  1. Sorry brothers. Think I'm a tad confused by the order above after that second round. No worries though, WWF drops, given what's remaining on the board.
  2. WWF takes Taz.
  3. MACW feels quite hot at the moment! Some very realistic house shows and quality TV that captures the vibe of the era. Smashing it right now.
  4. If storytelling with house shows is what's needed in the absence of writing time, then you're nailing it currently. Brody and Bart with the brawl that never officially started. I'm always game for one of those on occasion! Adds meat to the heat of a rivalry, in my opinion. Awesome appearance and leveling of the playing field in the steel cage by Cpt. Redneck. Great to see Soul Man finally prevail with the Mid-South gold, after the prior stipulations proved unfruitful and needing the cage to be the leveling agent. Great stuff there. What an interesting finish with U.S. and the potentially faux submission. Great visual on that, which should set up quite the bit of conjecture. Not to mention the angst such a finish creates for fans, who will surely be more thirsty than ever for the outcome they want here. I didn't Scott Casey being the mystery guy in the big 6-man. Gut was telling me the 6-man would end up with more heat on the Champs, but instead it was a hot, dramatic finish on a high note. Great night out for the good folks in Jackson, coming out of a big night in Shreveport!
  5. Term of the Week: "Advanced Escape Technique". Pure GOLD! With a cheeky grin, I'm wagging my finger, DeNiro-style, at Lucifer. From Goodfellas: "You may know who we are, but we KNOW who you are." Lex is wasting no time either. I'm all in. Nikita remains one of the great top killing machine heels in all of Dawn of War, and proves it again in tonight's main event. Good stuff.
  6. re: Tully as the 4th Horsemen -- I KNEW IT!
  7. Way to kick off the relaunch with high-stakes action. Luger and Kabuki an interesting final 2. Really good hyping for the Norfolk show, as the show really came together more cohesively with just 1 TV show. Nice. Race will make noise right away. He said as much! Horsemen will be Horsemen, will they not? Ric seemed particular biting in this setting. I gotz a gut feeling about that 4th man, but we'll wait and see! Named music just adds a real sense of pop culture to these shows. I need to give that a shot! (I kid, I kid) Enjoyed that video, and this seems like an entertaining duo in the making. Interested to see how the Hawk/Animal dynamic evolves, given that 15 pounds of gold Hawk's carrying around. Perhaps the operative word is not "how", but "if". Always makes for interesting TV, whether something happens or something doesn't. LOD has an interesting future either way. Luger wins the TV gold & immediately is struck by fate. Shrouded in mystery, it should be exciting to see how this unfolds & what it means for the start of his 3rd reign. On to Norfolk... well-played. Kick ass with this promotion.
  8. Love, love, love the announcement of the World Title change as it happened in an untelevised setting. Takes me back to those days as a kid, seeing those bombshells dropped at the start of weekly TV and then chomping at the bit to see the footage. Loved the segment with Watts and Sheik, setting up the 8-man in Shreveport. Big stip for Rocky getting a return shot at the Title. The Shreveport show really came together in a big way on this week's TV. Great stuff.
  9. The WWF drops Steve Lombardi, Al Snow, and Jose Luis Rivera.
  10. As much as I enjoyed the house show at the Sports Arena (my favorite actually being the opener, given the build coming out of the TV), the TV was especially strong. I thought the delivery of Tojo, so properly capturing his verbal cadence and hints of broken English were extremely well-placed. Nerdy observation, I know. House show had a great follow-up, with the finish building to a bigger match with higher stakes. It's a very 80's heat-builder to put the heel manager's well-being on the line, particularly when said heel manager deserves it. And, in this case, Tojo has several ass-whoopings with his name on them! On that note, FUNK absolutely gave the crowd a taste of euphoria to close that house show! Sidenote: Needing another Jumbo/Funk Title match, especially given the way this one ended. Bring on Labor Day!
  11. This Milwaukee card had PPV vibes, no cap! Canek & Cobra get the eye-catching win over the Russians in spectacular fashion. Crews ends Garea with that high knee from the heavens. Wrecking Machine with the big win. Again, these finishes with these finishers surely put exclamation points on these battles. Ronnie lays out Flowers with a KO he clearly deserved for that lack of focus! Wahoo gets his decisive win against a heated foe. "Satisfying" was the perfect word for this. Talk about wanting to see 2 heels get their comeuppance. This voluntary count-out to hang on to the straps is a real heat-builder. Speaking of heat -- this is a pressure cooker with Dundee and King. What a way to see this end. Idol & Dundee should leave town quickly. Steamboat getting left laying with a death blow like that feels very much like a longer rivalry is afoot. Haynes is a really intriguing spoil for Steamboat, and I'd love to see more. Now THIS is a night out in a Milwaukee!
  12. To call this big night a success would be the understatement of the year! Dream Machine is the shot heard round the world before a single blow has been thrown, babay! Fabulous Ones get the big duke in the opener and off we go. BJH wins the big Loser Leaves Town match in controversial fashion. I can see Strong's legs swinging during that finishing move. Nice win for Casey after that 3rd bulldog... My jaw is still hanging from the Bruise Brothers- Priceless finish. Did not see it coming. Damn man... Colon and Kamala was a walk through Hell and back. Colon actually outlasted the Uganda Headhunter. Jarring visuals, especially at the end. Kamala will still be seen as a monster, coming out of this. The visual of Haystacks taking that awkward, nasty tumble has me like "Yikes", especially for a guy his size. Cool visual. Cabin Fever win the gold, literally, out of nowhere! Nice moment. Dream Machine is money right off the bat. Big unveil, big, controversial win in what can only be described as an utterly chaotic War Games-like melee. Rheingans and Da Crusher get the duke. Interesting stuff there with Verne & Greg in the post-match. I sense this is only the beginning. Man... methinks that referee is gonna have some 'splaining to do when Wahoo is back on his feet. This, I would think, paves the way for this issue to continue with Bockwinkle, but who knows. Wahoo will always be able to say he didn't submit. Nice win for the Golden Boys. Thinking the Highwaymen didn't draw it up this way. Whoa, Rocky drops the Title. Can't say I saw that coming, but would like to think there's another stop or 2 on this road with these 2. What a battle with King & Dundee, with an appropriate end that you can just see it in your mind's eye. Wow... did NOT see the Fabulous Ones pulling something like that on Rock N' Roll. But boy, is this gonna be the mother of all tag team feuds. Can only imagine how long Gibson could be out, after this. Champs remain the Champs in the process. Man, things are heating up in that tag division. Main Event time. And MY, did it deliver! Seeing The Dragon as the top guy during his physical peak is all the feels for me. And boy, did this ever not disappoint. Great build, great payoff, with the Champ standing tall in the end. This is what makes a main event title defense by a top babyface great. Awesome job here. And what a way to close the show! Tons to be done coming out of all this. GET TO WORK! Really, awesome show that lived up to the hype, and then some. I'm still all in!
  13. Two MONSTER nights so far! I think that Super Dome in New Orleans is gonna be jumpin' to close this thing out with a bang.
  14. A 3-day closed circuit experience. Tough not to feel like a giddy little kid, waiting for the big event to finally arrive. The level of creative collaboration and teamwork put into this is admirable. Well-plays, boys. That's to all involved.
  15. Abdullah's use of a fork on that loop of shows... man... Abdullah is definitely gonna Abdullah. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how the Moondogs are being used here. DOD is one of the most imposing stables in the game. Very nice contributory build to the Bash. Going to be a mega-show and your pieces of it are some of the main reasons why. Keep up the great work. Always a fun watch, for my money's worth!
  16. I'm intrigued! Looking forward to the kickoff show! Hart Brothers vs. Nightmares looks particularly fun, beyond the dynamic of Fritz as commish.
  17. That is going to be one epic wrestling weekend.
  18. I particularly loved the way the Midnight Express won the gold. It reminded me a tad of one of my all-time favorite tag matches, which I was also in the building for. SummerSlam 90 with the pre-match injury to Shawn and the match-long hope spot that he could recover just enough to keep his partner from having to suffer through the match 2-on-1, but the pain was too much for him and ultimately his partner had to. It spelled the team's demise. I sensed a spirit to this one that took me back to that place. Excellent work. I'm so here for more Muta and Gilbert as well!
  19. I just know this is going the blow the doors off this game.
  20. That Wrestlerock card is looking MEAN! Love the Bruise Brothers segment. Felt like I was right in front of the TV, watching it happen. And the heat-maker with Steamboat getting momentarily brought down, validating the heel's argument even if it's for a moment, was GOLD. I'm big-time in for this build to WR and the big payoff. Bring it!
  21. This Mid-South Coliseum show is going to be MASSIVE! Can't wait to see how the Steamboat/Kamala showdown unfolds. I had a feeling Ricky would take a beating in the final note before the big show. Great visual with the kendo shot. Didn't expect to see King down for the count after that slingshot, but man does it add to the heat going in. My money's on Wahoo to win the 8-man tournament, but who knows! Just a gut feeling. Need some betting odds for this tourney, as there's so many directions to go. Bring it on! I'm onboard!
  22. The WWF picks up Paul Roma and Jose Luis Rivera.
  23. Tribal Nation wins the big tournament in Amarillo. Very cool stuff there! I had a feeling the Moondogs might take it, as heat seems to be building around them lately -- especially all things with Sullivan coming into frame with them. Really enjoyed the Kendall beatdown. "REAL AMERICAN" IN WESTERN STATES! Such a perfect fit for FBB. Gotta love that for obvious reasons, if you're me. Awesome reveal with Terry Funk showing up on the scene to set the table with Pogo. That's going to make for great TV and live events in Texas also. Good stuff! I'm sold and ready for more!
  24. That Vegas card looks STACKED! That Gilbert/Muta main event looks intriguing to me. Just the mix of work styles seems like a good watch. Also, I got $20 on Duggan in the battle royal.
  25. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Welcome! Crush it...
