But it's not necessarily a case of "I'm controlling the freelancers this month, which means they'll exclusively feature in my territory". Providing they're not in Japan, you would be in charge of their bookings for that month, which could see them working for any territory. Like I said, there's probably more chance of booking them when someone else has control, than when you do. If someone keeps them to themselves for the whole month, it'll piss off the other promoters and they won't want to do business with them going forward. For me, it's another wrinkle that'll make this thing even more intriguing.

It does stretch credibility slightly that all of the freelancers would work the same territory then switch to the same one every month. I would be careful with going this route too much. It should probably control of the bookings and provide them with a territory to work if there are no claims for certain dates. What does everyone else think? There's a good chance the freelancers won't even work for the controller's territory that month. I also like this method.

You also need to pick your save guy.
-
What if we did this for Round 1, snaked back, then returned to the random/snake method proposed by Kris for the remainder of the draft?
-
Let's go with this method. Upon first glance it looks like a fair spread.
-
Pretty much how I feel. Having a great roster on paper means nothing if the booking isn't there. There's no particular wrestler I'm desperate to have. I have my booking ideas and there's plenty of workers who can slot in to fill each role. Also, I'm open to any drafting method.

Florida will be keeping Dusty Rhodes.

Let's be fair and draft. This is using the original method. It works except for Dkookypunk not making his picks.

An alternative would be just to go in order and pick one at a time, seeing as it's causing so much of an issue. Or abandon the keeping one guy rule, seeing as that's likely why people are being fussy over their territories. Edit - or get in touch with Dkookypunk and find out if he's serious about doing it, because if he's not, the issue is resolved, right?
-
WWA weren't in my picks. Florida was and is still available.
-
Just edited my botched post above. Asks whether you're still interested in Florida.
-
How happy are you to book another territory? What if I give Goc the Florida territory, which was on his list, I take Mid South, which was on mine, and you take Montreal. Completely dependant on whether you're happy to do this, and if Goc is willing to come back for Florida.
-
Other than my username being incorrect, haha, I think we're ready to move on to the next stage of picking our save guy and determining draft order. The TEW mod promotion rankings could be a useful outline if we're going with that method.
-
I like this one best. This one is dependent on whether the real life prominence of each territory is going to be maintained or if we're aiming for parity.

Well this is shaping up very nicely. I was talking to someone who used to run something vey similar to this yesterday. He talked about how he had an eight person league and three of them quit within a couple of days, which crippled the entire thing. Having 18 or so participants will ensure that a few drop outs along the way won't have much of a damaging effect. It's very robust, in that respect. How will draft order be determined?
-
On second thought, if it comes down to my third pick, I'd rather have Florida over Portland.

Based on Wade's free show, the Torch is much worse. Last time I listened, Keller spent the first half of the show bragging about his recent upgrade in audio quality, and the second half dealing with issues arising from said upgrade. It was quite the show. And he loves to make a mountain out of a molehill. If his co-host has even the slightest hitch when it comes to audio, he forces them to hang up and call back in, wasting everyone's time to try and fix something that isn't even an issue. The irony is, his quality is usually worse than theirs to begin with. Granted, I've never been a subscriber to the Torch, only listened to the free stuff. I would take Keller over Alvarez, but would much rather listen to Meltzer over both of them. If that means having to stomach Alvarez, then so be it.

Owens vs Rusev: Who should have they gone with?

And there's no rule which says every single feud has to be pro/anti US centric. -
Owens vs Rusev: Who should have they gone with?

Rusev could have been a made heel for years to come had they handled the Cena feud correctly. He was easily the most consistent TV performer in 2014 and delivered every time on PPV against an eclectic mix of opponents. There are elements of his gimmick that could be deemed campy, but that was counterbalanced by his aura of being a killer and just a tremendous overall package (Lana, the medal, the US title, great music, waving the flag to the ring and the flag above the ring). Just look at his feud with Swagger. There's a guy who had been with the company 6-7 years, been booked in main event feuds, held world titles etc. and yet never had a lick of relevance until he worked with Rusev. Aside from periods of the Cena feud, there was also no danger of Rusev ever getting face pops. Owens, on the other hand, is already getting split reactions from the multiple crowd demographics. I'd give Rusev the edge on every variable point of comparison. It's not even close. -
I think injuries we handle how we outline and maybe make a very improbably dice roll for there to be a death. Like roll 3 dice and if it comes up 666 then that person dies?I was mainly talking about real life stuff like Magnum's accident or any wrestler who may have died during this period going forward. Do they still happen when we reach those dates?
-
Looks like a good basis to start from. One question I do have. How are future events away from the ring going to be handled? I'm talking deaths, career ending injuries etc.

Reddit is full of fans who clamour for the return of the Attitude Era and is generally one of the worst places I've seen for wrestling discussion. I'll end up on there infrequently because it's usually quick for breaking news. But when I do, I instantly regret it. There always seems to be a thread praising Seth Rollins for being an amazing wrestler and heel performer, which is laughable. And, there still seems to be the notion over there that Cena isn't a good worker. They also seem to hold the consensus opinion that Triple H is an all timer. I would take what they say with a grain of salt, whether that be Cena related, or anything else.
