  1. ECW might just lose their first ever PPV "Barely Legal" scheduled for Christmas Eve 1996. The Mass Transit incident was a professional wrestling event during an Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) house show on June 23, 1996, at the Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, Massachusetts. 17-year-old Erich Kulas, an aspiring professional wrestler who used the ring name "Mass Transit," was seriously injured in a tag-team match against The Gangstas; the most severe injury occurred when Kulas was bladed too deeply by Jerome "New Jack" Young, severing two of his arteries. Further controversy arose when it came to light that Kulas had lied to ECW owner and booker Paul Heyman about his age and professional wrestling training. What this means for the current Pay Per View Event Barely Legal still remains to be seen, but this could explain why ECW Owner has decided to use this upcoming draft as a means to stay away from New Jack and show good faith to the Pay Per View Provider Request TV. Paul Heyman has been said to be "pleading and begging" the provider for the chance not to cancel the PPV. It looks like The Gangstas will be the scapegoats for their being "fired" from the promotion. Paul Heyman wanted to show another chance at goodwill when the PPV provider had asked for The Sandman not to be on the card for Barely Legal before the Mass Transit incident, and now this Mass Transit Incident has happened. Request TV demanded that Sandman not be on the show. Heyman, who has been loyal to The Sandman, promised him that he would allow him to appear but it seems The Sandman was upset this was even a discussion and didn't shut it down. This is what led to ECW pulling their exemption of The Sandman and many others as they all requested their exemptions be removed due to loyalty to The Sandman. Now that Sandman was drafted during the draft by the new rival W*ING promotion based out of L.A. It looks like Heyman might have lucked into getting his first PPV back on television, but the biggest problem is that Sandman is not happy with Heyman, and from multiple sources, The Sandman plans to let Paul E. know just how upset he is. Paul Heyman has said to be on pins and needles, especially since the upstart W*ING promotion has been saying they plan on taking a fight to ECW. Paul Heyman has said to have gotten a significant backer to help in this upcoming battle where ECW feels they are not just competing against W*ING but also ECW and WWF. The backer has not revealed himself, but it's said that Heyman has convinced this backer to give ECW a certain amount of money which explains how ECW was able to sign some significant free agents as Jake Roberts, Brian Pillman, and Roddy Piper to name a few. Piper who said that he still has some matches left in him has said that he won't just return to the ring to do it and that he has to have a story behind it.
  2. Also don't forget this is the round where @jeff5819 can start drafting so after Control's pick it's going to go Jeff instead of back to me.
  3. Yeah, I will post a backstory about ECW and some of the reasons behind the changes. The biggest thing I am going to go ahead and spoil is that I am going to make The Mass Transit incident happen three months earlier, which will explain why New Jack was not exempted from the roster in this story and why The Sandman was let go due to the PPV Provider threatening to pull the plug on the upcoming PPV "Barely Legal" I will say it's taking everything I have not to draft Kevin Nash, but in the ECW environment, they would eat him alive, but he could easily be my top heel. Jackknifing his way to the main title and everything, but I will hold off and let someone else have their shot if he keeps dropping. I don't know if I can stop myself. lol
  4. ECW will select Chris Candido @SirEdgeris up
  5. Oh yeah def send me your short lists and we can move along that way. That’s no worries at all. As for Sandman I’m glad you can use him cause I just don’t like Sandman and had no desire to write with him. Yeah, he was an ECW staple. I just don’t care for him. Same reason I won’t draft Val Venis either. Lol
  6. ECW will select “Rowdy” Roddy Piper as the figurehead of ECW. @SirEdger is back up
  7. 100% Sami will never be more over than he was that night.
  8. Yep 100%
  9. Lmao that was the ending they came up with?
  10. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m going to try and make sure my crowd don’t riot over Rocky Mavia. Lmao Ahhh man Terry Funk can never truly retire. He is the funker. I was looking at the top PWI 500 and some people really shocked me. Im not going to put a time limit on picks just cause I know that Jeff is overseas and I don’t want to anyone to feel left out especially this early. Now later rounds I’ll probably be a little more strict cause at that point with exemptions and everything. Everyone has a solid roster. So it won’t mean as much but these earlier rounds we can be patient and give everyone a chance to make sure everything looks good and come up with plans. Cause I know when drafts go really fast I always overlook something. Lmao
  11. Hahaha I wouldn’t have it any other way. ECW is king of the shoots. So that’s no problem here. It’s the fun of this game.
  12. That talent will be added in two separate additions to the free agency, once on October 7th and the other on December 7th. These will be done right before The Rookie Draft for 1997. So that way, we can get some fresh additions into the game. So yeah, Bam Bam will be there, but what I have learned from doing so many drafts. You got to have back up plans.
  13. Hakushi was the last name I typed out before I erased it and went with Steve Williams. lol ECW will select "The Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman @SirEdger is up! Who will Billionaire Ted bring into WCW.
  14. Dang, I have went so many different ways with this pick. ECW will select Doctor Death Steve Williams @MLB is back up
  15. Okay, everybody, the draft has started, and I will update the rosters as the draft continues.
  16. Round 15 - ECW Selects Jake "The Snake" Roberts Round 16 - ECW Selects Flex Kavana (Rocky Mavia) - Yep, this crowd is rioting, but that's alright. lol Round 17 - ECW Selects Rey Mysterio Jr. @MLB is now up
  17. I was up for rounds 15, 16, and 17. I only exempted 14 people and dropped the rest to the draft pool. I will make my picks here in just a moment. Getting the list updated as I type this. Then when I make my picks @MLB will be up.
  18. Okay sweet that will work. I appreciate you doing that LowBlow!
