  1. It won't be live but we can say that... Give time to strategize
  2. Doesn't seem to be a lot of dissention here so I say we go 1988-1992 time frame. Pick an individual or team and put the year in which your are selecting them to give us an idea. No one can be picked twice obviously. We will not have a pool and go on the honor system. 35 rounds random snake order each set of two rounds. Added five more for announcers and managers. You don't need to use all 35 but it's there. Build you talent to have one major show in your chosen city. Talent from all over the world can be selected. Managers can be part of your pick Announcers and such can be part of your picks Tag teams must be tag teams or they'll be challenged and picks may have to be split. I'll get order put together here tonight and post it and we'll start tomorrow unless someone sees issue.
  3. I'll go with Houston. Let's give it another day... Please sound off on the date range and draft pool discussion then we can get started.
  4. I would say right now 88-92 is winning... this gives us a chance to maybe build to another draft down the line... please reply if you feel differently. I think the honor system is the easiest approach as we've got a great group to work within here... just be ready if you try to be sly that you will have a challenge. I haven't seen anything against adding in all regions into the draft... so at this point it is worldwide. I think a fun idea would be for each of us involved to think of a fun name for your promotion or to base your show out of a major city around the world. Kind of a way to give your show some flavor.
  5. Waiting on people to reply before we get there. Right now it's December 1st but if we can hammer these two things out we can start quicker
  6. Right now we're at 12. I say we go until the end of the week and then decide on 2 things. 1. Which years will we be doing 1988 to 1992 or 1988 to 1994 2. We need to decided if we need to make a pool or not. There are pros and cons to this... but if we use an honor system and the knowledge that a pick can be challenged (given the circumstance of a tag team). I think that is really our only hang up. If we are broadening everything out to North America, Japan, and Mexico, the list would be huge and I don't know how we could compile a legit list of talent from this wide of range in years to cover the sheer amount of workers who would be available. So please vote if on.. 1. The years 2. If we need a pool Thanks!
  7. Ok I'll add him
  8. Rick McGraw dies on November 1st... but hasn't been used in weeks so I am releasing him today for Blassie. Moving Steve Lombardi to a jobber pack with the Conquistadors and releasing Johnny Rivera who I believe is retiring soon. With my last spot there... officially picking up Ed Gantner
  9. And Freddie Blassie to the WWF... I'll make moves in a couplw of minutes
  10. Superstar Graham is picked up by the WWF as Rick McGraw has passed away
  11. You guys are both in.
  12. I like the idea of if you draft them as a team... It's same year for both and then you'd have to use them as a team in your show.
  13. I love the honor system but see the merit in a list but damn that's gonna take a while unless we all chip in. I think the first thing to hammer out is our years... 88-92 Or 88-94 ???
  14. Looks like I have this up to date and we're at 10 people. Do we want to cap at 15 for sake of making it something doable? In regards to the pool.... 1988 to 1994 is a very wide range... Do we want to go to 1988 to 1992 or keep it at 1988 to 1994? Also, in regards to the people available... is it too much to think that we don't need to have a set pool and just use our honor and book keeping when it comes to who is available to be picked? If we open it up to Japan and Mexico, aren't we looking at a pool of over 1,000 people over a 4 to 6 year period? I don't think I want to put together that kind of list. I also wanted to talk tag teams... so we know some of the famous tag teams but other teams... like the MegaPowers... it should be known you can't get Hogan and Savage together right? Then I think of teams like the Twin Towers and Skyscrapers... who I think are different. I view the Towers like two singles while the Skyscrapers would be a team. Same could be said for a Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi combo.
  15. Took this to the fantasy sub board in terms of an actual draft. Hit that up for updates and such
  16. Yes each wrestler can only be picked once. There's no 89 Flair and 91 Flair type stuff. If you wanted to make your promotion based off 92 ajw then yes. It's a massive roster of talent were looking at if we open Japan and Mexico. I wouldn't even know where to start to put the list together given the scope of our time frame
  17. DaWho is ready. He is going to go with PR and utilize this roster... Abdullah Tamba Al Madril Angel Acevedo/Mercenario 1 Angelo Rivera/El Profe Bam Bam Bigelow Barrabas Carlos Colon Chicky Starr Chris Colt Dutch Mantell El Satanico Gama Singh Hugo Savinovich Huracan Castillo Jr. Huracan Castillo Sr. Invader 1 Invader 2 Invader 3 Jerry Morrow/Mercenario 2 Joel Deaton Miguel Perez Jr. Miguel Perez Sr. Mike Masters MS-1 Pirata Morgan Rickin Sanchez Ricky Santana Ron Starr Super Medico 1 Super Medico 2 Victor Jovica Victor the Bodyguard I will try and put together the remaining draft roster for the fresh face draft.
  18. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/40033-with-the-first-pick-in-the-draft-pwo-selects/ As a reference, there are some of us interested in a massive draft from 1988-1994. As of right now, here are the individuals interested, please reply to this if you'd like to be added to the list... Low Blow Superkix dkookyPunk Beast Blehschmidt SmartMark15 Grimmas Jetlag Joeg El Boricua Gordi SirEdgar Lee Casebolt Some rules (these are changing as we develop) PRE-DRAFT This will be a 30 round draft Order will be random throughout the draft and picked then snake in the follow round We are looking to cap at 10-15 people in order to make it manageable DRAFT RULES Any individual wrestler picked will count as 1 draft pick Any tag team picked will count as the current pick and the next rounds pick A tag team can be split and utilized as one effectively splitting the team (the other member can obviously be picked later if wanted) When you draft an individual or team, put the year behind them that you would like them to be utilized... - For instance, if I were to draft Hulk Hogan, I would draft Hulk Hogan (1989) saying that when he's used, it would be his 1989 persona. POST DRAFT You can finish the draft and just have your roster You could also build to one major show and write it up This is organic and will continue to change as we get going, I think we can shoot for a December start date if not earlier as we begin to put together the master list of workers and decided if we just do North America or if we expand to Mexico and Japan.
  19. WWF Live 10/28 New York City, NY – Madison Square Garden Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan -Good opening with Jesse and Gorilla putting over the night’s action. MSG is packed for a big time night of WWF action with a lot of people buzzing about the main event. We cut to the ring for our opener. The Fantastics vs the Sheepherders -A good 15-minute contest that goes all over the ringside area. We see fighting and brawling and even some flying here but when all's said and done it ends up being a double DQ. Billy Jack Haynes vs The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart -This is a fun little match with Billy Jack being extremely over right now. Greg Valentine makes his way out and attempts to get involved before Brutus Beefcake runs down and brawls with him outside the ring. Inside the ring Honky looks to go for the finish with the Shake, Rattle, and Roll but Billy Jack rolls all the way through for a backslide and 3-count! Manny Fernandez vs The Missing Link w/ Mr. Fuji -A great showcase for both men. Many is getting great at selling and right now Link is really only good for looking menacing. He poses a little threat but nothing major. The fight goes outside of the ring and we end up with a fun little moment where Link runs and nails Fuji when Manny ducks and then grabs him for a Brainbuster outside the ring! Manny rolls back in for a 10-count and the crowd pops. This one is far from over as the war has just begun. TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Tito Santana & Barry Windham vs the Fabulous Ones w/ Jimmy Hart -Gorilla and Lord Alfred are going on and on about how in the world The Fabulous Ones got a shot this quickly. Gorilla thinks that Jimmy Hart lined some pockets and maybe paid some people off. Lord Alfred wonders if it was Bobby Heenan who got the money because he should have gotten the rematch. Regardless, this is a very fun 18-minute contest with these guys going all over. Windham and Santana are flying with the Fabs who are selling well but also showing what their made of. Jimmy Hart is very motivated and animated outside of the ring. Around the 18-minute mark, we see a big tag to Windham who comes in with a house of fire and he is backing up the Fabs with some big time shots. Jimmy Hart gets up on the ring and he tries to swing with the Megaphone but he gets ROCKED by Barry Windham! Stan Lane from behind and he nails Windham who falls into the ropes. BAM! OUT OF NOWHERE! RICK RUDE! RUDE RAN DOWN AND NAILED WINDHAM WITH THE MEGAPHONE! Windham is laid out in the ring and he is busted wide open! Lane falls on him for the cover and the 1….2….3!! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! OMG! The crowd is shocked! Rude has disappeared. Inside the ring Jimmy Hart is going just absolutely wild for the Fabs with the tag titles! Gorilla and Hayes are in shock. Windham is helped out of the ring… once again… busted wide open by Rick Rude here in MSG just as he was a month ago. Brutus Beefcake vs Ted Dibiase w/ Big Bossman -A simple enough return for Dibiase who is back on the biggest stage of them all. He is working the crowd into a frenzy. He is very fluid with his motions and looks double tough out there. Beefcake gives him a couple of good runs for his money (pun intended) but nothing major. We end up with Dibiase tossing Beefcake into the ropes where the Bossman CRACKS him with the Haliburton before Dibiase then cradles him up for a 3 count. Dibiase makes the money signs up the aisle as the crowd is really letting him have it. MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant vs The One Man Gang & Sika w/ Mr. Fuji -Big time main event with a lot on the line here. The size of Sika and Gang is something to behold as they do some good work with Hogan and Andre. Hulkster does a lot of the work before Andre comes in to clean house. Hogan then comes back in for some selling before Andre comes back in to finish things off. The crowd knows the formula but they love the equation. In the end it is Andre knocking Gang out of the ring to the floor and then slamming Sika for Hogan to come with a big time Leg Drop for the 3-count. Hogan and Andre pose and work the crowd as they have fended off Dibiase’s men for the time being but there will always be more!
  20. WWF Presents: All-American Wrestling Mean Gene Okerlund & Pat Patterson The Blade Runner defeated Tommy John Sika w/ Mr. Fuji defeated Blake Shaw The One Man Gang w/ Bossman defeated Rock Kernodle Paul Roma & Jim Powers defeated Ken Jefferies & Tommy Young The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Benny Vincent WWF Presents: Superstars of Wrestling Hosted By: Vince McMahon & Jesse ‘ The Body’ Ventura Matches from: Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center -Superstars opens up with Vince and Jesse pumping up SNME in a big way. They also pump up a big MSG show tomorrow night in which Hulk Hogan will team up with Andre the Giant to take on Sika and the One Man Gang. They talk about Manny Fernandez’ nasty injuries from Sika. They put over the new tag team champions. The Sheepherders defeated Jim Jones & Erick Young -Great showcase for the Sheepherders who have had an issue with the Fantastics over the last couple of weeks. We will see them in action at MSG tomorrow night! The Herders get the count out victory by beating their opponents up and leaving them outside of the ring! Manny Fernandez defeated Frank Smith Mr. Fuji: Manny Fernandez… you call yourself a raging bull… well you will meet a bull. Sika is more powerful Bull and he will put his horns in you! Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Phillip Omega Gino Hernandez: I guess a lot of people think that just because I don’t have the tag titles I don’t have aspirations of championship gold. Well don’t kid yourself people. I am still the most handsome man in wrestling. I am still the most skilled man inside that squared circle. I am still the most dangerous. It looks like it is time for this stallion to go out on his own and with the Brain… the sky’s the limit and it is paved in gold! From Saturday Night’s Main Event Jim Powers & Paul Roma vs The Fabulous Ones w/ Jimmy Hart -This one is a glorified squash as Roma and Powers make the Fabulous Ones look VERY strong here tonight. It is as though Kiern and Lane can do no wrong and they are fluid in that ring. Vince and Jesse really pump them up and put them over. Roma and Powers get a little movement but nothing special. The finish sees Jimmy Hart get the Hitman and the Anvil to pull Roma down and distract him before the Fabulous Ones grab Powers and hit him with a double brainbuster suplex! Kiern pins him for the 1….2….3!! The Fabs get the win and look fantastic doing it. They work the crowd while Jimmy and his cronies are giving them some hype. Could this be the team to dominate the WWF? Does Jimmy Hart have the diamond in the rough? -We are back with Superstars after the big showcase from the Fabulous Ones. Jesse and Vince pump up the big MSG show tomorrow night with the return of Ted Dibiase and the big tag title match along with a huge main event! 21. Hey guys, as an update, Dawho has decided to come back and take over the defunct PR promotion. Still working out details with him and his roster (made up from our draft list - fresh faces). I will have details as soon as I get em.
  22. Okay fellas... I think we have some momentum with this... should we move this over to fantasy booking? I have got 5 of us now... should we go to 10 or 15 so it is actually manageable? Low Blow Superkix dkookyPunk Beast Blehschmidt SmartMark15 Also, talent wise... are we just doing North America or do we open up Mexico and Japan? Can we split up some work on the list? Good parameters for 1988 - 1994?
  23. I also think it would be fun instead of using real promotions or anything like that if you made up your promotions name. Just as kind of a fun little fantasy type deal
