This is my recommendation as well. Let him destroy Sammy and the Men of the Year, just squash them, and let us start pretending that the post-Miro reigns never happened. Wardlow as the TNT champ will elevate and give importance to both him and the title. And the title REALLY needs that right now; it's been damaged quite a bit with bad booking in the last few months.

Will MJF turn up? Will Wardlow have a match? We will find out! #HangmanIsYourWorldChampion
-
Anyway, someone should photoshop TK's face on Heyman's in that promo he cut where he said "FUCK SABU" and replace Sabu with MJF
-
Did the Pillman angle draw a single cent? It's mostly raved about by insiders and hardcore fans, but I never felt it had any actual impact apart from confusing the live crowds sometimes.
-
If he is not going to be there tonight, TK should inform everyone immediately. Don't do the bullshit WWE move of continuing to advertise someone for a show even when you know they are not going to be there.

Okay, having seen how poor Britt was introduced as a "gimmick" that is only half-heartedly accepted by Punk and Danielson, this was clearly scripted, and kudos to Britt for playing the ignorant person absolutely perfectly, she was great. She is very charismatic and awesome, fuck the haters, we are lucky to have her on our side!!

LMAO at Britt asking "What's Mussolini?" That was a joke, right? Like, do they not teach fascism and Nazism in American schools? LM

I haven't had the time to watch Dynamite, but completely agreed in re FTR with both Jerome and Dave. They are red hot, and Bald might be the best US wrestler singles or tag right now. I was honestly thinking that some heel team would beat Jurassic Express just to keep the belt warm for FTR to win them. I am not entirely sure that I would use Starks and Hobbs for that purpose though: as good as FTR are, I would argue that Starks and Hobbs are also very good, definitely too good to be used as transitional champs to help kickstart another team's reign.

Kris Statlander is awesome. She should concentrate solely on doing power moves

Why do GCW wrestlers like AJ Gray spend all their time fighting randos on Twitter and making a fool of themselves? It's one of the more off-putting things I have seen on Wrestling Twitter
-
Joe Rogan says a lot of things. Wasn't that just one promo that relied a lot of using shoot elements and hoping Bryan would sell for it, only to immediately get outshone by Bryan?
-
Miz throwing weak kicks, botching the leapfrog - and the rollup at the end - and taking the turnbuckle bump like he was moving through quicksand was absolutely not on Cody
-
Dude is one of the worst wrestlers on national TV today, the idea that he is as good as MJF simply cuz he makes stupid faces is comical.
-
https://wrestlepurists.com/aew-backstage-atmosphere-is-reportedly-chaotic/ A bit late, but the VOW guys are pals with some of the AEW wrestlers, so I think this report is credible -

Yeah Page's reign has been great and I think it's the opposite of people agreeing he is bust as champ. When he started his riegn, everyone doubted him cuz the money is in the chase and the story was him reaching the top, not staying there, blah blah blah, but he has consistently delivered, and he absolutely felt like the babyface ace when he told Adam Cole to look at him and to get his affairs in order. At no point in time does he look like he doesn't belong in the ring with Punk, and the Takeshita match just showed how good he is as a wrestler. There are only so many hot matches you can have, with business doing well, without being a legit champ. His quarters always does well with the younger 18-34 demo - outperforming Punk v. MJF in the quarters btw - and for all the complaints about his feuds being cold, his matches always have a lot of heat. He is going to beat Punk and draw another big number at Double or Nothing, cuz he is great. You are going to like BCC if you do not like Mox. As someone who loves him, I have found everything compelling. BCC v. JAS is a natural feud, simple and logical, and it works. Bet it makes the crowd go crazy too.

I was drowning in work and couldn't get around to it. Everyone please feel free to start a weekly thread when I cannot. Getting around to watching Dynamite now.

Meltzer says on WOR that there were some major contractual issues that were a big factor in their walking out, that it wasn't nearly due to what was planned yesterday night.
-
Has WWE ever released a statement regarding backstage shoot stuff like this? They had put out a bunch of stuff on their Confidential show and their site when Austin had walked out, and of course buried him on air in a vague shoot way, but never anything as explicit as this.
-
This men of the year angle with Sammy and Tay is the absolute pits. None of them are over - at least appropriate to the story and context - none of the booking makes sense, they are all characters with go-away heat at this point

Okay but when was the last time Charlotte did TWO TV jobs in three straight TV matches, including killing herself with mad bumps to get Rosa's title win feel special?
-
Is it me or does the build to Double or Nothing feel uncharacteristically lukewarm for an AEW PPV? It's like much of TK's attention has been on acquiring RoH and the new Forbidden Door PPV.

Eddie Kingston cut the promo o the week on Rampage on a phone

Yeah but Santana this time gave him the middle finger while he had the camera and then stunned him, straight out of the Backlash 99 main event. I remember the spot vividly cuz it was one of the first I had watched when I was first becoming a fan
-
Watching the Jericho-Santana match, and they do the Austin-Rock camera middle finger-stunner spot from Backlash 1999, and it makes me think, at his heart, Jericho is just a wannabe Rock isn't he
