  1. It's at the point where they must be intentionally baiting people with stuff like this.
  2. I've seen it off and on for years dating back to an article somewhere, but I can't recall what it was. Can anyone remember?
  3. I remember the earlier Nowinski interviews (pre-SLI, I think) saying that his doctor said that if he ever ended up going a month without headaches, he'd be healed enough to return. It never happened.
  4. He said he's had numerous, the "two" were just his Grade Vs. The big talking point this week was that three is the number where things get permanent.
  5. You seem to be in denial about it, but you're kinda fucked.

    WWE's coming fall

Speaking of the Divas and steroids, Keller posted this at the Torch site: To which Victoria replied on her MySpace blog... Thankfully for Victoria, a lot of fans are too dumb or deluded to see what's right in front of their faces.
  7. Wait, why do I have to be the killer?

    WWE's coming fall

According to all of the key wrestling reporters, Congress is way more on top of everything than people would expect, to the point of intentionally asking WWE and TNA for things they didn't have (studies and a drug testing policy respectively) to make them squirm.

    WWE's coming fall

This may have been undersold even moreso than the concussion story is. For what it's worth, the original written policy did not state the frequency of the tests, nor the threshold for any drugs other than steroids, so even if they sent it, there would be nothing to learn from it on that front. It did state that testing was random, though.
  10. It's pretty mind-boggling that they added that as opposed to just dismissing the idea that the injuries made his mental state worse when PICTURES OF HIS BRAIN ARE IN THE NEWS.

  12. Oh man, that fucking match. Briscoe had like two weeks after he took some ridiculous head drop on his head, and then focused an entire match around getting dumped on his head repeatedly without protecting himself. That match made me hate wrestling for a good few weeks. Mark Briscoe might die before he's 35, legit. Didn't he also have a violent outburst in the lockerroom when he woke up, the same way Delirious did? EDIT: Or was that when he had a seizure?
  13. I thought the part about how taking unprotected chairshots to the head "was his way of respecting the business" was even more screwed up. Also, ROH feels quite disgusting when you realize how the severe concussions received by Marc Briscoe & Delirious were handled earlier in the year, and that is a company not run by VINCE MCMAHON.
  14. On a similar note, from a radio interview w/ Rob Van Dam about Benoit's brain: What a fucking fucked up business.

WCW stopped going, too. Both companies claimed other reasons but I've not sure what they were.
  16. A few minutes ago, Anderson Cooper 360 had a short segment about the story. Dr. Sanjay Gupta (a neurosurgeon who is CNN's chief medical correspondent) briefly went over the case and for the most part repeated what we already learned (and added credence to SLI's findings), but added that there is also a condition known as "steroid encephalopathy" and Benoit showed no signs of it.

  18. I have no idea what happened to him. Never got to deal with him myself. You have anything else from him?
  19. Why do you guys think this story has received a relatively minimal response to far online? I think that it probably comes down to the fact that: - A lot of people are too dumb to see how important it is. - A lot of people are no-selling it because they are afraid that being fans of more reckless wrestling makes them responsible. - A lot of people are afraid that it will make their favorite promotions look bad. Etc. It really is a sad look at the minds of wrestling fans.
  20. http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=20635 And from ABC News (re-uploaded to ImageShack in case the link goes bad): Julian Bailes of the Sports Legacy Institute showed an image from a healthy brain versus Chris Benoit's brain, which showed brown spots indicating signs of cell death, similar to what an Alzheimer patient's brain might look like.
  21. Is it just me, or is the audio pitch of the WCCW show too low (presumably due to whatever issues the master tape has)?
  22. http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_21611.shtml What a week.

Prescription loophole, specifically that it allows someone to flash it after failing so they can pass, when if you had a non-smokescreen, legit prescription policy, it would require prior disclosure.

    WWE's coming fall

It wasn't just being cheap-he also hated the way that the safe version looked and pretty much insisted on a quick release.
