Cobra Commander Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Williams and Kay brought quite a bit of what we probably see now as standard heel tag team fare there with the doubleteams/etc. Al Williams apparently put the children of 1940s tattoo artists through college. Interesting description about partners having to "shake hands" to tag (which they did sometimes, probably just a linguistic quirk of the times) and interesting that both guys had to be pinned to win a fall, which is a format that is still used in Mexican tag team matches i've seen recently. Moonsault Marvin Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 Williams and Kay worked heel, but Russ Davis and the crowd rooted against the other team, apparently because they were from South America. The highlight of the match was Hombre Montana airplane spinning Williams and dumping him over the ropes, onto the apron, and out of the ring. Quote
Kronos Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 I have been watching a bunch of matches tonight, and this long one was the last. I confess to only half watching it. The most entertaining thing was wondering what un-PC thing Russ Davis was going to say next. This match deserve a second, more focused look. Quote
