  1. That was......something.
  2. Good logic.
  3. This got boring again.....she should have hit HHH with a throw and get on with it.
  4. They just announced a partnership with Tapout, so they actually might have blocked that out intentionally. But it looks like they're just black logos on the black shirt. I think you're right. Thought they looked blacked out at first.
  5. Oh....this just got interesting. Rousey and Steph?
  6. This is long.....and boring.....
  7. Random question....did Rock make his own shirt on an Underarmour shirt, that they tried to black the logo out on?
  8. I feel the Rock is overplayed, period.
  9. Rock-HHH next year.......at least they'll build it for a while.
  10. Rusev has been undefeated and built up for a year. He lost because he ran into his manager and got hit with a move that seems like it always takes more than one of to finish big matches. Underwhelming on that aspect. And why waste Rusev's first loss on Cena, who needs it like someone who really doesn't need something.
  11. I liked their last match more. Bad ending, and I assume they are going to turn Lana face now.
  12. Reigns can't be the new ace if Cena still is. Not saying that's my point of view, but this company has applied worse logic before.
  13. The way it's been booked, Cena kind of has to win. That being said, booking it that way (or maybe at all) is the problem as they could very well run with Rusev being undefeated possibly all the way up to him challenging for the World title next year. They need to build a younger generation, and Rusev is a good guy to build around.
  14. Just turned on to see Rusev's entrance. That Cena video has me cheering whole heartedly for Rusev. I'll be sad when he loses.
  15. I don't really care how you spend your money, but illogical reasoning hurts my head. Basically, you're saying "I know I can get this for $10, but I'm going to spend $70 to not get all that extra stuff that people have told me isn't super cool but I don't know for certain myself." If for no other reason than $10 vs $70, a one month membership makes sense......actually, seven months makes sense since you'd get summerslam in that too. but whatever floats your boat dude. Hope you enjoy the show.
  16. Still throwing away $60. And at the risk of going entirely off topic, what about the Network is Mickey Mouse that WM isn't?
  17. Unless you don't have interweb access, you apparently do have a use for the Network: saving $60.
  18. Sometimes. Depends on the story, the stage and the careers of the wrestlers. Too many variables to really give a great answer, but if Rusev wins tonight, that's big. If Orton gets pinned tonight, doesn't hurt him.
  19. Hoping to make it back home in time to watch the main event and maybe the match before. If anything sounds good might check that out after too.
  20. Tag match - Cesaro and Kidd should retain. They could actually have a good title run in them potentially. Battle Royal - you can advance the Miz/Mizdow story without either winning, which I think they'll do. Since this was moved to the preshow, Sheamus will not be showing up. I assume Ryback gets the win. Divas tag - one of AJ or Paige pinning Nikki while pissing their partner off, setting up a three way. Ladder match - Bryan should win, and get destroyed by Sheamus showing up tomorrow night. Also, someone is getting injured in this and will miss some time. Cena v Rusev - if the rumour that they want to put more emphasis on the secondary titles, Cena winning could make sense. Then again, Rusev going all the way to Mania 32 undefeated could be good too. I assume Cena wins, but this is the biggest unknown on the card for me. Rollins v orton - shame they messed up such a simple grudge over te last few weeks, but this could still steal the show. I think Rollins goes over. Taker v Wyatt - this could be ugly. I like the idea that Wyatt wins and sends Taker to Mania 32 on a losing streak leading into his retirement match, but I can't see them doing that. So, they'll continue to not use Wyatt right at all, and keep thinking he gets enough just being in the ring with guys like Taker. Sting v HHH - sting is 55, hadn't had a great match in 20 years, and was always a guy who great wrestlers could have great matches with rather than someone who always had great matches. He appears to have gotten himself in great shape though, so that's good. That being said, I don't have high expectations. HHH is someone who I've appreciated but never loved I the ring, and I just don't see these two putting on anything great. I'll guess ref bump, sledge hammer attempt, successful baseball bat swing, and a victory for Sting. All that being said, I suspect the entrances to be awesome. Reigns v Lesnar - if you put a gun to my head, I say Lesnar wins. It seems like someone since the Rumble got the point that Reigns can't be what they want him to be, even if only because the crowd doesn't want to fully buy what he's selling yet. He's going to be te man at some point soon, but I think they see that as he's currently presented, he can't be. And I can't see them signing lesnar for three years just to have him lose here after getting all that publicity this week (and Reigns has gotten ZERO buzz all week from what I've seen). I don't think Heyman turns, and I think Brock just keeps acting like brock and becomes the biggest face going. Possible alternate plan - reigns wins with Rock's help, and becomes the secondary story to Rock/Brock being set up for next year. Either way, reigns is not going to come out of Mania as the man.
  21. Slightly off topic, but I found a thatcher match I liked. This graves guy looks like a decent blue belt or something, and takes advantage of the openings Thatcher leaves. I've never heard of him before, but dumb nickname aside, pretty good.
  22. Limited is usually a euphemism for 'does some stuff ok, but not much'. Minimalist generally means 'could probably do other stuff great, but keeps it simple' or 'knows what he does well, and sticks to it". Someone like Davey Richards is limited in that all he really has going for him is athleticism. Not much charisma, not a lot in terms of the mental sides of wrestling. Someone like Goldust is a minimalist. He doesn't have a lot of movez in every match, but makes what he does mean something.
  23. When I watch him, for example, work a Kimura. In order to work that move in a way that makes it worthwhile for pro wrestling, you can't put it on for real. Because no one doesn't tap to a properly applied Kimura. So, in order to not actually hurt the guy, he puts the arm in the wrong position. Takes me out of a match more than light striking does. His version of grappling looks like what someone who never watched an mma fight thinks grappling looks like. And that's not really a knock on him, it's just that I don't like that style. To each their own. Now, comparing that to Busick/Perkins, they grappled more in a pro wrestling context without having to obviously avoid actually doing the moves since they avoided moves you have to obviously not do properly in order to do them in a wrestling match.
  24. Welp, I'm out. *shows both sides of my hands like a blackjack dealer* I'm sorry. What I meant to say was, "I prefer lucha libre with its topes, planchas and head scissor variations. Lucha libre mat work, while choreographed, is not attempting to resemble legitimate grappling techniques and therefore doesn't ruin my willing suspension of disbelief by looking loose."
  25. Nope, not being a contrarian, I just find attempts at "realistic" grappling in pro wrestling only serves to show how much you have to take off holds so as to not actually hurt people. Lucha looks choreographed to an extent, but I prefer flippitydoos to guys who are supposedly grappling experts giving up their backs completely to lightly stretch a knee.
