I hope I'm doing half the damage to superkix's depth chart that he is doing to mine.

Really impressed with how Low Blow has kept this moving and organized, too.

Curious how other people organized their lists. I started off drawing up a dream card, knowing I probably wasn't going to get, say, Owen Hart vs Volk Han 7 spots down my card, but it gave me people to shoot for. Then I had alternates listed under each for when I inevitably lost the primary picks. So if Owen goes, then '92 Bret, if he goes '89 Bill Dundee, and so on. If Takada had fallen through I'd have hoped for Maeda, Inoki, Fujinami, or Fujiwara. Some picks I've got like six alternates for. Some I only had one. The top three I didn't have any, so it's a good thing Williams and the Steiners came through. Plus it's all written out so I can just cross people off as they get picked.

Well, Warlord and Barbarian were both already picked, so there's that. Otherwise doing good!

That is a great main event. I am all but certain they never had a singles match. Looked on cage match. They faced off twice in tags. Akira Maeda & Nobuhiko Takada vs Rick Steiner & Steve Williams in NJPW in 87 looks like something I'd fantasy book. The Doc/Owen Hart vs Takada & Inoki tag from '87 is a lot of fun. I can't prove it, but I have a longstanding theory that shoot style would have been vastly better and would still be around today if it had retained pinfalls, so think of my promotion as UWFi + pins, or maybe just a shooty-er New Japan/70s NWA. Hence Williams/Takada, hence Steiners/Russians. I didn't realize how much competition I'd have for the shooters. Speaking of... That sounds amazing. Is there a Hase/Fujiwara match out there? It seems like there should be but I don't remember ever seeing one.

I'd have to look at my list again, which I don't have at work, but I think the only matches I've solidified are the Doc/Takada main event title match and Shamrock/Kitao. I'd have a Steiners tag title match but someone took the Russians I was hoping for and I'm lining up replacements.

I'm matching up Kitao and Shamrock for two reasons - one, I can put the young, good looking American kid over the big, scary Japanese dude, and two, there's a small but measurable chance Kitao starts some shit and gets legit murdered in front of a live audience.
