Dylan Waco
Barring some unforeseen disaster I'll be watching this show live. The other day on Twitter I ranked the matches in order of my interest, so I figured I'd bring that over here as well. I'll steal the Voices of Wrestling gimmick and rank my over all interest in match on a scale of 1-10 next to each bout in parenthesis. 1. Suzuki v. Sakuraba (9) 2. Styles v. Naito (8) 3. Nakamura v. Ibushi (7) 4. IWGP Junior tag title (6) 5. Ishii v. Makabe (6) 6. Bullet Club v. Honma and Friends (5) 7. Yano and NOAH guys v. Suzuki-Gun (4) 8. Okada v. Tanahashi (3) 9. Shibata/Goto v. Anderson/Gallows (1) 10. Omega v. Taguchi (0) Interested to see how watching this live will effect my viewing experience. I will probably live tweet it to, though I'm not sure of that yet. I really hope that they do something out of the box with the main event (I'm crossing my fingers for a bomb throwing sprint), but I'm not holding my breathe. Suzuki/Sakuraba is the match you're most interested in? Easily, not even close. I love high end shootstyle, love both guys when they are on, and the build through the tag league for their match was fucking awesome. Suzuki/Sakuraba is the match you're most interested in? It is for me. I'll admit to being shocked that, on this card, that is anyone's most anticipated match. I remain amazed that people think Okada v. Tanahashi is even a very good series, let alone an all time classic series. But I"ve largely given up trying to understand it and just accept it for what it is.

As for Tanahashi/Okada, it's not my all time favourite series, but I like Okada 's comebackish story, and since this will likely be their last big match up for at leadt a while (and should be the peak of their series overall), I'm hoping to be blown away. You're not a big fan of Tanahashi though, so I see where you wouldn't care much. I think Sakuraba ia atrocious as a pro wrestler, so I know how you feel. Dylan Waco
I really want Okada v. Tanahashi to be a sub-20 minute, bomb throwing sprint. In my ideal match it would go 10-12 mins but that is completely unrealistic. In all honestly it's probably unrealistic to assume it won't go thirty or more, but I think this match up could use something different. I have faith they'll do something different than their previous matches as Tanahashi seems quite aware of changing things up semi-logically throughout his series, but as much as I would love a big bomb sprint, I can't see them doing that. Though the rage online if they do will be fantastic.

Also, if they mess up the timing on the ret of the PPV, you might get your wish.
