Boon
Background. Bobby (Dee) Bearden is a former wrestling referee and wrestling promoter who has closely worked with Southeastern Championship Wrestling for just under a year. Due to a legal battle with wrestling promoter Verne Gagne, Alabama Wrestling Alliance was forced to change its name to Southern States Wrestling. Southern States Wrestling covers areas of Northern Georgia and Northern Alabama. SSW has two titles, Alabama Heavyweight Title which will now be known as Southern States Heavyweight Title and the Alabama Tag Team Title which will be now know as Southern Tag Team Titles. Southern States Wrestling isn't in alliance with either of the national governing bodies, it runs local shows using locally based talent. These shows will work as a way for rookies to get some experience in front of a live audience. Southern States Wrestling is always looking for young talent to help run shows, so feel free to send them along. kevinmcfl
Great to see Action Jackson back on the winning side. He deserved better than what I was doing with him in Memphis. Here come the Midnights. The future is bright! Love how you try to keep the promotion historically correct by bringing back Phil Hickerson and using him in mostly tag action due to his age. I tend to rush things or slow play them just because of their name instead of understanding it is the name + the year that we are simulating. Keep up the great work! rainmakerrtv
Sorry to be a pain in the neck, but wasn't the original Action Jackson (Perry Jackson) a reference to the Carl Weathers movie that came out in 1988?
Boon
Sorry to be a pain in the neck, but wasn't the original Action Jackson (Perry Jackson) a reference to the Carl Weathers movie that came out in 1988? Maybe, I just thought it was a catchy nickname? Didn't realise it had relevance. Have I just altered the universe and create an alternative universe inadvertently? rainmakerrtv
Looks like there were previous Action Jacksons in the world before that (including a Chicago gangster in the 40s) so just never mind me. It's a fairly natural euphonious nickname, after all.
