Voiceover: You are watching Music City Wrestling on WCAY-TV, Channel 30! Music plays to start the show over wrestling action from Music City's favorites before ending with the MCW logo. Music City Wrestling From the WCAY-TV studios in Nashville, Tennessee! Airing at 10:30 am Central on WCAY-TV, Channel 30 Taped: Thursday, November 16, 1988 Aired: Saturday, November 18, 1988 Bert Prentice & Ronnie P. Gossett IV Danny Davis & Jerry Calhoun - Referees An enthusiastic Bert Prentice welcomes everyone to the broadcast of Music City Wrestling's 30 minutes of action. The Wildside continue their feud with the Cubans as JT Southern faces off against the Cuban Assassin in singles action. We'll also have Tojo Yamamoto taking on Bruno. Ronnie P. is surprised the nursing home allowed Tojo out. That is elderly abuse. Bert tells him to knock it off. Ronnie P. wants to get to the real meat and potatoes of today ... the surprise Bert said he had for him last week. It isn't fair to put all of these half brained people on the edge of their seats like he did last week. I made a call to Memphis ... oh boy, oh boy, Ronnie thinks Bert finally did it and brought in a real wrestler? Jerry The King Lawler is coming to Nashville? No, nothing like that. Bert highly doubts Jerry Lawler will be showing his face around these parts in the near future but he did talk to a real Legend of the Sport ... Ronnie's Uncle ... JACKIE FARGO! Ronnie's eyes go wide as his goes on a swivel looking left and right. What? When? Where? He should be here any second ... Ronnie bolts from his seat, excusing himself ... must have been those rotten Bert's hot dogs he ate. Bert mentions that was a week ago ... Okay, on with the show as Bert goes it alone. In case you missed it last week Bert talks about The Nightmares coming to Nashville! We get a brief video of them in action and they are coming to Music City Wrestling! He is certainly looking forward to their arrival. A grinning Brian Knighton makes his way out to a chorus of boos. He says it is good to be him. By his victory over The Assassin last week, he should be the #1 Contender to the title ... The fans start cheering as champion Cody Michaels makes his way out. Bert isn't so sure about Knighton's claim because his win was a bit tainted because of Cody being a distraction. Cody Michaels interrupts Bert ... Cody Michaels: Over the past few months, you've been claiming I owe you. I owe you for winning the title. I owe you for keeping the title but let me say this right here, right now ... I OWE YOU NOTHING! WE ARE ALL SQUARE NOW! IF YOU WANT A SHOT AT THE TITLE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK ... IT'S THE ASSASSIN! The masked man attacks Michaels. After knocking him to the floor, The Assassin snatches up the title and knocks Knighton to the ground with the belt and starts to stomp away at him. After throwing down the belt, he says that HE is the rightful #1 Contender ... IT'S BOBBY BLAZE TO THE RESCUE! Blaze and The Assassin start to duke it out when Bert throws it to a commercial! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a quick rundown of the open of the show and what transpired before the break. Pandemonium in the studio ... Jackie Fargo does his famous strut to the adoring cheers before shaking hands with Bert. Jackie is glad to be here and see Music City and Nashville the home of great wrestling. Always great to see some of the best fans in the world. He wants to know where his nephew is? Bert says he had to excuse himself but sure he will be right back. Jackie says it has been some time since he's seen him but he was a great little kid ... good looking and probably had a future in the biz like his father and uncle. The sky was the limit. Bert agrees, Ronnie P. has hit max density and doesn't look like he's hit his limit just yet! Jackie wishes he could stay longer to see his nephew but he's got to get back to Memphis to take care of business. Bert thanks him for taking the time to come to Nashville and hopes he won't be a stranger! The fans cheer as Jackie does his strut on the way out. Tojo Yamamoto w/Dark Journey & Jamie Dundee versus Bruno. Referee Danny Davis. Bruno is noticeably alone here but jumps Tojo before the bell, beating him in the corner until Tojo reverses positions and chops him down with knifehands. A kick to the midsection is followed by a throw to the mat. Bruno is able to kick out of a pin attempt at 2. Whip across the ring and a stiff double thrust to the throat and midsection puts Bruno down. Tojo takes the arm and bends it, positioning for an armbar that quickly has Bruno in pain and submitting. Bruno scurries to the back as DJ and the tag champs join Bert Prentice. Bert congratulates Tojo on his submission victory. DJ talks about beating Bruno and Moondog Morton in tag matches for the belt and in back to back weeks, here on TV in singles matches. She promises very soon now that they will be finished with Miss Kentucky and here menm if you want to call them that! The fans cheer as Bert sends it to a commercial break! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... You will find us in Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin and of course, MCW IS COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x We return to Bert who has been joined by Tony Falk. Tony talks about what has been going on and it is big. As we near the end of 1988, we get ready for the new year with a bumper crop of wrestlers that he has been training to debut in the coming year. Bert talks about Tony's long career as he imparts his wisdom on his new students. Tony is excited and looks forward to the new year. Bert changes the subject and talks about Don Bass. Tony speaks fondly of Dandy Don and while he knows Don Bass is not too happy with Falk for not resurrecting their tag team, he hopes Don understands and not only wishes him well but hopes that he can bring Don in to work with his students! Bert wishes him nothing but luck with the school. Before getting to the match, Bert talks about Tonight! Tonight! Tonight! We have a huge tag team match as Cody Michaels and Bobby Blaze take on The Assassin and Brian Knighton at the Fairgrounds right here in Nashville! That is a main event you don't want to miss, that is for sure! We'll have more great matches as only Music City Wrestling can! And look what the cat dragged in! Ronnie P. Gossett has returned! He apologizes for having to skip out on "Uncle" Jackie but a touch of food poisoning ... Oh, please. Bert doesn't know what Gossett is up to but he is going to get to the bottom of this! Gossett wants to know what he has missed? Cuban Assassin versus JT Southern. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Calhoun takes control of things early sending the seconds to the back before getting underway. JT gets the fans on his side as if that would be a hard thing to do, and staggers the Cuban with a series of drop kicks. JT's speed and athleticism keeps the Cuban on his heels and in trouble for the first couple of minutes until a thumb to the eye buys him the opening he needs. JT's in trouble as the Cuban Assassin beats him around the ring but doesn't seem interested in winning the match as wanting to put a beating on his opponent. Referee Jerry Calhoun is instrumental in buying Southern precious seconds to clear his head and eye with several warnings to the Cuban who refuses to heed his instructions. A couple of shoves of the referee almost ends the match but Calhoun shoves back rather than call for the bell and the disqualification. With the Cuban Assassin's eye on the referee and no one in his corner to make him the wiser, he is a sitting duck for JT Southern who hooks one arm then the other back-to-back ... BACKSLIDE! Caught totally unaware, Cuban Assassin's legs flail as JT brings him to the mat ... 1! 2! 3! The Cuban Assassin kicks himself free JUST AFTER the three count! JT Southern unhooks him and slides out of the ring to celebrate with the fans as an irate Cuban Assassin kicks at the ropes when he finds Jerry Calhoun as also vacated the ring. Bert tells us our time is up and to come back next week for more wrestling action, right here on WCAY TV 30!

What didi you use to make the poster?
-
Music City takes Hardcore Harry as our final selection.
-
This is an interesting and informative format. It is very different from everyone else's material but gets the info out there. If it works for you, it works for me. I like it.
-
Wahoo and Lightfoot is going to end the only way it can with an Indian Death match. Blanchard/Garvin is going to be a good one.
-
The Sarge is coming to make things right! All will be good once he sends the Russian packing for good! Orndorff and Larry Z looks like a toss up match on paper but when it comes down to it, Larry's Glorious Years in the business are the difference that puts him over Orndorff.
-
Joe Lightfoot is still around to torment Wahoo. A win over Garvin would have been big for him. Starrcade should be a good one. Will be interested to see who Sean Moony is welcoming to the NWA.
-
Music City takes Paul Lee and Don Allen.

Voiceover: You are watching Music City Wrestling on WCAY-TV, Channel 30! Music plays to start the show over wrestling action from Music City's favorites before ending with the MCW logo. Music City Wrestling From the WCAY-TV studios in Nashville, Tennessee! Airing at 10:30 am Central on WCAY-TV, Channel 30 Taped: Thursday, November 9, 1988 Aired: Saturday, November 11, 1988 Bert Prentice & Ronnie P. Gossett IV Danny Davis & Jerry Calhoun - Referees An enthusiastic Bert Prentice welcomes everyone to the broadcast of Music City Wrestling's 30 minutes of action. The Wildside will be here today as Shawn Baxter takes on Fidel Sierra of the Cubans and in our Main Event, The Assassin looks for a little payback against Brian Knighton for his role in keeping The Assassin from his shot at the Heavyweight Title. Lot of action today to get to as Ronnie Gossett hopes Bert Prentice keeps his nose out of The Assassin's business! Bert says he has no interest in keeping anyone away from getting their fair shot at a title! Ronnie says that isn't what Jerry Lawler says! The Wildside comes out with Reno Riggins in tow. Both JT Southern and Shawn Baxter are excited about today's match which kicks off their war against the Cubans! Bert thinks that is easier said than done as the Cubans are a pair of rough customers who have been around block a couple of times. JT says that with these great fans behind them, there is no way they are going to lose. "USA all the way!" gets the fans pumped up for the coming battle. JT goes one better, saying that once they've dealt with the Cubans for what they did to Reno Riggins, The Wildside is throwing their hat into the ring and going after those tag team titles! Wait one second! Of course, that catches the attention of Reno Riggins who says he appreciates JT stepping in while he is on the shelf but a week or two from now, he'll be cleared by the doctors to be able to start wrestling again. Once that happens, Reno and Shawn will take a swing at those tag titles. No one ever said anything about this being a long term thing. JT says the way the arm looked last week, there was no way that Reno was going to be back in wrestling shape before the new year. Shawn diffuses the situation saying they are playing it all by ear and Reno's arm. Today though, Fidel Sierra is in for a little trip on the WILDSIDE! After the three leave arguing, Gossett says that Bert struck again by sticking his nose where it did not belong. He probably introduced them to JT Southern. Bert says he did no such thing. Dark Journey makes her way out, carrying the tag title belts. She talks about the match last week at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Bert throws in "the biggest crowd in Music City has seen since coming here". Jamie and Tojo showed off their superior skills when their opponents had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. They've proven time and again that they are the tag team champions and Miss Kentucky with Bruno and Moondog Morton are the imposters. Ronnie P. doesn't think Miss Kentucky is the problem as she is flawless, it is Bruno and Moondog Morton. Maybe she should find herself some real wrestlers to face MIdget Dundee and Old Man Tojo. Bert reminds him that Jamie Dundee and Tojo Yamamoto are the tag team champions and have fended off all comers so far. DJ finishes by saying they are getting ready to be done with them once and for all! As DJ leaves, Bert talks about the tag team division got a little bit stronger as The Nightmares are coming to Nashville! We get a brief video of them in action and they are coming to Music City Wrestling! Gossett says that Bert is beating a dead horse by showing this two weeks in a row. He can hype up the Nightmares all he wants but eventually, all roads leading to the tag team belts goes through the Renestos! Bert throws it to a commercial! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Shawn Baxter w/JT Southern versus Fidel Sierra w/Cuban Assassin. Referee Danny Davis. A speedy Baxter keeps SIerra off his feet with drop kicks and arm drags. Sierra with a stroll outside the ring clears his head before getting his hands on Baxter and roughing him up in the corner. It is the same dance throughout with Baxter outspeeding his opponent but any time Sierra gets his big mitts on the smaller man, he punishes Baxter. Back and forth they go with near pinfalls for both until the Cuban Assassin steps between the ropes and sets off a brawl between all four men. Danny Davis pisses everyone off with call for a double disqualification. Bert sends it to a commercial break! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... You will find us in Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin and of course, MCW IS COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert talks about the Nightmares coming to Nashville and Music City Wrestling. They have wrestled all over the world and wherever they've gone, they've won belts! Ronnie Gossett has news for Bert Prentice .. the same can be said for the Renesto Brothers and the sooner Bert learns that, the better for everyone. It would be good to get those belts around "real" wrestlers! The Assassin versus Brian Knighton. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Big match here with the ring vet Assassin taking on the rookie Knighton. Slow to get started as Brian keeps to his corner and the ropes, refusing to get into the match. Tired and frustrated with the slow start, The Assassin with a huge hip toss takes him out of the corner. The Assassin puts on a whooping, nailing Knighton right between the eyes. It is all The Assassin who is unable to put his opponent away. Champion Cody Michaels joins Bert and Ronnie during the match and talks about both guys. Gossett wants to know if Bert is behind any this, doing his best to make a great wrestler like The Assassin to look bad. Bert tells Michaels to ignore Gossett because he does. Assassin opens up with the knifehands when he notices Michaels on commentary. He comes to the near ropes and starts jawing as Ronnie tells him to ignore them. Big suplex and The Assassin strolls around the ring before going back to his position arguing with Michaels who gets out of his charge and takes a few steps closer. The Assassin with title belt gestures has Cody Michaels up from his seat and approaching ringside. The two go back and forth until the conversation escalates. Back and forth before Cody Michaels takes a swing and the challenger leans back out of the way, right into the arms of a waiting Knighton ... INSIDE CRADLE!!! KNIGHTON ROLLS HIM UP! Calhoun drops to the mat 1! 2! 3! BRIAN KNIGHTON HAS WON THE MATCH! Bert tells us our time is up and they have to go but before doing so, he tells Ronnie P. that he has a great big surprise for him next week! Gossett is like a little kid wanting to know what it is! Is he finally getting his Bert's dogs in the studio? He'll have to find out next week like everyone else! Bert says to come back next week for more wrestling action, right here on WCAY TV 30!

Music City Wrestling From the WCAY-TV studios in Nashville, Tennessee! Gossett IV Danny Davis & Jerry Calhoun - Referees An enthusiastic Bert Prentice welcomes everyone to the broadcast of Music City Wrestling's 30 minutes of action but before getting to the action but before we do, we need to discuss what came out of Tuesday's big show. Gossett wants to know if Bert is going to speak on the travesty of justice that the Spooktacular was? Oh brother! Ronnie P. says of course Bert doessn't want to talk about the Renesto Brothers, the most feared tag team in these parts STILL haven't gotten a shot at the titles! And going one better, what about The Assassin? What about The Assassin ... Speaking of The Assassin ... HERE HE COMES! The masked man wants to know what kind of games Bert Prentice is playing here? He FINALLY gets a shot at Cody Michaels and the Title only to have his victory stolen away by this punk kid Brian Knighton! The Assassin thinks Michaels and Knighton are in cahoots ... adding fuel to the fire, Ronnie P. says that Bert's also involved! Bert denies being involved in anything of the kind. Gossett asks if that is true, then why haven't the Renestos gotten a shot yet? The Assassin waves that off as he isn't here to talk about The Renestos ... he's here looking for some revenge. Right here, next week The Assassin wants Brian Knighton in the ring for some payback. He doesn't care about the WHY Brian Knighton stuck his nose in Assassin business, what he is concerned about is laying some knuckles upside his head! After The Assassin leaves, Bert wants to discuss other business as the tag team division got a little bit stronger as The Nightmares are coming to Nashville! We get a brief video of them in action and they are coming to Music City Wrestling! Gossett wonders if this is just another team that is going to get a shot at the belts before The Renestos do? Bert has had enough and throws it to a commercial! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Reno Riggins and Shawn Baxter come out to a cheer. Riggins arm is in a sling. Bert talks about their match against the Cubans at Spooktacular. While Riggins and Baxter won the match, the Cubans had the last laugh, injuring Reno Riggins ... the fans cheer as JT Southern comes out from the back. Fist bump between Baxter and Southern. JT is sorry to see Reno with the bum arm and wants to know if Reno is okay with Southern tagging with his old tag partner, Baxter? JT Southern promises that The Widlside will take care of the Cubans and send them packing! The two men high five and walk off together when Reno says he guesses so. Jamie Dundee w/Dark Journey & Tojo versus Moondog Morton w/Miss Kentucky & Bruno. Referee Danny Davis. Fast paced match between the two which sees Bruno and Miss Kentucky stick their noses in several times until DJ and Tojo do what they can to minimize the damage. Danny Davis has had enough and sends Bruno and Tojo to the back. Dundee gets Morton in trouble but Miss Kentucky puts her man's foot on the ropes to break up the pinfall. She even trips up Jamie which brings Dark Journey into the ring and is immediately cut off by Davis. With the distraction, Morton brings Dundee to the corner where he gets a dose of perfume sprayed in his eyes. The Moondog piledrives a blinded Jamie Dundee and makes the cover ... 1! 2! 3! Danny Davis quickly slaps out the count and Moondog Morton picks up the win! Miss Kentucky retrieves Morton and leads him away from the ring while Dark Journey argues with referee who saw nothing! She calls for a mic. Dark Journey: WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! DON'T GO ANYWHERE! NEXT TIME ONE OF MY GUYS FACES ONE OR BOTH OF YOURS, IF YOU ARE RINGSIDE MISS KENTUCKY, I AM GOING TO BE HANDCUFFED TO YOU TO MAKE SURE THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN! Bert says that Dark Journey is fed up and she is not going to take it anymore! Ronnie P. thinks that Dark Journey is over reacting just because Jamie Dundee lost fair and square. There is no way the State AThletic Commission would let an innocnet woman be handcuffed to a brute like Dark Journey! Bert sends it to a commercial break! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... You will find us in Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin and of course, MCW IS COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Dark Journey is angry and wants to get it off her chest! Something has to be done and it has to be done now! Ever since this Miss Kentucky came on the scene, she has cheated her way to several victories and it has to stop! She wants to be handcuffed to Miss Kentucky to end the cheating, end the foreign objects and end the involvement once and for all! Bert doesn't know about the handcuffs because there is no way Miss Kentucky would sign any match contracts and it would take the State Athletic Commission several days to get involved ... BUT what he can do is, TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT!, he can sign a tag team title match against Bruno and Moondog Morton ... A LUMBERJACK MATCH! That leaves the two teams to battle it out mano-a-mano with no interference from Miss Kentucky! The Cuban Assassin & Fidel Sierra versus Alan Reynolds and Ken Jugen. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Cuban Assassin and Fidel rough up their opponents.Bert believes referee Jerry Calhoun is doing everything in his power to keep them in line but the Cubans are animals! Ronnie P. pish poshes it and says the referee is incompetant! Bert is the senior referee and is highly capable! Alan Reynolds is double teamed before being planted in the canvas for the fairly one sided pasting they took..cc/tJ The Cubans put the boots to Reynolds and shortly dispatch Jugen to the outside with a stiff clothesline. HERE COMES SHAWN BAXTER! HERE COMES JT SOUTHERN! THE WIDLSIDE HITS THE RING AND COMES UP THROWING DOWN! DOWN GOES THE CUBAN ASSASSIN! DOWN GOES FIDEL SIERRA!BAXTER AND SOUTHERN CELEBRATE CHASING OFF THE BAD GUYS! Bert tells us our time is up and to come back next week for more wrestling action, right here on WCAY TV 30!

Music City Wrestling 11-1-1988 Nashville Fairgrounds Nashville, Tennessee From the Wednesday (11-2) Nashville Tennessean ...

Music City picks up the Nightmares.

Larry Z tells it like it is. Nelson is a spudhead and Larry called it and he will get that shot at the World title. He's been in this business for I don't know how many glorious years and looks to continue building on his legacy. I'd be pissed too if I was King Parsons. He is getting railroaded here, first with the belt being taken away and now that Brian has added Black Bart to "The Team". Kerry versus Terry is money whether or not there is a belt involved. Can't go wrong with it.
-
Man oh man, Piper is just asking for it. While he can take care of himself, there is a whole host of people he might not want to piss off. Spivey looks like he is on the inside about to be thrown to the curb. Not a good place to be. Don't think Flair took too kindly to Piper asking if Sting was now the man which I would tend to agree with IF Sting was in singles competition rather than tagging with Lex. The one guy being overlooked is Humongous. Humperdink is going to unleash him one of these days.

Voiceover: You are watching Music City Wrestling on WCAY-TV, Channel 30! It's The Assassin flanked by the Renesto Brothers. The Assassin talks yet again about the Renestos being overlooked for the tag team titles. Once again, it is Bert Prentice not only standing in the way of the best tag team in all of professional wrestling but he's doing his best to protect the Dundee name and a washed up has been by the name of Yamamoto. Gossett wants to address the elephant in the room with Bert making a quip about Ronnie being as big as one. Ronnie changes gears and tells Bert he doesn't really know who Ronnie is? Bert tells him that he's been here three weeks already and doesn't even know why that is. Gossett asks Bert if the name Fargo means anything to him? Of course, Bert has had a long relationship with Jackie Fargo. Ronnie asks if he knows brother Don Fargo? Of course he does. Gossett asks if knows any of Don Fargo's wives? Bert says he's met a couple of them in the past which leads Gossett asking if he's heard any of the rumors and talk in the locker room. Gossett says many of those rumors are true and Ronnie P. Gossett IV is the love child of Don Fargo and Elmira Gossett. Now, Jackie Fargo has been an upstanding person Ronnie's whole life and when Ronnie called about getting him here to Nashville and Music City Wrestling, Uncle Jackie was more than happy to help ... NOW, CAN WE GET ON WITH IT AND BERT ANSWER WHY HE'S BEEN PROTECTING JAMIE DUNDEE AND TOJO YAMAMOTO AND IGNORING THE RENSTOS? Bert defends his decision for the Dundee/Yamamoto match against Bruno and the Moondog. Those two teams have been going at it tooth and nail all over the territory. Just last week, Gossett offered Miss Kentucky a title match for her team right here on television. He didn't offer it to the Renestos, did he? As far as The Assassin goes, he doesn't mention a thing about him facing Cody Michaels at Spooktacular ... Wait a second, here come Rocky King and Johnny Weiss and they are complaining about being the rightful challengers for the tag titles. Bert rolls his eyes as he listens to the Weiss' complaints. Again, Bert defends his decision for the match at Spooktacular but he believes in giving everyone their due shot and since they want their shot at the titles and the Renestos want their shot at the title ... about the two teams face each other at Spooktacular and the winner then come talk to him about their shot at the belts? Can we just get onto the opening match? The Ninjas versus Rocky King & Johnny Weiss. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Weiss and King mouth off about having this one in the bag and are booed by the fans. They then jump the Ninjas. The match goes well for them as they show some cohesiveness and double team moves before the Ninjas battle back in the match. The masked men are actually cheered by the fans. The match starts to get away from them as the Ninjas come on and nearly pin Weiss. Bert asks Gossett is he wants to give Weiss and King a shot at the titles? Ronnie calls it a momentary set back against the cheating Ninjas and blames the referee as being biased. Oh brother! King complains about his hair being pulled, despite not having any. Following an eye rake, he and Weiss isolate the Ninja and work him over. They both take several shortcuts that has Bert asking Gossett if he saw any of that. Of course, Ronnie did not. Double suplex and Weiss and King pick up the win. Obvious as to who the fans back with Blaze slapping hands and giving hugs. He offers to shake hands with Allen before the match starts but Dennis Allen slaps the hand away. Dennis Allen is able to work a side headlock and does some mouthing off before Blaze is able to get to shoot him off. Shoulder butt puts Allen down and a couple of elbow drops softens him up. Davis, slow to get down, slaps out a two count before Dennis Allen barely gets a shoulder up. Blaze with a few words for the referee who stands by his two count. Bobby Blaze gets back to work, getting the fans to cheer and chant for him which isn't liked by his opponent. Ronnie Gossett doesn't think Blaze will be having as much "fun" when he has to face Don Bass at the Spooktacular but Bert isn't so sure about that. While Blaze might be new to the game, he carries himself like a seasoned veteran. THE BLAZE BUSTER! It is all over with Danny Davis slapping out the three count. Bert with one last sell of the Spooktacular, tells us our time is up and to come back next week for more wrestling action, right here on WCAY TV 30!

Thanks! I thought that was Bad News Brown but for the life of me was stumped on Rick Rude.

Haha, looks like someone slapped Gorilla Monsoon and knocked his glasses sideways. Looks like Hogan already has someone looking to step in an steal his spot for a shot at Savage. Would not want to be the Macho Man. I do like that Savage figure. Only thing I ask for is the names of the winners for the All American results. Not sure who all of them are. #2 and 3?

As a viewer on the outside, this rivalry between Hogan and Savage has been built for several weeks with a largely silent Hogan in the beginning, then him coming out and doing "Full Hogan". Good build, 1988 style. Fans of both Hogan and Savage should be happy with how it all went down leading to a huge match. This is the start of something big ... Or is it? Cage match on Saturday Night Main Event ... on free TV ... AND ... isn't even the Main Event!?!?! Hogan is able to beat Heenan bloody which allows Savage to escape even though Savage didn't want to leave the cage a little earlier when he had Hogan down. Okay, I can overlook the logic after the big miss by Savage. Title change, yadda yadda ... Hogan on the mic, good, good but no mention of a rematch? The former champion gets no rematch? All the build which was a big build and we get a one and done match? There's no feud? There's no rematch? There is no chase by Hogan being put through hoops to get that rematch by Heenan? And from Savage's point of view, he's just going to take the win and move on? He didn't even beat Hogan. In fact Hogan was in a better spot to leave the ring at that time than Randy was. If Heenan wasn't there, Hogan skips out of the ring. Jake Roberts is next in line ...
