  1. I hate to agree with you..but you may be right.. I personally don't like Rey or anything he's done in the last 8 years...but that is just me.. I guess the fact that I do like Greg Gagne's in ring work in the 80's doesn't help my side either!!!
  2. I actually thought Angle...but living in Pittsburgh, I hear about him far more than most I guess... Others here in the 'Burgh can testify to that...If he goes to court about a ticket, its on TV...
  3. Hogan, especially overseas, where he's not seen LIVE as much, will ALWAYS be a big draw...whether he's in the ring or not.. As for US, draws today....I think CM Punk could be considered a "draw". But I don't have the numbers to back that up.
  4. Any idea where I could find that show for D/L?
  5. As good as the first three years are...its amazing its not been done.... Even 95 is OK.....its HAS to happen! Yes, 2017 it is if we cant find it by then!
  6. Are there ANY podcasts out there talking about the history of SMW? If not, one should be made going over each year (1992 / 1993 / 1994 / 1995) individually, big shows, big angles, famous moments...
  7. Chad would have known I bet...
  8. Thanks...now to put these all in order and label the right dates!!!
  9. WOW... I could not find ANYTHING about her... I even asked some older family members.....nothing... Thanks for the info......hope her show was better than her showing at this show!
  10. 10-10 looks right... The First PWUSA TV show starts with Rock N Roll vs. Nightmares correct? Just want to make sure I am not missing anything in my shows.

  16. Shawn would certainly make my Top 100...but I am a 100% US / North America focused fan..... He would certainly even make my Top 10....but a lot of that is due to him being a personal favorite as I was growing up...so there is a lot of bias there. But his in ring work is phenomenal and to me, got better for his 2002 - 2011 run...
  17. Checking out all these shows...great stuff....really enjoying it...especially the AWA one.. Will be listening to the Montreal one tomorrow and the second half of the 1996 set.. Also in the middle of the Gimmicks show....funny as hell. Keep up the good work!

  19. Well stated...Worldwide (and even Pro) were WAY better than the "muthasheeep" (If ya wheel) on Saturday Nights.. Worldwide (and Pro) you got to see way more competitive matches and full angles take place. I fuckin hated when you'd see Sat night WCW and they'd show an angle, but only the end...I would just sit there wanting to see the whole lead up as well...thankfully I found WWW on TV late Sat night's. I'd actually see the whole angle go down from what they talked about 3 hours earlier...
  20. I am so happy to see the AWA getting the love it deserves....its one of the best promotions of all time in my opinion. Finding KHawk years ago and his vault of AWA greatness has provided me with a ton of great matches and TV from all eras..thanks for being the "AWA guru". The AWA was one of the first shows I got hooked on wrestling with in early 1986 and one of the main reasons I started collecting...I will still say 85 - 90 had some greatness in it at various points that rivals others at the same time period....some of the lesser liked things not on the set that I still enjoy: Nick Kiniski / Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa) - I dont know why but these three worked really well together as a cocky arrogant, "better than you" tag team. They had some good tags against other teams aside from the Midnight Rockers Nasty Boys vs. Midnight Rockers (1988) - These guys a good TV match as well, worth finding if interested Nikita Koloff vs. Larry Z - 2/3 Falls - AWA Title - Not sure if this is the one on the set, but I like this match better than their first singles encounter Boris Zhuchov / Barbarian vs. Midnight Rockers - These teams had a couple good TV matches Boris Zhuchov / Barbarian vs. Greg Gagne / Jimmy Snuka - Really enjoyed this as well Road Warriors vs. Baron Von Rasche / Curt Hennig - AWA Tag Titles - I think this in Wisconsin. The Roadies beat the living hell out of Curt after he gets his head stuck in the ropes (ala Foley in later years) with a chair. Its funny seeing Curt blade and Hawk quickly try to put the chair in front of him to hide it. Hennig bleeds buckets and does a great sell job after the match lying in his dad's arms. This would lead the Road Warriors vs. Hennigs on 4/21/85. But the best part is the absolute RIOT that almost breaks out when the Warriors are heading to the back...these people are pissed and attacking... EDIT - Its in the extras...ENJOY IT, ITS INCREDIBLE Badd Company vs. Guerreros - AWA Tag Titles - 1988 / 1989 - These two teams had several great matches on TV Destruction Crew squashes - They beat the fuck out of teams and their "Decapitation Device" used to look like it hurt people...one in particular I will forever remember was the poor guy landing on the top of his head...it was brutal.. Jimmy Snuka gets attacked by Col. Debeers - This was during a Snuka vs. Larry Z TV match. If you havent seen it, find it...Debeers attacks Snuka and leaves him in a pool of blood, and I especially love the fan at ringside ready to attack Debeers. Snuka's interviews over the next few weeks are great as well...a subdued, injured Superfly.. SOO MANY MORE!! The AWA will always be one of my top 2 promotions of all time (with JCP)
