Because BIG MEATY MEN SLAPPING MEAT! Just read an interview Big E did where he mentioned his C1 vertebra was fractured in two places, holy shit he's lucky he didn't get killed. Ironically it was probably the MEATYNESS that saved his life. He also said he's back to normal for a non-wrestling life and it's pretty much a matter if he can get to the point he can feel comfortable taking bumps.
