Again! Where is security when it comes to NWO? They are doing their best to hold back Flair. They seem to be completely profiling Flair at this point and ignoring everything NWO does. Dude should sue. Looked like a clean pinfall by DDP to me. What the heck was Randy Anderson looking at? Bunch a fake Stings arrive and then get beat up losing their wigs. But that was a cool way the real Sting showed up. Bagwell wasn't so smug after that.

Piper actually makes an explanation of how Larry was set up as referee previous week for Hall/Luger match and Steiners title win decision stands. I'll accept that. Piper is ready to fight Bischoff/Savage and you see the fans look to the entrance way for the eventual NWO appearance. Piper is such an idiot as he falls for the fake Sting which is Hogan.

He made sure to note that Slim Jim is sponsoring Halloween Havoc.

Hall and Nash finally defending the tag titles. Well, Syxx is filling in for Kevin. Nobody seems to question Larry’s authority to come down and count the three for the Steiners winning the belts. Crowd loved it as WCW cuts some corners for their own advantage. Might as well fight back like that.

They should have used subtitles instead of dubbing in English. You want to hear the wrestlers even if you may not understand the language.

I’m going to be paying close attention to WWF shows to see signs for Assault on Devil’s Island in the crowd. Hogan again talks about being the Icon of professional wrestling. Savage with neck brace didn’t say anything.

Referee misses a tag in by Animal who ends up getting smashed into the ring steps. Referees try to escort Animal out but he’s not having it and runs back into the ring. You don't want to have to retire. Phineus Godwinn was out of position trying to do piledriver and had to move around to set up the clothesline finish. LOD win the tag titles again. Cletus gets messed up by Godwinns after.

Cornette goes after Phil Muschnick and reads off some of Phil’s comments about wrestling fans. I see this as Cornette defending wrestling and taking Pillman’s death personally. But oh yeah, all the wrestlers young deaths that would happen makes it tough to argue.

Vince and Austin signed the contract for Steve’s return at Survivor Series against match for IC Title with Owen. Vince might be pushing his luck by putting Austin on the spot for why he got involved in Hart/Faarooq match. Rock accepts Austin’s challenge but gets stunned immediately. Such a low key sell for the Stunner by the Rock compared to what he does later on. I miss Blassie. Laser tag thing was cute with Sagrada’s line.

Funk to face Michaels but Kane comes out first. Funk decides for no reason to attack Kane and gets destroyed for it. I heard the bell ring like it was an official match but Kane doesn’t try to pin Funk after Tombstone. Michaels sneaks in for the pin after. Triple H does a solid impression of Hebner’s awful pin counts. Shawn plays this up as a huge hard fought match and his antics continue to annoy.

Gang Rulz for Survivor Series. Dirty White Boy with LOD! I think this has been Anthony’s first appearance in 97.

Lawler kissing up to Michaels/Triple H and then getting rejected was funny. Shawn spends the brawl trying to get the best view possible of Bret getting beat up. Even though it is the Harts versus NOD, Shawn manages to make himself the focus.

Don’t like Michaels referring to the WWF Title as a “stupid piece of tin”. The fans are cheering for Bret by default as Shawn has become so vile. DX is given their name.

Brief hype video of clips from LOD. They will retire if they don’t win the tag titles on Raw tonight. Don’t remember this. They must have been chasing the belts all summer to build to this stipulation but it sure didn’t resonate with me.

Having your thigh wrapped up due to injury might be the worst part of body going up against Kawada. Ace has a Flair type haircut. Thought good portion of match was on the dull side. Ace’s cobra clutch suplex doesn’t look right on a guy like Taue.

Get the MMA out! Takada looks scared to death out there. That was methodical by Gracie. Bye Takada! I’m not a MMA fan but did actually follow the early Pride stuff.

Sunny’s music is playing and there she in the ring! She continues her streak of not doing much as she just does the introductions. Japanese crowds have been tough this year. MPro wasn't using the comedy much later in the year which is something I do miss about them. A bigger crowd response would have helped me as was long match. WWF Light Heavyweight division ranks were so small for Taka though.

Ha, Delphin was puffing out his chest and walking around like he was 300 lbs. Funaki looks silly. Yakushiji seemed a bit off on some of his high risk moves. Togo was kicking out of everything at the end.

Why isn’t the security more involved like that for NWO interferences? They try to tackle Flair in the aisle way when he chases after Hennig. Flair takes the mic from Okerlund which is an immediate good start. Nice to see Flair finally get the better of the NWO.

Loved all those old photos and wanted more clips from their feature films. Good segment.

Tenay finally gets off his ass and does some research about a recent newcomer in WCW.

Just a screen graphic wishing condolences. At least they acknowledged it but would have been nice to see a video of his WCW career.

Michaels does his obnoxious crotch chopping to the fans as he walks down the ramp to the ring. He takes things a bit further by picking his nose with the Canadian flag. I just don’t see how you can have the top two heels feuding with each other right now. Good point on the Ross “too predictable” comment on Bret. Hart is being so undermined.

His WWF career was so short so the video doesn’t do him the justice due to the lack of content from WCW.
