My takeaway from this is that this actually shines a light on how much of a folly it was to allow NXT to become HHH's super indy vanity promotion when all of those people could've gone to the main roster and been top stars immediately. Then we wouldn't have had to suffer the likes of Ziggler and Corbin working multiple PPV championship matches to weak crowds and declining ratings. Surely someone backstage has got to be asking the question why the main roster seems so thin while there's dozens of great wrestlers who can't even get a locker in the performance centre because NXT is so crowded. (The conspiracy take here is that HHH has deliberately withheld the best people from NXT in order to make himself the saviour of the main roster when he's seen as the one bringing up all the stars.)

I really don't think they did too much in Page vs Guevara. It seemed like a 2019 version of a Nitro match or something. The only thing is that Page should probably not do that moonsault in every match.

Would've been nice if one of the guys got to do the promo instead of HHH but he's got to get the maximum vanity from his vanity promotion. Still, this was probably just about the best that things could've gone given the disaster they could've been heading for with the flight insanity.

Well if they make three or four of them into fresh hot stars that can appear on Fox then it's no bad thing but then that does pretty much make the draft and roster split an even bigger waste of time than it already seems like it was.

Am I the only one who doesn't get the appeal of Ciampa at all? Doesn't help that he looks like a hot dog that's been left under the heat lamp too long.

He should get the title off Brock at Mania and then work Goldberg at Summerslam. Push him to the fucking moon just because anyone being pushed to the moon would be so refreshing.

He's been stuck in dead end feud after dead end feud since he came back and he's about to embark on another one. They're really doing the guy no favours if they still consider him a top level star.

Seems like they've conned them multiple times on the rosters. The fact they had Ronda was supposedly a big part of the negotiations. Everyone and their dog knew that Brock was always slated to be a big part of the show and now he's switched. Charlotte was all over Fox promotional placements and she's on Raw. Becky got the big rub with The Rock on week one and she's on Raw too. All Fox has is a pretty cold Roman Reigns vs King fucking Corbin. But I don't think it's really a con, because there's no gain for WWE in pissing off Fox. It's just that they're in complete organisational disarray.

They'd literally been better off just burning a billion dollars at this point. No Brock but they got the hokey clown mask geek. What a deal.

They've lucked into a perfect opportunity to push Matt Riddle to the moon and prep him to beat Brock down the line.

It'll be a hotshot to get a curiosity rating tomorrow and then they'll likely have some stip at Survivor Series to get it back to Raw. Hopefully Seth is actually done as a top guy now though.

I don't think video games are much less of a big deal in Ireland than they are in America tbh, although I'm sure that depends on the era. But it's not like the guy grew up as some backwards tenant farmer in some rural nowhere.

WWE has just been so fundamentally broken for so long, especially in its relationship with the fan base, that I have no idea how they can turn it around sustainably.

This is a company that continued to push people like Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels after a litany of backstage incidents and general scumbaggery. I refuse believe that the odd dumb tweet from Lana is a good enough reason not to have capitalised on Rusev's massive popularity a couple of years back.

Rusev seems like a genuinely charming, funny and quirky guy. Watch any of the times he's on Xavier's video game channel. You can totally see why Lana would be into him and also see why he could be a big time star if Vince wasn't such an incompetent, bitter old man. Rusev and Lana could have become a totally beloved act/couple like Savage and Elizabeth were during his babyface runs - just an updated version where Lana would clearly have more agency. I really hope they do get out of there soon and find their way to AEW or New Japan. Of any WWE act I'd like to see move elsewhere, it's probably Rusev and Lana.

Given the rating for this week, it's increasingly difficult to distinguish whether he's just desperate to be a company man or he as a genuine fetish for eating shit online.

Looks like Smackdown absolutely tanked on FS1. Meltzer was talking about 1.7 million being the upper end of what he would predict. It ended up being 888k or something.

I've seen a fair few rumblings, unsubstantiated tbf but believable, that there is increasing unhappiness in NXT amongst the massive roster there that is never used. It may also have to do with salaries having not yet increased as was promised following the move to USA.

Fair play to him, he's going scorched earth on this.

The Rolling Stones logo is all about the tongue. This thing is so bad that if the Stones tried to sue WWE for copying their logo, the case would probably be thrown out.
