  1. I never understood why they just didn't have Bret drop the strap to Michaels the night before at the house show in Detroit and then the next night in Montreal had Bret go over on DQ or Count Out. They could have taped the finish in Detroit and then run the video on pregame show and at the start of the PPV saying that Michaels won the title the night before and Bret was getting his Championship rematch.
  2. How come Dave doesn't have a personal Twitter handle? I have to think one of the main reasons he doesn't is because he doesn't want to expose any of the boys tweeting him in public which could bring them heat from the office and possibly ruin a good source for the Observer . That said Dave has never really been on the forefront of technology it seems and maybe I'm totally bit off-base on my theory why he doesn't do Twitter. And if Dave doesn't re-sign with Yahoo where does he land? I'd have to think that some sports media outfit would pick him up pretty quickly. Dave was traveling a lot to cover UFC the last few years but it seems maybe the last 4 to 6 months he hasn't traveled as much. If he loses the Yahoo gig maybe he will have to turn to Twitter to try and bring in new fans if the Observer site is going to be his main source of income going forward.
  3. You can't go wrong reading John Hitchcock's thoughts from the Front Row Section D at the Greensboro Coliseum in the 80s! http://www.tvparty.com/80swrestling/index.html Growing up in Detroit in the 80s we had the Coach Kurt Wrestling Hotline that was 50 cents a call where he would dish all of the inside wrestling scoops. By the early 90s creepy ML Curly had his hotline for the Detroit News that he would update once to twice a day which was by far the most popular hotline the Detroit News had. By the late 90s there were a ton of wrestling hotlines in Detroit as everyone figured out there was a voicemail system that had the telephone exchange 438 which allowed people to record up to 10 minutes of audio on 4 different mailboxes. Did any of you live in other areas that had so many different options for pay/free wrestling hotlines back in the day?
