  1. I actually think Bruce Mitchell is great, if you can get past the "everything was better in Crockett" stuff. He did a podcast with Keller this week that dissected every issue with WWE and TNA programming like a serial killer.
  2. How about the theory, just as in the US, that less people care about wrestling these days and it's a dwindling audience every year?
  3. I liked the show, the issue with Flipps really took away some of the enjoyment. Overall, 3 3/4 stars to me. Ross seemed lost occasionally (went minutes without mentioning a wrestler's name during the action, as in he couldn't tell them apart) and Striker's voice is fingernail on chalkboard annoying to me.
  4. I took a bunch of Southwest and World Class VHS tapes to get converted to DVD years ago. Not for Bob Sweetan...but to see Gino again. Great team, ridiculously hot feud with the Von Erichs (shaved heads, cars destroyed, superkicks galore). One of my all-time favorites. They won't get the nod because of brevity as mentioned, but would be in my top 10.
  5. Seems like nonsense to me. Been a subscriber since the 90s and as long as Dave continues to be miserable/informative and limits my exposure to Bryan, I don't care if he wears the Bunny outfit for a night.
  6. I thought of three immediately...Erik Watts, Brutus Beefcake, El Gigante. After some thought and some recent ECW viewing, 911 is horrendous and his other personas even more awful.
  7. Or the word "scenario" is sort of vague. If it said "people with no booking experience tell you how they'd book wwe in an excruciating, wordy manner", I wouldn't have clicked.
  8. Isn't there a whole area on this site where people can contribute their horrible, boring booking ideas?
  9. 93 WCW had some ridiculously good matches and some horrible angles/stars (Shockmaster, Maxx Payne, White Castle of Fear, Davey Boy Smith looking like Violet Beauregarde). I will have to read through those to see how suicidal Dave can make me.
  10. What's the excuse for all of the other wyatt matches outside of the bryan cage match? No matter how you spin it (and I tend to agree with you that people were worn out from the gimmick matches), he's nowhere near a main eventer no matter what character they give him.
  11. I guess the "pop" is what is hard to decipher. Wyatt gets it when his music comes on, but even his Mania match with Cena and TLC match with Ambrose were sit on your hand moments during the in-ring. His promos and silly magic stuff aren't exactly inspiring either. Is it the cool entrance or him that is getting anyone excited?
  12. This was an interesting read...I have my own theories that may not be so popular. To sum up, the new generation of pseudo smarks have no idea what a main eventer is supposed to do...do numbers, connect with fans, be attractive to mainstream. Most of the guys (that someone in the hive told them were good in '06 ROH) they get behind aren't capable of being main eventers. They either stink on the mic (Cesaro), get zero reaction during matches (Wyatt), or both, and the babies claim it's Vince holding their guy back. Perhaps it's their flaws...the real main eventers found a way, be it their charisma, becoming part of the mainstream (Hogan in Rocky 3) to get there even without the proverbial rocket back strapping. Vince is out of touch and having his daughter and failed TV writers head up creative is horrible, but there is no way to please some of these fans.
  13. Sasha is still horrid on the mic...and best female worker in the world??? We must have very different opinions on what a good worker is. Charlotte needs some seasoning, but could be the centerpiece of a women's wrestling revival. If they don't job her out all over North Carolina of course.
  14. Or to fantasy booking...
  15. I've actually read that Steph is the driving force behind their "entertainment" ventures like the Scooby Doo tie in. Would make sense considering she filled her creative team with failed sitcom dudes.
