At this point, they could go either way with the title match. Jericho is a good champion and I understand why you'd keep running with him for publicity reasons but Cody is, like he said in his promo, undeniable right now. I honestly don't know what they'll do at the PPV but that's what makes it fun.

I'm still excited for the PPV and have enjoyed all the Dynamite shows so far. It's clear though that last week's was more of a misfire than it seemed at the time because enthusiasm is clearly down.

I feel like they've got to hit hard on the Omega vs Moxley match build tonight. There hasn't really been enough on the TV to tell me why they want to kill each other so much.

AJ has been underwhelming for a long time now imo but I don't really think WWE's shit booking of babyfaces is on him. He just happens to be the midcard heel champ who's pretty much an obvious opponent for all of those guys. But maybe none of those guys were meant to be elevated as opposed to being placeholder opponents from him. I feel like AJ isn't that engaged now, or is off the boil as a worker. On paper, AJ vs Ricochet, Cedric and Humberto for midcard titles are matches that are potential show-stealers when in reality he's been churning out three star specials the whole time. Besides, all his feuds have been about titles for like 3 years now. It's old.

I wonder if he's always been like this or if he knows the best way for him to keep his push going in spite of his consistent failure is to become the lapdog. He's gone from being a bit of a geek to someone who seems to have no likeable traits at all.

Tbf, I've been catching up on the Junior Tag League this evening and there's been some awesome stuff. Rocky/Taguchi vs Sho and Yo and Rocky/Taguchi vs Birds of Prey were both great matches and definitely worth catching up on if you have a spare moment.

Mechanical issues seems unrealistic though. Surely the Saudis have more planes in their possession they could throw WWE's way if needed. And the other group who tried to charter a separate flight also weren't able to make it on time. We don't have the full story by any means but there's got to be something more going on here.

Melzer says the figures aren't accurate but he's not really pouring cold water on any of the rest of it. He said that the public story from the company is not the internal story but that it's difficult to corroborate anything. My conspiracy take on that is that Dave doesn't want to drop any of his sources in the shit because it's probably only high level people who know the real details.

There have been so many times where Hiromu seemed like he was returning so I'm not necessarily getting my hopes up but it really seems like the obvious play. We might also see a Jericho run-in to set up the Tanahashi match. Kenta Vs Ishii should be excellent too. But other than that, this is a weak show. I can sort of forgive them for Naito Vs Taichi again because I think Zack would've been in that spot if not for the typhoon. But really, the lesson they need to take from 2019 is that they badly need to get some new people into the top mix to save us from so many repeat matches.
