Beast
A 1988 video from the United Association of Wrestling Fans gathering featuring names like Dennis Coralluzo, Paul Heyman, Dave Meltzer, Lance Russell, Eddie Gilbert, and Missy Hyatt has been posted on youtube. Watching it now, pretty interesting for the novelty of seeing these people in a non-TV setting.
Johnny P
Fascinating to see Dennis Coralluzo & Paul Heyman interact. and Meltzer's suspenders. Actually shocked the wrestlers allowed this to be filmed with Meltzer around. But then, you'd have to get a VHS copy sent somewhere at the time, so I guess they weren't to concerned. I'm likely missing somebody obvious, but the only two workers I saw on the tape were Heyman and Gilbert, who were both already well known to be fans turned wrestlers plus Hyatt who was Gilbert's gf at the time. Plus, Lance Russell, but ya' know, it's Lance Russell in Memphis. What the hell are you going to do to him even if you are upset at him for being in the same room with Dave? Also, seeing Dave kind of jacked at this time, I have a possibly odd question - is possibly part of the reason why wrestlers got closer to Dave than other insiders of the time was because well, he kind of looked like them, especially compared to his competition? He's spoken of having worked out with plenty of wrestlers in his lifetime and yeah, I've always wondered this too.
