soup23
AJ is getting bumped around like crazy at the start and it is a ton of fun. Boogaloo Crew is a good bruising team that is a better version of Bad Crew that we have seen. The action opens up a bit with big dives featured from JC Dazz and Onyx. Dazz takes another huge dive over a few rows of fans as we go to a break. The barn is rocking and this was a great shine sequence. Styles and Onyx are finally able to take over and they do an effective job although it appears that AJ gets legit shaken up and as a result a few of the spots look a little off. Schmozz finish was predictable but a little disappointing but the brawl to end the program is frantic. NWA Wildside has slowly changed in the beginning of the year to be a fun check in at early AJ and see the Rock N Rolls work to a good promotion with fairly exciting tv to cover from week to week. *** (6.2)
Tim Evans
I did not expect JC Dazz to be doing Mascara dorada type dives in 2000 but here we go. Onyx and AJ make a good team with AJ bumping all over the place and Onyx doing power moves. Chad is right about Wildside turning more and more into a tv promotion as the year goes on. GSR
The NWA Elite try another combination in their quest to add the Wildside tag team titles to their stables. Fun opening involving Styles, Onyx and Dazz, almost like this is as three way dance as opposed to a tag match. A.J. bumps big for Wrenn but manages to avoid a running clothesline, pulling down the top rope in the process as Scotty sails over it to the outside. A springboard crossbody by Styles is the start of a dive train, culminating with a recovered Wrenn plancha onto the other three. I don’t know if I’d be overly willing to break the fall of a flying Scotty Wrenn! The Elite with a double suplex on the wooden floor to Dazz before dumping Wrenn into the front row as the action spills into the crowd. Dazz has recovered and a crazy dive off the ring post into the audience. The crowd loved that and there’s a great atmosphere here with them super behind the Boogaloo Crew. Styles continues to bump and fly around tremendously for their offense. A blind tag catches Dazz off guard and he runs into an Onyx powerslam. Inverted atomic drop followed by a superkick. Slingshot senton by A.J. just as we go to our SECOND commercial break of the match!!! It looks like Dazz has taken a knock on his elbow as it’s swollen right up, the commentators even mentioning it. Tag to Wrenn who launches the Elite around with ease. Huge release overhead pump handle slam on Styles and a spinebuster for Onyx. Scotty counters the Styles quesadora with a belly to back suplex, Dazz providing the assist. A variation of the ‘Van Daminator’, ‘Boogaloo bounce’ and here is Terry Knight and Jeff G. Bailey interfering for the DQ. The Cole twins are out to assist their fellow members of the NWA Elite and are followed, in order, by Total Destruction (Sean Royal & Rusty Riddle), Shank and Bad Attitude as we have a hot brawl to close out the show.
