  1. Who are they ? Ric's daughter. Neidhart's daughter. Snuka's daughter. Tully's daughter. Who else ? And about sexism, since we're at it, gotta "love" Corny's latest rant about female wrestler (who paid their dues) vs hoes of Total Divas. And by hoes he meant girls who are using pro-wrestler as a way to get into the entertainment business and don't really love pro-wrestling and don't pay their dues by travelling, earning shit and suffering for da buziness… you know the drill. And then, he adds about Charlotte "okay, she didn't do it that way, but she's go the genes". Oh. So that's why A guy like Randy Orton is revered by co-workers despite being a black hole of charisma and work. But back to the women, he talks about Stacy Keibler who "sucked dicks to her way to spousing a millionaire", to which I really can't disagree that much, since Stacy really dind't showcase very much talent at all except having great legs. But that's another matter. Beautiful people, you know how it works. But yeah, those "second generation" girls who "got the genes", it's no big deal they get straight into WWE's contracts. But a girl like Nikki Bella who at one point improved a lot and became a really good heel shouldn't get any respect, if you follow his diatribe. Double standarts anyone ? So yeah, maybe, from the perspective of the people in the business, it plays into this whole new vision of women's wrestling. There's definitely room on this section of the forum to discuss the wrestling business as a cult.

    WWE Payback

Roman is totally being presented as the heel here.

    WWE Payback

Especially when it's so far from accurate. You'd think the guy was Khali or something.

    WWE Payback

So basically, we're getting this same tedious promo every week until Summerslam.

    WWE Payback

It doesn't make sense and they haven't tried to make sense of it. We should be insulted really but nothing they do makes sense.

    Well fuck that finish.

It's equally amazing that people think Ambrose is something special. Agreed. His matches just have no gravity to them. He's just running about like a headless chicken. It's absurd that the stereotypical smark thinks this guy is great but that Roman sucks.

It amazes me that some people still think Jericho is good. That's nostalgia for you I guess. He's a poor man's Miz at this point.

This shit needed to end 10 minutes ago. Jericho should be sent to the glue factory.

Goodness me, the way Miz tried to avoid taking a bump in that Neutraliser.

Phil Schneider summed it up best: Kevin Owens is an ethnic babyface for Internet nerds. This is amazing. Owens as the Reddit users Bruno is a remarkable thought.
  12. WWE t-shirts would improve drastically just from removing the hideous designs they have on the back. Their current shirts for AJ Styles and Samoa Joe look pretty good though. Best shirt I remember having is a Steve Austin one that I got from a department store children's section back when wrestling was popular enough for that to be a thing. Can't find a picture online but it was red and had the big Austin skull graphic on it.
  13. It was a hell of a long-winded burial for such a minor correction. I know it's Dave and he's always long-winded but wow. One would think there was something more there.
  14. I doubt he would have said the same about Shawn Michaels and his 'boyhood dream.' It seems like some guys will get leeway if they're a revered figure. The guy has been through a lot and got a nice little moment. Why wouldn't he talk it up? Does he expect him to not care? Besides, the whole thing was a scripted line to put heat on The Miz for screwing him. It's very bizarre that he was burying Ryder for taking a fake belt seriously while also not appreciating that it was a worked wrestling interview to set up an angle. Very weird and quite nasty I thought.

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

The argument about pushing someone strongly actually cooling them off doesn't hold too much water to me actually. On the surface it seems like that but really, Lesnar was super over last year because he was booked like an unbeatable Demi-God. Rusev went a year unbeaten and ended up being a hot heel working Mania against John Cena. If they had sustained the push he would be main event right now. It's more the perception of being a company guy that hurts people rather than them winning matches and feuds. A book could be written about why Roman Reigns isn't over as a babyface but at least part of it, in my opinion, is the Lex Luger booking of him always choking in the big title match. I mean, The Shield got over by beating everyone. WWE and a section of their audience seem to both be stuck in a rut of trying to outthink each other when many of the simple basics done right can still work.

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

At least with Bryan The Journey was reconned to fit The Moment and by the end, the subtext of him being held down for not being a Vince McMahon-type superstar was brought into cannon as he was feuding with HHH and Stephanie, who were cast as parodies of themselves based on online perceptions. With AJ it's just like, why the hell did he lose to Jericho? The Moment and The Journey are divorced because WWE have spent so long swerving their audience instead of giving them someone to believe in. They are less interested in coherent storytelling than they are in playing up the meta-storyline of trying to figure out how they're gonna book. It's so bizarre.

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

I'm arguing you may not get as strong a reaction (live + twitter) from a styles win if they pushed him stronger, because then you don't get the surprise. What's better, long term investment in a character or a few shocked reactions on Twitter? People who are into Styles would still be happy for him that he's getting a shot at the main event no matter how he was being booked prior to Monday. But making a guy a big deal by giving him big wins is what gets them over with more casual fans, that's clear even today.

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

They couldn't have even done a brawl or something to set up side feuds for Sasha and Becky? Instead they just shuffle off like geeks after getting screwed last night so we can set up a retread of last month's filler feud.

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

Jericho's going to win clean, isn't he?

    Post-Mania 32 Raw

I'm baffled as to why any of this happened. Miz parading his way-out-of-his-league wife is a good heel gimmick I guess.

Have they turned off the crowd mics or is this building dead?

Apparently a beach ball was confiscated during the commercial break to huge heat so I think it may have been "Beach Ball City!"

Whoever wrote Corbin's script needs to be fired out of a cannon or something. Woeful.

Asshole Roman is amazing. No idea what that segment was supposed to achieve though.

Urgh. Jericho needs to fuck off forever.
