  1. To me this match was a poor man's version of the Steiners vs Bret/Owen match from 94. Not bad by any means. I have a feeling that if you put these four in a tag match today that you would get a vastly different match of comparable quality.
  2. My path to hardcore fandom came through buying ECW tapes from RF ads in PWI. From there I discovered the Observer, and the rest is history. I bought alot of VHS tapes from that guy a $20 a pop. *smh*
  3. The beauty of the NFL is that even the biggest heels have a large fanbase, creating amazing crowd heat. Wonderfully written piece.
  4. Maybe it was more that I had never seen the match before, thought that Kobashi & Misawa won from the match listing, and as the match went on talked myself into the fact that Baba might take the pin and figured the crowed was pumped for the same reason as me. I forgot about the point system for the tag tourney until the bell rang and it ended in a draw. Shows what I know.
  5. I thought that this match was very good. What made it for me was one point when Baba tagged in, and it was kind of clumsy and awkward and the crowd was respectful, but not really into it. But, once the crowd started buying into the idea that Baba might take the loss, the crowd heat took the match up quite a bit, and from that point it was borderline great.
  6. For me, matches that have great emotion are diffcult to rate because the emotion is never as great as the first time I watch it. When I saw this match the night it happened on ppv, I thought it was just about the greatest thing ever. Over the years, while the memory of seeing it the first time remains, I've started picking at its flaws. I think it is still quite good, just not as great 18ish years later.
  7. I thought that the match was good, and the commentary was entertaining, but that the two had nothing in common, if that makes sense.

  9. Murdoch has an incredible ability to turn any subject into an example of Texas superiority. He should have been given a job with the state in a P.R capacity. The part when he takes his hat off out of respect to the general is spit-your-drink-out funny.
  10. What a novel concept, two men who just had a blood feud not kissing and making up the first time one helps out the other.
