Episode 14
  2. These are all great points. I didn't realize that about the sports psychiatrist
  3. Good call FLIK, I love Jack Evans and overlooked him.
  4. On Episode 13 of the Wrestling Culture podcast, Dylan and I compare the old territorial system with today's wrestling scene regarding the chance to develop talent. Wrestling Culture Episode 13
  5. Great point Flik, I've actually heard her say that before now that you mention it. She also has a Masters in Psychology as far as I know.
  6. Thanks for sharing that Soup, and I totlally agree. I find it's even worse with so much attention being paid to the "obesity epidemic". Yes, we want everyone to be healthy but acting someone is less deserving of respect based on their weight does noone any good.
  7. I hadn't realized that Bix. I mentioned at F4W that perhaps we should just do a whole Chris Masters podcast. I do think HHH making fun of him on tv was an all-time low thing for him to do, almost making the Katie Vick angle classy.
  8. We're back!!! On Episode 12 of the Wrestling Culture podcast, Dylan Hales discuss body image and body dysmorphia in pro wrestling and mma. Please listen and share your thoughts on this issue. Wrestling Culture Episode 12
  9. When I listened to it, I was definitely lower in volume. For our next show I am going to do some work ahead of time to have myself on a mic/headset so I am clearer. And as always, thanks for listening everybody. Even if for some of you it was only to Dylan.
  10. Watching it that weekend was hard as there was so much wrestling, not to mention crazy stuff going on in my own life. But I watched it a few days later and liked it a fair amount and would probably rank it top out of what I saw from DGUSA this year.
  11. On Episode 11 of The Wrestling Culture Podcast, Dylan and I review our Top 10 Wrestlers and Top 10 Matches of 2011. Wrestling Culture Episode 11
  12. Thanks Soup. Hope all is well and have a great holiday
  13. Stern seemed to think their matches were shoots, despite all logic suggesting otherwise (Whistler was pretty much outright trying to murder Muldoon, but Muldoon, despite being a uniformed police officer himself, never got Whistler into any hot water legally, and the New York Police Gazette that backed Muldoon heavily spoke very respectfully of Whistler after his death). I don't know if he still believes that, but if you don't - and you shouldn't - it really reads like wrestling's first great blood feud, and would've been an awesome thing to see. Thanks S.L.L. Would the Muldoon/Whistler match have been at the point that wrestling matches were still taking place on gravel or had it moved into a ring or some other type of contraption? A gravel match would be a great gimmick to bring back.
  14. Thanks Jerry/Tom. I'm all about not pointing fingers at people and not throwing friends under the bus, but this really is completely Dylan's fault.
  15. Please listen to the latest episode of the Wrestling Culture podcast as Dylan and I talk about using time travel to go back and record classic matches. Wrestling Culture Episode 10
  16. Thanks for the feedback guys. We're planning a show for tomorrow night, hopefully with a guest.

  18. Tonight on Episode 9, Dylan and I run down the career and overall awesomeness of Ken Patera Wrestling Culture Episode 9- Ken Patera For Emperor of the Universe
  19. So who is this Ken Patera guy again?
