  1. NOT THE BULLET. Deep sigh. I think this may have been my greatest oversight, although I am not sure I could have gotten him very high on my list. My favorite baby face stick worker ever, with his runs in Continental & SMW being two of the best ever. Not the best in the ring, but great for a run-in or an always-hot angle. Damn. I should've ranked him! This list makes you feel allllll the emotions! Yours, JHHBjr
  2. Still haven't been high vote on anyone yet, but was hoping Mark Briscoe would end up higher on the list. Reckon I should've voted him higher than somewhere in the 90s, then. Also pleased to see of the Mascaritas, Dorada ended up higher. Justifiably so! Thought I would reply to Jingus before I go: "Hey, I don't think I know you, but I do know your name: Chris Coey once threatened to have you beat me up. (Which of course says way more about Coey than it does about either of us.) What parts of GA/TN did you work in, and under what name? Just wondering if we ever might've crossed paths." Ha! I vaguely remember the name Chris Coey from the DVDVR days but it couldn't have been me, unless an effeminate male valet called Fancy Lad was to strike fear in your heart! I wanted to be called The Artful Dodger but NAWA promoter Playboy Phil Hefner wasn't into Dickensian references. I actually showed up to film my friends Stephen Taylor (who worked as Dr. Bighed Hansen) and Stuart Minshew (who worked at Psycho Stu), as I was in film school at the time, but was pretty much thrown into the ring, as I was taller than pretty much every other trainee. I ended up talking for Stu, as I could always run my mouth, for what amounted to a very brief "career" - if you can call it that - of maybe five matches or so. This was all in the Rome, Adairsville, Calhoun, GA area. I remember mostly rolling around in a fairgrounds-type setup that had been appropriated by bluegrass pickers just outside of Rome. A helluva way to put my film degree to use right out of school. Stu found God and quickly disappeared, while Bighed wrestled for probably 5 years (here he is vs bull buchanan - ) before becoming a car salesman. He did pop up in this Patrick Sweany music video about wrasslin I produced last year, though, that I think y'all will love - He's the guy wrasslin the fellow under the hood, who is just LT Falk working double duty. Sorry to get off topic. Thanks for indulging my mat memories from 10-15 years ago! Yours, JHHBjr
  3. Then the shame is mine alone! Yours, JHHBjr
  4. If Art Barr got votes, I feel like Blitzkrieg could've also gotten votes. Despite the terse nature of their careers, they had inestimable influence. Killer Karl Kox, the british Kendo Nagasaki, and Don Leo Jonathan are three guys I feel like should've been nominated, as well. I'll throw my hat in the ring amongst those aghast at Strike Force's exclusion. Yours, JHHBjr
  5. Rave's ROH stuff is top notch, and the wild side shit is amazing for his age. I think the biggest knock on him is that he lacks character for most of his career. Even his ROH toilet paper roll heat is sorta based on the notion that he's a boring act, a la Lance Storm in wwe. The second biggest knock would be an extended period of his career when he could turn in some subpar performances, for one reason or another. He worked Rome, GA regularly in the early 2000s and was sometimes one of the worst matches on the card, and was never nearly as good as I had seen him elsewhere. Again, I am a mark for Rave, but it's so hard to get those US Indy guys in. I only ranked 5, counting Daniel Bryan. Fwiw, I rank Rave highee than Punk. Aaaaaaaand I'll show myself out. Yours, JHHBjr
  6. The Del Rio hate has gone too far. Also, I don't think Toshiyo Yamada deserved the dramatic slide she's experienced. She was in my top 200. On Jesse/Superstar: I feel anyone who claims Jesse has better matches MUST be referring to tags, as at least Supes would bump from time to time and had a few feuds that didn't make me sick. That said, I would never vote for them, and I'm a guy who voted for Hogan. Methinks mic work or commentary work got this psychedelic duo some votes. Final thought: Jimmy Rave was my trainer when I went to wrasslin school. And before anyone says a word, I'm not playing the "I wrestled" card. I've also lived in the GA/TN area for most of my life. I LOVE Jimmy Rave. But even his recent Renaissance and feel good story of him beating drug abuse wasn't enough to get him near my list. Huge fan of the Hales clan on Twitter, the board, and podcasts, but their influence has gone too far! But, hey, anything that is pro southern indies won't wrinkle my nose too much. Yours, JHHBjr
  7. Jimmy Del Ray > Tom Prichard. Yea, I said it! Yours, JHHBjr
  8. Spent the evening/early morning watching Pete Roberts. Boy howdy, was he amazing. Probably the 2nd best WoS guy I've seen after Breaks. Wish I had taken the plunge sooner. Probably deserving of a spot around where I put Terry Rudge. Similar intensity/character work. Yours, JHHBjr
  9. Ahoy, gents! Manning up and doing a ballot has forced me to take off my lurker boots, it seems. I've been following along in the same circles since the DVDVR days, but haven't posted anything in ages. Doing the ballot has been amazing, as well as amazingly difficult and time consuming. I'm a big fan of all of the PWOPTBN podcasts and will be checking the GWE status like it is my job until it ends. Thrilled that someone else voted for UberJobber Mike Jackson, whom I've never seen have a bad match, and stunned that someone had him even higher than I. Between this nugget and hearing him say he had Big Bossman on his list, Matt D and I might have to get an apartment together after all of this is over! I am kind of doubtful that I will be the high or the low vote on many folks, although there are quite a few really heralded workers that I didn't rank at all: the Brets & Shawns of the world, etc. Anyways, it's a pleasure to be aboard and I'll apologize in advance for my undying devotion to Jimmy Del Ray, who probably should've made my list, but did well on my tags list. But, seriously, look upon his works, ye mighty, and tremble: Yours, JHHBjr
