Great heel, proficient in both technical wrestling and underhanded roughhousing. The Jesse James match is a classic."
fxnj
Feels like one of those guys who's just too good to leave off even with limited footage. Besides the Jesse James match, which stands as one of the best matches on American soil(tm) that we have on video, he was also known as one of the top tag team specialists when he was active. The Millers match also gets a rec from me. Footage I'm aware of w/ Roy Heffernan vs. Bill Miller & Ed Miller 1/24/1958 w/ Roy Heffernan & Jerry Graham v. Antonio Rocca, Miguel Perez, & Ricki Starr 1958 vs. Jesse James 6/8/1960 w/ Roy Heffernan vs. Mighty Atlas & Moose Cholak 7/13/1961 w/ Don Kent vs. Ben Justice & The Stomper 12/18/1971 w/ Don Kent vs. Leon Chandler & Bill Costello 5/5/1973 There's probably a lot more hidden away in private collections. Looks like he had a tour with AJPW in 1979 as well, though I don't think any of his matches got televised.
