  1. Great idea for a series!
  2. I'd love to see a pod that focuses on a month of the pro wrestling magazines from the past in the style of BtS. Call the pod From the Pages of the Wrestling Magazines.
  3. Put me down as wanting to see all the shows listed chronologically too! I wish there was the ability to go to a month and year and watch all of the shows in order by air date. I really thought the search feature over time would've been tweaked and made better but it hasn't changed since the Network rolled out as a PS3 user.
  4. My first memory of graps was Spring of 1985 after the first Mania. My buddy had the first series of WWF trading cards and that piqued my interest. That weekend I found out what channel WWF was on and I became hooked. I was 8 years old at the time.
  5. Hopefully KC O'Conner's name shows up again on BtS so he can get the dun dun dun treatment!
  6. From 1985 to 1987 I was watching the following promotions pretty regularly from Detroit where I grew up: WWF, NWA, AWA, World Class, UWF, GLOW, IWA from Montreal, California Championship Wrestling, & Dick the Bruiser's WWA. I was always jealous of places like Atlanta that had that crazy long block of TV on Saturdays.
  7. Chuck Berry has also been linked to that Urban Legend too.
  8. That segment has to make the Best of BtS that Bix wants to put together either this past year or this current year.
  9. I was at JLA that night! What a whacky night of graps........

    NXT Kids

I wonder if creative gave the kids new names! Does Vince yell in their ears during the commentary? Really cool idea and execution by the WWE. Now if they would just do something with the tape library.
  11. Another one that hurts! Roddy was always one of my favorites growing up. I hope this is a wake up call to Vince and the WWE to really get it in gear in terms of shooting interviews and footage of the Legends still living today. The WWE should really have a division in the company that just produces footage of the Legends for future programming. Could you imagine the stuff they could produce if they put 1/2 the funding for WWE Films into producing Legends content that wrestling fans would actually watch?
  12. @CFTV The people that regularly post here that I follow on Twitter make watching graps live so much more entertaining. Thanks dudes!!!!!
  13. I regret not begging my mom and dad that I wanted to go to Mania 3 at the Silverdome. My mom was a secretary for Little Caesars and she got us tix to the SNME at Joe Louis Arena that setup Mania 3. I kept figuring my dad was going to surpise us w/tix on the day of Mania. I was so bummed as a 10 year old who grew up 40 minutes away from the Dome.
  14. I wonder if the WWE will shoot some video w/Dave for the Network since they will be out in his area for a week. I remember him saying if they asked he wouldn't be opposed to do some talking head segments if he could work it into his schedule on his podcast within the last couple of months.
  15. I still can't believe that the Network on PS3 still hasn't fixed the search feature,. It sucks that only 10 video choices come up. Where is the more or next option for the next 10 videos. Has anyone heard if they're going to fix this?
  16. My feed did what jdw described where it would repeat something that I watched a couple of times. It was annoying but really didn't take away from my enjoyment. I was live tweeting the show through TweetDeck and the PS3 stream was maybe a minute and a half behind TweetDeck. I wish there wasn't the lag difference between the two and hopefully it is something that will be continued to worked on tweaked. All in all I was very happy with the Network. It wasn't perfect but I was expecting much worse given after the live NXT broadcast a few weeks ago.
  17. The search feature on the PS3 isn't as robust as the web based search. I tried to search David Flair on the PS3 and nothing came up and when I went online there was 3 PPVs from 2000 that are listed. I love the Network when I flip it on but at the same time I don't watch it nearly as much as I'd like to because there is so much going on in sports on TV. I'm a sports junkie and I know my nights are going to be crammed till June starting in a couple of weeks when the NHL and NBA Playoffs begin. Once we get to June there is a World Cup. It still pisses me off there is no wrestling from TBS at 6:05p on Saturday Nights. It was the ultimate slam dunk idea to run that as a series from the beginning of the Network. Start with the oldest one in the vault and air them all in order just releasing one episode a week. They'd get 15 years of content out of that idea at least.
  18. LL has been calling himself Uncle L since at least 89. Jingling Baby was released on the Walking With The Panther album has a line where he says Uncle L, future of the funk. Great stuff from Mookie and John looking at the next WWE TV deal!
  19. I'm pretty open about my love of pro graps. That said I don't fill my FB timeline w/wrestlng like I do w/sports & jamband music since my interest in wrestling is a lot less than the aformentioned other two interests. I have a lot less wrestling friends than I have friends that are fans of teams from Detroit/Michigan or the Grateful Dead/Phish/SCI so it doesn't make a ton of sense to post a great match or angle like it does a song from a concert from the night before. I work w/mostly middle aged women and they know that I have eccentric interests like using all of my vacation time to chase Trey Anastasio and Bobby Weir around the country and they don't care since I bust my ass while I'm there but wrestling rarely ever comes up and if it does they would just say that is Kull being Kull.
  20. I had no issue with signing up immedietly around 5:30p Eastern last night. That said I couldn't hardly any of the VOD content. I really wanted to go back to Halloween Havoc 95 which I attended but couldn't get it to load which is legendary for its WrestleCrappieness. I loved the Goldust feature that they used in between shows along with the Wrestling's Worst Moment which was a 2 minute clip of the Shockmaster. I'm now watching a Roundtable discussion and they're talking Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen. If the VOD works which I have faith in the WWE and MLBAM to get it together the Network should be a hit!
  21. I didn't make Mania 3 but I was at the SNME at the Joe that set Mania up that saw Andre headbutt Hogan out of a battle royal. I didn't attend the Garvin title change but I was at the Halloween Havoc in 95 when the Giant was tossed off the Cobo Roof, Flair turned on Sting, and the Giant came back and along with the Yeti humped the life out of Hulk Hogan in one of the most homoerotic moments in the history of pro wrestling. Sabu and 2 Cold Scorpio had a pretty sweet match on a June of 97 RAW that didn't feature either Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels because of whatever crap was going on between them at the time. There has been all kinds of great moments that have come through Detroit Hogan dropping the strap to Taker which I was at Survivor Series. The Hogan/Flair retirement match at I believe Havoc 94. A SummerSlam at the Palace in 93. Stone Cold driving the Zamboni to the ring at JLA. Mania 3 and the Mania from Ford Field which had the battle of the billionaires that saw Vince get his head shaved. I saw a killer Sabu/Cactus Jack match in Inkster in October of 94 that Meanie was on as Brian Rollins in a prelim at my first Indy match and Sabu match after hearing so much about him. Going to an Insane Championship Wrestling show and seeing a brawl out into the parking lot between Ric Matrix and Tex Monroe that saw them set a car on fire and a fire truck needed to be called to the scene. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of other Motor City goodness. Detroit has a pretty sweet wrestling culture and I look forward to hearing it discussed on your show!
  22. Can't wait for the Detroit one! Who is coming on to talk Motor City graps? I'm loving the Philly show that I'm more than two hours into. I love all the audio the people on this board is producing!
  23. Jimmy doesn't need a co-host. Both MSL and Alice take away from the Jim Cornette experience. What is Alice history? I heard her on another MLW podcast within the last 6 months or so.
