Major thread bump to announce I'm finally doing a friggen podcast on this subject. Anyway, here's what I posted on Facebook earlier

 

One week from today, Johnny, Pete and Kelly will record the first Titans Two-In-One, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the famed Muhammad Ali vs Antonio Inoki match from June 25, 1976. Titans of Wrestling #62 will be an in-depth look at all the hoopla surrounding the fight (including Ali fighting wrestlers in the AWA!). The boys will look at how it came about, how wide-ranging the tie-ins with the territories around the USA were, and of course provide analysis of the fight itself. Then on Mystery Titans Theatre, join the boys as they watch not only all 15 glorious rounds of Ali vs Inoki but also Andre the Giant vs Chuck Wepner from Shea Stadium. Look out for the Titans Two-In-One in just over a week fans!

The Mystery Titans of Andre vs Wepner match is on Dailymotion. Tried multiple times to get Ali vs Inoki up to no avail. Titans TV youtube is restricted to 15 minute videos and Dailymotion sucks for uploads. The audio of Johnny and I watching Ali vs Inoki is on the PWO-PTBN feed

I dug Andre/Wepner way more than I thought I would as well. I kind of want someone to write a book about that match with the same premise as Ali/Inoki.
