  3. A few weeks after Survivor Series '87, Titan was claiming a 7.5% buyrate for about 525,000 buys in the available universe, which I kind of doubt.
  4. Confirmation that WM1 was on PPV from Broadcasting. It did a 10% buyrate among however few homes actually had access.
  5. It's not that the everyone who is anti-Jones is racist. It's that being OK with Cormier or Rampage doesn't mean they're not racist in their dislike for Jones.
  6. Humble black guy vs. cocky black guy "who doesn't know his place." Who are you speaking about here? Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones, but it equally could apply to Rampage Jackson vs. Rashad Evans. I could not disagree more. With Rampage and Rashad, I'm not sure which one would be considered "humble" and which one would be "cocky" since both have shown heaping helpings of both attributes in their respective careers...especially against each other. Rampage was still an "acceptable" black archetype, though, because his appeal as a personality was doing vaguely shucking and jiving comedy.
  7. He's probably too short for WWE like the Headhunters were. I loved this, though, and was the one who sent it to Loss. I wasn't sure what to think of Falla(h) being such an blatant Yokozuna knockoff but he's either really good or at least agile and promising enough for Homicide to carry him well. And wow, this match reminds you just how good Homicide is. Sometimes I wonder if he'd be better off career-wise with a different gimmick, because he's such a tiny dude for his persona even if he carries himself perfectly.

  9. There's a folder for this.
  10. After this show, the answer to the thread title is definitively "Yes."
  11. If you're cool with sideloading the book, I put it up on PayHip for anyone in the world to buy. I also get more of the money that way and you get both Mobi (Kindle) and ePub (everything else) eBook files.
  12. I can't even remember how it came to mind, but I noticed Fall Guys isn't available in the Kindle store. So since it's public domain, I decided to take the opportunity to put one together. It's fully formatted with chapters, a table of contents, all of the proper text formatting, etc. Go buy it here. By far the best digital version to date, and now I can go work on something I actually wrote myself.
  13. You don't want to know. If by some chance you do, Wikipedia has by far the best overall explanation.
  14. They did Halftime Heat in 2000 for an Austin sitdown interview. Was it ever explicitly stated where the arena of cheering fans and the other announcing team were supposed to be?
  15. I also saw on some Deep South Wrestling (Jody Hamilton's Georgia indy from the late 80s) listings that had Mike Atkins as a wrestler and now I kind of really want to track that down.Glad to see I'm not the only one who always wondered what happened to him. Seems strange that nobody knows, especially if he was Nick Patrick's brother in law.

  19. Speaking of the Fire TV Stick, am I doing something wrong or is the VOD FFwd/search unbearably slow compared to PS3 & PS4?

  21. Kunkel wrote for...like, every single newsletter. Perspective, Torch...I'm forgetting a bunch. Why write about wrestling in the book in the first place if you're going to whitewash it in such a strange way?

    Punk to UFC

Wrote about this more in the new F4W that isn't out yet, this is, no bullshit, the only fight that makes sense. Frank is 1-0, five years older than Punk, fairly beat up physically but he's by far the biggest name they could get and a lifelong martial artist. Otherwise you're risking some unknown newbie beats Punk and is eaten alive in his next fight.
  23. Yes, more or less. VINCE~!
  24. There's a way to re-encode it with hard-coded subs. Shouldn't be too hard.
