If Eugene Schnitzel is that great of a wrestler and emotional resenates with you it shouldn't matter that much. This is the greatest wrestler ever project not the greatest wrestler to wrestle in front of (insert level promotion of promotion) or higher project. One of the coolest thing about this project is hyping up and celebrating Eugene Schnitzel's of the world. I hope someone submits a GWE list with a wrestler I don't know so I can research them, I hope if somebody sees a wrestler they don't know off my list they research them. I proabably not rank Eugene Schnitzel as high of other wrestlers that wrestled for more promotions because he only wrestled in one place/his comfort zone because I factor range alot. Someome like John Cena have the same problem because he only wrestled for WWE.

Interested in going into more of Jumbo Tsuruta's career, he feels like a guy (based on what I have seen) gave consistent effort and spark, it didn't always corelate to great matches and always click with his opponents but, it was fun. I like early Jumbo Tsuruta. The Jack Brisco 1976 is amazing! I think another thing that says about Jumbo's connection to wrestling that even after Hepatitis C and how limited he was, he is still giving out happy and engaged fun, performances that engaged crowd within those limits. A top 25 wrestler maybe, still hoping to watch more though.

I am not considering him but, he is a fun wrestler. His match with Goldberg at WCW Spring Break 1999 is super cool, the One Night Stand 2005 entrance is one of the best entrances ever.

I haven't watched much Dragon Gate to really know. In the limited amount I've seen him, he can be in very good matches does not feel like a great wrestler and doesn't emotionally click with me the times I have watched him. If someone has a case for him, I'm willing to lo watch more is someone can sway me. The Dragon Gate/Toryumon wrestlers making my list proabably Akira Tozawa, Masaaki Mochizuki, Ricochet, and maybe Stalker Ichikawa. In terms of other Dragon system wrestlers he's below Shingo Takagi, Masato Yoshino, and Susumu Yokosuka. He feels like a case on a similar level to BxB Hulk. In terms of contemporaries I would say he's better than Naito but, all the other ones you listed and Yuji Okabayashi connect with me more. I might pick Kento Miyahara or Katsuhiko Nakajima might be over him too. Even though I am low on him, I hope pepole more informed on Dragon Gate submit ballots with him om it because he feels like a important wrestler to them and represention for that promotion feels important for a list like this.

I think Shibata had preety good AEW/ROH considering. He has been a fun TV wrestler and ppv wrestler which can proabably be difficult to adjust too. Has had alot of really great matches. The Orange Cassidy, Rampage match was one of my favorite matches the year it happend and so was the Bryan Danielson match. Daniel Garcia vs. Katsuyori Shibata vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Zack Sabre Jr from Forbidden Door 2023 is proabably my pick for maybe the best 4 way match ever, third favorite AEW ppv match ever, and the best match on the best ppv I have ever seen. The Power Opps vs. Mox, Claudio, and Yuta from AEW Spring Break In rules. The Pure Champion reign was fun. Watching him live twice has been cool too. He's been even great in plunder brawls. I am not overly familiar with his pre-2013 work but, interested in watching it. He's going on my list

I think with stuff list like this with entertainment. It's okay to lean to favorites as long the person voting is critical, open to more than one vision of wrestling (ex: making a list from one or two promotions), and not lean too much into generalities. Its impossible to proabably make a one person complete greatest wrestler list or greatest bands list because it's impossible to watch every wrestler or listen to every band.

I think despite not clicking with me his work not clicking with all the time is worthy of consideration of a top 100 level spot. He is really great at the details and quirksin his match especially compared to alot modern wrestlers. Especially if you count backyard wrestling as part of a case helper Daniel Makabe has that. I think he really fit in with the more well known technical wrestling stars in the world. More Recommend Matches

Fun wrestler and has likable charisma about it, I am not sure if he makes a top 100 list though. Hoping to check out more

Kurt Angle is someone I feel is great and will probably make my list. I think he is consistently fun, I think something that hurts him a lot of is being touted as the best wrestler ever or the why this guy doesn't have five star match poster boy in some circles. I feel like I got convinced that Kurt Angle is the best ever wrestler at time when I watched mostly US television wrestling too. My take on Kurt Angle is he more of consistently fun match match wrestler more than a great match guy. when watching him back specifically from 2000-2002 is how loose his selling is and how enthusiastic he is. The Viscera match is so fun! Overall Kurt Angle as is wrestler is probably a worse Alexander Otsuka but, Alexander Otsuka rules and will make my list probably. Angle will probably be the 80-100 range and Otsuka will probably be ahead of that.

I think even their work on mudshow smaller shows are important. Its not a case breaker but, I think it is really interesting and can help a wrestlers to see what kind of performance they bring when the wrestlers assume that nobody but, the audience will watch the match. I really like watching fan cams of wrestling matches at county fairs for that reason. The wrestler doesnt have to have all time great/body breaking performance at mudshow indies but, I would like them to at least see them make mental effort and be checked in. I dont know if this on purpose but, something that really stands out to me. Is this Buddy Wayne and Buddy Rose clip. I dont know if this show made tape or even what this show is (because there is no cagematch to it), I am even sure if this is a planned thing. Buddy Rose out his prime breaks the ring but, still had the checked in-ness to continue fighting with Buddy Wayne despite the awkward situation, his selling is still really good.

Having adaptability and range (outside of their usual comfort zone) is one of the important. Somopething to remember WWE (or no company) is the world of wrestling. There's people that work whose work works in international companies that doesn't work as well on a smaller scale. I think it great compliment to WALTER as wrestler/presence that basically WXW/Ringkampf Big Daddy Walter worked and did great in so many places just in his ace of show, tv wrestling, WWE house shows, studio wrestling, empty arena wrestling, and stadium main events. Even taking out his WWE work out of it. He has range of being ace/teacher of WXW, being the outside overdog, wrestling shoot style matches, working in PWG, being the star European indies boom (or atleast top three), a very good tag team wrestler, and being well in BJW.
-
A lot of modern WWE matches have this weird, automated, unloose feeling. I think it's really remarkable for me it feels how often WALTER breaks through that for me. Through that even something like having mutiple finishers. I have really enjoyed his his what I have seen from his pre-WWE work, interested in checking out more.

A really good consistency case, he feels the kind of wrestler who tries constuct his matches to uniquely showcase to what will his opponents and tag team partners seem strongb while doing unique stuff himself. His Evan Bourne stuff is really cool especially the Sin Cara No Count Out match, Mark Henry ECW match, and others. The Sheamus vs. Evan Bounre match sticks. Really good team wrestler. The Mattpool/Blackpool Combat Club vs. Team CMLL match last year was awesome, Sydal/Ricochet vs. Young Bucks vs. Penta/Fenix is one of my favorite matches ever, and The Sydal Brothers and Dante Martin vs. Young Bucks and Kenny Omega is still in my head years later. He can also be an nice agressor heel (vs. Will Ospreay in Rev-Pro and his Wrestling Society X). Interested in checking more. He feels like he might be 80-100.

I'm not sure if I has enough for me to feel like he would make my list but, he is great. I watched him live at Wrestle Reunion. i think sometimes he can be abit to touring matchy but, he's still fun in a variety of settings, the El Torito being so fun. He's is the star in one of my favorite matches ever.

Dr. Wagner Jr is proabably so far in my top 10. He's in 3 of my top 100 matches ever. vs. LA Par-K - AAA Sin Limite (11/15/12) vs. LA Par-K - Todo x Todo (5/11/13) vs. Blue Demon Jr - AAA TripleMania XXVII (8/3/19) If you are able to find watch the full show version, the entrances and post match are so cool. Earliest singles match I have seen of him so far (I think) is him vs. Gran Hamada in 1992 which was fun and he's still having good matches in 2025. Here's him vs. Cibrinetico in IWRG 2024. HiS charisma and presence is great, Bad Medicine is such a great theme song. I don't really know Spanish that well but, he feels like he radiates intensity and passion in what he says. I think something really cool about him how consistent has been. Even in awkward settings (his match in STARDOM) and matches that are not as fun (Dr. Wagner Jr vs. The Jason in BJW) he finds a way to keep me connected. He's so cool.

Big Murakami is making my list, very good performances, one of the best aura guys ever. I put him on the Abdullah The Butcher, Timothy Thatcher, and Andreza Giant Panda level were I would want to see him wrestle everyone. He seems be good still, liked what I've seen from him in RJPW and loved his performance in the KTDan 2 tag with Abe, Nomura, and Yuki Ishikawa.

Not sure how to feel about Okada, he has alot of great matches but, feels interesting. One of the big detrimental parts of Okada (specifically in his AEW run) is sometimes having a lack of spark and ot effecting his matches alot. I get Okada. I often feel like I want to like his matches more than what comes out.
-
He's so good!! Nearly everything I have seen him in as has been and interesting. I'm really connected with me, he's so fun. Right now he might be my favorite wrestler of the pre-color tv eras. Has a charisma that connects with alot of fun technical stuff. Not sure where he'll rank but, he's proabably making my list. Here's two matches that really helped me get him.
-
Mad Dog Connelly is great and is maybe one of the best wrestlers in the world right now. He brings a great intensity and anything can happen to his matches. Great presence. Him vs. Matt Tremont from DPW Victory Lap is one of my favorite matches of the year so far. The Rick Rude comp is fun because his character before Connelly was Dan Liplock (basically a Shawn Micheals early 90s character) from what I have seen is solid but, felt not him. I think it's way too early for him but, if someone put in their 90s I would understand it. Very fun to watch but, is still developing. I try to be stricter with newer wrestlers and more lenient towards older wrestlers.

I have struggled alot with Moxley and if should include him. To me the biggest case against him is in-ring he feels to much like a mirroring dance partner. I think he sometimes wrestles to much the level of his opponents energy wise on. If his opponent is unmotivated or having a bad day in the ring, he is not the type that can save the match and sometimes feel like not get a great individual performance out. One of the better promo and angle workers in modern wrestling too. Moxley is more of a case of that hes a great wrestler but, as of now it feels like I connect with other 90 wrestlers as better wrestlers and he's doesn't feel like a 10 personal pick. Great promo/angle doer and super important wrestler though. The Bucks are proabably the most important wrestlers in starting the ethos of an AEW happening but, Jon Moxley is the most important wrestler in that companies history. I don't know if AEW last as long as it has does without Moxley putting so much heart, credibility, and glue to the promotion.

I personally don't see it at all with Alexa Bliss. If it's In personal favorite section that's cool. I think it is cool with this lists to who connects with pepole. I know my 100 will have wrestlers that proabably won't connect to everybody. I haven't rewatched it but, her and Nikki Cross vs. Asuka and Kairi Sane from the empty arena Wrestlemania stands out as a great match even 5 years later. The Twisted Bliss is so very cool move.

Johnny GWE, one of my favorites as a kid and consistently fun to watch. He does have dips but, those feel like dips (the Samoa Joe, AEW match) but, those feel to me, him having an off night and not clicking more than a consistent run awkward. His Lucha Underground run is great and the AEW Johnny TV (especially when Rampage was happening) consistently fun. One of most fun live wrestlers I have ever seen, especially at indie shows. For context alot of the shows were not taped (there's fancam AEW x Adult Swim Battle For The Booty) but he still put on very fun efforts. I think he is very making things work as a wrestler through his charisma, charm, and skill. A triple threat cage match proabably with The Miz and John Cena who had shakey chemistry before/after this match shouldn't work but it does. Even stuff like the Dirty Dishes match with Taya Valkyrie would feel uncomfortable and maybe a slog with any other pair besides them but, it ends up being a very fun match. Also stuff like the Bad Bunny debut too. The Bunny Destroyer was so cool. Him as The Hammer in Russel Madness is fun too. I think he might 70-90, possibly higher More Match Recs CM Punk vs. John Morrison - WWE ECW, Aired 9/4/06 John Cena vs. John Morrison vs. The Miz (Steel Cage) - WWE Extreme Rules 2011 Big Ryck vs. Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma (Ladder Match) - Lucha Underground S1E07, 2014 Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma (All Night Long) - Lucha Underground S1E32, 2015 Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma - Lucha Underground S3E40 Ultimo Lucha Thres Part 4, 2016 Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. John Morrison & The Miz - WWE Wrestlemania Night 1, 4/10/21 Bandido vs. Johnny Downunder - WSW, 3/10/23 Royce Isaacs vs. Johnny Bloodsport - GCW Bloodsport, 3/30/23 Johnny TV vs. Orange Cassidy - AEW Rampage, 8/11/23 Johnny TV & MxM Collection (Mansoor & Mason Madden) vs. Big Boom AJ & The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe & Orange Cassidy) - AEW Revolution 2025 - Zero Hour, 3/9/25

I think Mei Suruga is probably going to end up in the 90s (personal favorites abd/or limited footage wrestlers I enjoy) This is not Mei Suruga's best match but, a great display on how good she is right now (as of now with Kenny Omega for my picks for wrestler of the year so far). She is facing someone who is celebrating their first year as a wrestler and she had a compelling match inspiring me to watch more Hiyori Kawata. She's doing do so good in her ace run.

Put, this on my GWE list. Tarzan Goto rules too!
