  1. And all smart marks are virgins who live in their parents' basement, right. All Middle Easterners want to kill you for being an infidel. Why apply such massive, sweeping generalities to large groups of people? You basically have to have at least tiny bit of craziness in you to become a wrestler, take the punishment, go on the road, etc. A lot of wrestlers are much, much more crazy than that. Bobby Eaton had to be at least a little crazy to be a wrestler (and take the bumps that he did), but otherwise, not that crazy. Still somewhat crazy, though. Also, Kevin: As long as you're naming them, you forgot Rey Mysterio.
  2. Tape damaged beyond broadcastabilty?
  3. Depth issues related to lots of people getting injured.

  5. Bill Murdoch? There are not a hundred Dick Murdochs.
  6. I believe the main event is directly assiocated with the success of a company. He carries the weight of the company. No one pays to see the midcard guys, so if the numbers are down, regardless of poor booking, the main guy is at fault. Just my opinion. Do you honestly think it would be possible for WWE to increase PPV buys substantially when they run SIXTEEN TIMES A YEAR AT $40 A SHOW? The big four will always do well, but with their current pricing & scheduling, how the hell do you expect them to do something like 200,000-250,000 buys domestically for every show?
  7. This past summer alone he's put over Carlito and Khali. He lost that ridiculously long match to Michaels back in April in England. He lost to Edge lots of times last year, including twice on PPV. He put over RVD at One Night Stand. Really, the problem with Cena is that he doesn't do jobs? He hasn't lost a title match in almost a year, but Cena has lost a lot of TV matches for a guy who is supposedly being protected. That too.
  8. Then again, Cena has been booked as the unstoppable superman for so long that it's unprecedented in recent wrestling history. You have to go back to Hogan to find someone who lost fewer matches.
  9. They didn't make a profit, but Watts did cut the losses.
  10. There's also the fact that 16 PPVs in a year at $40 each was probably the breaking point for a LOT of people buying the amount of PPVs they used to.
  11. References in the WON to Vince & Linda having a loveless marriage are always funny for some reason.
  12. And Khali's had two.
  13. That's where the managers come in.
  14. I think it's less that and more "OMG WE STILL CAN'T KNOW ANYTHING FOR SURE!!!!111"
  15. Also: "Atlantic Constitution."
  16. Jerry McDevitt's response to Congress, which notes that drug testing records were attached and there would be more to follow (PDF file). The part where they subtlely imply that they are RIGHT and the media is WRONG about the testosterone issue is pretty rich:
  17. Did Gigante bump? Khali does now. Whaaaat? That match was fine, Silva took every bump he could to make it fun. That and the Candido match were the best pre-Cena matches Khali had.
  18. You'd be surprised.
  19. Was awful. A bunch of sterile crap with lots of dumbassed Jerry Lynn missed shoulderblock -> legdrop spots.
  20. Boogey was actively better than John Morrison last night in their match. This isn't usually the case, but Boogey's still improved a lot (and if you never watch his matches as you claim...). Snitsky's also improved past "worst wrestler in the company," though neither of them did it as dramatically as Sylvan Grenier did pre-firing. I haven't seen enough Phoenix to judge. As much as I enjoy him, I think there's a good argument for Khali.
  21. Err. Also, not an individual career move.
  22. Boogeyman is not worst wrestler in the company.
  23. Xavier isn't around much anymore.
