But it's not, if someone absorbs a promotion they can only take a max 10 and then the rest get drafted out. There are 8 new wrestlers a month, I picked up two last month because people passed...
-
Parv original model was brilliant, so well planned and thought out.
-
Georgia was running two shows a day, WWF have 30 plus wrestlers, if you can't run 2 shows with 15 guys then I'd be shocked.
-
Effort is based on individuals outputs. You may put more time into your booking because you have more time to do it? Doesn't mean you put more effort in? Just because your output is higher? If you want a massive roster with everyone you want why don't you just do your own project and book mega shows for yourself. This is a game, the last thing on people's minds was to stockpile and have massive rosters of stars when we started. You have a top roster with what you have, if you want to run more shows, loan talent in for certain days, like I have done with Southwest and ICW, like Kris was doing in Georgia.

It seems Low Blow your not happy with your Mid South roster to me, so maybe you should have first refusal on Georgia/Florida/New York (maybe). I know your working with other people's drafted rosters, and that can be annoying I understand that. But I'm not trying to be a dick but we all agreed rules and they shouldn't be changed after just 3 months.

You can't run two, it doesn't make sense. Your either Mid South or WWF surely?

PROUD MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV Saturday 24th September 1983 Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTVY Television Studio in Dothan, AL Hosted by Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart Before we go to the studio we go to the dying moments of “Loser Leaves Town For 90 Days” match between Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Dirty” Dutch Mantell and “Bullet” Bob Armstrong. [ "Bullet" Bob got the win following a Jaw Breaker on Dutch at the 15 minute mark, following a bloody brawl, following the pin. After the match Brad and Scott joined there father in the ring to celebrate. Then from the back two unknown wrestlers dressed similar to The Flame get in the ring along with The Flame while Dutch rolls out. The Flame and the unknown men attack the Armstrong's, some wrestlers come from the back to try and break up this attack but it looks as if "Dirty" Dutch lives up to his name and has locked the cage door. The attack continues until someone breaks the lock and the 3 attackers climb out of the cage and flee to the back while the Armstrong's are beaten down.] The credits roll and we go to Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart who welcome the fans to today’s show. Today in action we will see new Television Champion Charlie Cook defend his title against Nightmare Ken Wayne, Jim Cornette’s new team The Heavenly Bodies up against Josh Stroud and Gene Ligon and Brad and Scott Armstrong will be our main event against The Moondog and Ted Allen. At this point Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob and his two sons Brad and Scott Armstrong come to the announcers table. “Bullet” Bob says that he told everyone that he would win back the Southeastern title and send Dutch Mantell packing for 90 days and he’s over the moon to have done that for the Southeastern fans. He’s also glad his son Brad has returned to Alabama, but unfortunately someone had to sour that moment on Monday, and that was The Flame, but on Monday night put right as Brad will be taking on The Flame one on one and I know he can get the win and put The Flame out. He would also like to challenge the two charges that helped The Flame in their attack on him and his sons, he doesn’t know who they are but on Monday night he will team with Scott to tag on the unknown two wrestlers. === Advert === Jim Cornette who turned his back on Ricky Gibson and Tim Horner on Monday night and introduced his new team to the fans, is standing in the middle of the ring with the ring announcers microphone, he introduces his new team “Doctor of Desire” Tom Pritchard and “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, The Heavenly Bodies. The newly named Heavenly Bodies are taking on Josh Stroud and Gene Ligon. The impressive Heavenly Bodies make light work of their opponents and Pritchard hits a second rope elbow drop on Stroud while Eaton has him in the back breaker position. The win came after 6 minutes of action. After the match Jim Cornette and his new team came to the announcer’s desk, Cornette sets out his stall by challenging the Southeastern Tag Team Champions Ricky Gibson and Tim Horner, he says he has the team of the future and they want the titles and their going to take them. === Advert === Next up new Television Champion Charlie Cook takes on Nightmare Ken Wayne. This contest has a ten minute limit for the title changing hands and 15 minutes for the match. This is a very even match and the end comes when Ken Wayne misses as running smash in the corner but Cook moves and runs the ropes and hits a Football Tackle followed by the pin at 7 minutes to retain the title. === Run down of this weeks action in Dothan, Pensacola, Birmingham and Mobile === After the break we have the Studd Stable who have joined Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart. Jimmy Golden has a bag in his hand which he puts on the table and the Stable are talk about last Monday’s victory over Tommy and Johnny Rich and Larry Hamilton. Intrigued by what’s in the bag, Charlie Platt asks Golden what’s is the bag, Golden says he glad someone asked. He pulls a pair of wrestling boots out of the bag, Ron Fuller explains that when a wrestler retires or in this case is forced to retire, these boots are the boots of a former wrestler by the name of Larry Hamilton, and after his partner hung him out to dry, he has had to retire, Robert jumps in and says or maybe it was the Spike Piledriver he received as they all snigger, “no, no my brother Robert it was because Tommy and Johnny couldn’t handle us.” Jimmy goes on to say that this Monday its Johnny time to retire as he wants him one on one to finally put him away, Robert says if Jimmy gets Johnny, he wants the chance to retire Tommy, and if he retires Tommy, then they want to go after the Southeastern Tag Team Titles held by Ricky Gibson and Tim Horner. Jimmy Golden makes his way to the ring where he defeats Art Crews in 6 minutes following a Piledriver. === Advert === The Flame and his two new partners join Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart for an introduction. The Flame says he would like to introduce his back up, with Dutch Mantell gone for the next 90 days, he needed to call in reinforcements to watch his back. He would like to introduce Fire and Torch and on Monday night they will prove they aren’t just here to back me up but to make a statement. Fire makes his way to the ring and makes light work of Mike Jackson and finishes him off in 4 minutes following a Samoan Drop. === Run down of this week’s action in Dothan, Pensacola, Birmingham and Mobile === We are now joined by the cousin duo of “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and Johnny Rich, “Wildfire” tells Charlie Platt that its time that this issue with The Studd Stable comes to a head, after this Monday he vows to end this rivalry. Johnny says that he sends his well wishes to Larry who is laid up in hospital, and that Larry thanks all the fans get well wishes and he promises to make it back, and this Monday along with his cousin Tommy will punish the Studd Stable for that they have done. Johnny makes his way to the ring where he defeats Tony Falk in 4 minutes with a Flying Cross Body. === Advert === Today’s main event sees Brad and Scott Armstrong defeating The Moondog and Ted Allen in 7 minutes with “Bullet” Bob Armstrong in their corner, although the first time on TV teaming together, The Armstrong boys certainly look like they had been teaming for years. The victory came when Scott Armstrong hits a Superkick on Ted Allen followed by the pin. === Show Ends === Quick Results 1. Bobby Eaton & Tom Pritchard with Jim Cornette defeats Gene Ligon & Josh Stroud in 6 minutes. 2. TV Champion Charlie Cook defeats Nightmare Ken Waynin 7 minutes. 3. Jimmy Golden defeat Art Crews in 6 minutes. 4. Fire defeats Mike Jackson in 4 minutes. 5. Johnny Rich defeats Tony Falk in 4 minutes with a Flying Cross Body. 6. Brad and Scott Armstrong defeats The Moondog and Ted Allen in 7 minutes following a superkick from Scott to Ted Allen.

There are a couple of promotions running shows with massive rosters but only running a few matches on their cards, those guys not being used or planned to be used should be released. I completely agree. I have my jobbers on my end, and while I have them, it is almost like stockpiling for when I am able to expand and then use them. Don Kent isn't a huge star, but could be utilized as a gatekepper. Everyone on my roster gets used weekly near enough, there will be some that dont get used for weeks on weeks.

Yeah lets just give them out. Then me and Low Blow can PM our debate to one another about growth...
-
Yeah i think it would be good if Southeastern grew across to Georgia, or invade the other way . I think rosters should grow, but i think we should stick with the takeover process as it still releases 30 odd wrestlers for people to draft and ultimately grow like you would like? But only if someone doesnt want the roster.

Or someone picks up the towns? Example, Georgia goes to a draft, we split Georgia between Alabama and Mid Atlantic? Another option for sure. Kind of what Montreal and Toronto did with the Maritimes. Yeah, I mean if a promotion had of closed in 1983, someone would pick up the towns and the TV. But we are saying that if a company knowingly wants to, it cannot "sell" its promotion to another? If Parv were to bow out and WWF were to become mine, I would run two separate promotions. That isn't difficult for me as you have seen over the past month. Both products are working without hesitation while some are struggling to get going. Nothing against anyone, but I have shown that I can do this without any issues when it comes to booking and telling the stories. In regards to plans of how to run both promotions, I would be more than happy to lay out what that would look like and how it would be not only fun and effective for me, but also for the group as a whole as a way to evolve this project. And in regards to the allegations of how I have run the WWF, like Parv stated, it would be customary for a new booker to bring in talent. When it comes to the talent, Tommy Rogers was booked way back in July and when I got him in a trade I honored that deal and made the best of it with Bobby Fulton his partner. Ted Dibiase was on the books back in July and I honored that deal, same goes for Junkyard Dog. Tiger Chung Lee went on because Mid South has Tuesdays off and since he was a partner with Fuji, it would be only fitting they'd do the same. I did bring in Wrestling II and the Samoans for one shot simply due to getting comfortable with the booking, for that I guess I have to apologize. The WWF is currently very reliant on outside workers like Savage and Dory and Bockwinkel, so in reality, nothing major has changed with the way it was booked. In regards to new guys, I am all for them picking up and taking dead promotions, but I just want to urge that we look into possibly developmental territories under a current owners guise in order to help develop new writers rather than throw them to the fire. That's something I'd like to do with my proposal earlier in the post and 2 promotions. My last point would be growth. I know it is a territory system that we have and while that is great, I don't see why we have to hinder overall growth for those of us that want it. We keep talking about reality and such, well the WWF took over promotions in 1984, they became bigger. Crockett did the same thing. Watts did the same thing. I said I don't want to take over the world, I just want to size up one level and run a bigger promotion than I currently am. I think my work has proven I can do that, I just want to make sure it is a possibility with what we have in place. I wouldnt say it wouldnt work, i think you do a great job at running both. But surely people should only run one promotion and you should have to choose. If no one wants it we should follow the same rules we have done before on two occassions? I dont personally have an issue with Mid South guys going up to WWF and vice versa, i just dont think it would of happen on a regular basis. Its just an opinion. I made the comment based on the shows that you posted and thought it was very Mid South heavy especially as WWF have so many wrestlers to use. I think it would be unlikely so many would split their time. Just my opinion. I like the development idea, but if their is free promotions surely we'd just let them have them? I think you are missing the point here with the growth, i want growth as much as the next person, i want to take over Georgia and run shows there, but not at the expense of new people joining? Or going with the same formula we have used before. People can trade wrestlers to grow there promotions and pick up more towns when promotions go out of business/lose bookers.

Someone close the thread now, please...

Brilliant, so Kevin can decide what territory he wants out of Florida and Georgia...

1. I agree with this point, but the bigger thing for me is the courtesy bit around just dropping and saying, 2 weeks behind, I'm still in. But I totally agree, set an expectation. 2. Again agree. 3. I like this idea, just one point from this though, is that WEF has now become Mid South heavy for the month and seems odd that would happen, but it's fantasy after all. I think if someone takes over then they shouldn't be able to flood the other promotion with there talent. But I suppose it's down to the bookers. 4. I think this just needs to go with the following, if someone wants it, if not, absorbed by the promotion it should be, they select up to ten and release the same number, if not disperse draft. It show be that simple. Ultimately the two new writers have been very quiet in talking about what promotion they want to take if any.

You got more personality out of Bill Ash than I ever could. But Welch needs to be careful, Golden and Fuller run together. Great to finally see the Fabulous get the titles after weeks and weeks of trying.
-
Do we have a resolution?
-
Hopefully the new booker follows the trend...
-
You draft after the ten picks from the absorb and then release what you pick up. That's what we did before... If I get Georgia, I want 4 or 5 guys from there and there TV and towns.
-
I could move to Florida, who would then absorb Southeastern and then Georgia if no one picks them up, I'll be the king of the south lol...
-
So at this point, I could take over Georgia, merge it with Mid South, create my ideal roster, and be run as GCW? I think if you move promotions you couldn't take from the former? You move of your own back, because you want a change not to make a mega roster?

We know nothing less down here...
