A sprawling match that worked to a degree but never really broke through to that next level like I hoped and at sometimes it threatened too. The brawling was good, the mat wrestling was good, even the bits of comedy was good like Wagner grabbing the woman’s purse at ringside. Everything moved along nicely and it told a good story of El Samurai rising up from the onslaught to win. A good match that somehow still makes me feel a bit hollow after watching. ***

Wagner doing some of the brawling he would do with LA Park years later here was nice. I think if this was about 5 minutes shorter it would be better than it was. Still not a big El Samurai fan even though he brought some fire.

Yeah this offered a little bit of everything to me and I enjoyed it although it did feel kind of long when it was over. El Samurai was believable in using a little opening to grab a desperation reverse DDT. I thought this was good just a little underwhelming.
