Loss
I put this together as a site manifesto of sorts. To answer the question now, I used "us" and "we" not to imply that everyone at the board thinks about wrestling exactly this way, but to scale for growth, since the main site will not always just be me. Anyway, I'd love to hear thoughts from all of you on this: https://www.prowrestlingonly.com/blog/how-matches-are-rated
TheDuke
Having it go to 10 instead of 5, and having the decimal places instead of quarters should help differentiate comparing different matches. Not all 4 and a Quarter Star matches are created equal for example, so this should help in those situations where usually you may say "This match is better than this match but not good enough to deserve another quarter star rating." It should also help as you mentioned to keep from jumping to ridiculous ratings like 6 out of 5 stars for example.
