Terry Funk had that "Great Texan" album in Japan and for that album, and the track "Roppongi", alone he should finish number one. But it will be Flair.

Seeing the Santino Marella love reminded me of something. I haven't watched any of this in quite some time now but during GAEA's run I was a HUGE fan of Sakura Hirota. I'd see all these people complaining about her comedy schtick online and about a lot of it not being funny but man.. I LOVED watching her. I found her hilarious and used to get a kick out of all the cosplay she'd do in her matches. Haven't seen much of her post-GAEA stuff but there was a point in time my biggest guilty pleasure was easily Sakura Hirota.

This week's issue we follow up our GIANT sized Baba issue with a smaller issue & cover feature: MASCARITA DORADA! Check it out & enjoy! http://markoutmania.tumblr.com/post/143245087698/hola-amigos-welcome-to-the-eighth-issue-of-mark

God help me, but I've grown to become fond of Zandig. His wrestling and his matches are horrible and negative twenty stars but beginning with that "Danzig as Zandig" video on youtube and going through stuff... I just get a bad/funny enjoyment out of that man's work so much. Poor Josh, Eeegah, has to put up with me making a joke every week telling him a RAW "spoiler" and it being some fantasy booking of Zandig putting people through tables on fire. But what can I say? He's the most ultra violent force in professional wrestling who can stop a car with his hands!

Oh my! Josh and I put together a special GIANT sized cover feature this week on the one and only... GIANT BABA! Josh also did reviews of NXT and a classic World Class episode while I looked at Lucha Underground and NJPW on AXS. Check it all out with our cover of Baba playing Kool-Aid man! Enjoy! http://markoutmania.tumblr.com/post/142876967373/hola-amigos-welcome-to-the-seventh-issue-of-mark

At times I've regretted not submitting a ballot to this project and at other times I've been glad I didn't submit one after all. But the list reveals and the reactions has been AMAZING to follow and the 120 reveal is just the best! Great job, Grimmas! On all of this!

A lot of stuff didn't go to plan this week but we got the issue out! Josh takes a look at Luke Harper and this week's Smack Down. I tackle NXT Takeover Dallas, Lucha Underground, start on Wrestlemania and get in half of NJPW on AXS. Check it all out at the link below, enjoy! http://markoutmania.tumblr.com/post/142487867348/hola-amigos-welcome-to-the-sixth-issue-of-mark

This week I've been watching a lot of Amapola matches from CMLL for this week's Mark Out Mania issue (she's the cover feature) and today I finally got around to watching a match I had heard about for decades but never made the time to watch in some form or another: Mascara contra Mascara, El Hijo del Santo vs Espanto Jr from 1986. Wow! Such an incredible match I am kicking myself for waiting so many years to sit down with it.

In this week's Mark Out Mania Weekly our cover star mini-feature is on Zandig but we also cover a recent AIW show, Evolve 56, Lucha Underground, NXT, Reality of Wrestling and NJPW on AXS TV. Josh and another contributor, Mike, did some good work in this episode. Check it out! http://markoutmania.tumblr.com/post/141693792563/hola-amigos-welcome-to-the-fourth-issue-of-mark

Hola! I'm Pedro, an artist from Texas and a lifelong wrestling fan. I haven't posted much here before but my friend Josh, Eegah here on PWO, has been taking part in the Greatest Wrestler Ever project and posting in those threads. He and I have put together a blog for digesting wrestling reviews that we write up during the week. We have three issues up at the moment and I made some nifty covers for them. We thought we'd share a link to it here in case anyone would be interested in checking it out. We're both trying to improve on our writing so hopefully the more we do it the better we will get at it. Anyways, just wanted to share with y'all. Hope you check it out and I hope you enjoy it! Muchas gracias! http://markoutmania.tumblr.com/

Mi hermano gave me a copy of WWE's Greatest Rivalries: Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart DVD set and I just watched the 1st disc, the sitdown interview with Brett & HBK.. WOW! Very engrossing interview, especially from the build up to Montreal to the end. Haven't watched the matches but definitely will this week. But really enjoyed the interview section of this set.

Over the past 2 months I have been on a bit of a WWE DVD buying spree. For cheap I've gotten Greatest Stars of the 90's, Best of Raw & Smackdown 2011, Ricky Steamboat, Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 80's, Hulk Hogan Unreleased and Clash of the Champions sets. I have a long way to go in making my way through these sets but I have really enjoyed getting to see some matches again after decades of not seeing them, namely the Chi-Town Rumble Flair-Steamboat match and the Clash I Flair-Sting match. EDIT: I decided to put in Disc 2 of the Clash set and YOWZA! Holy Moly there are some good matches on there! Flair vs Luger, Hollywood Blondes vs Four Horsemen, Austin vs Pillman, Regal vs Dustin, Sting & Flair vs Rude & Vader. Just really great stuff! There is a Sting-Rude match that isn't really a good match but it's a great bit of pro wrestling! Excellent stuff on Disc 2 of the Clash set.
