Not gonna happen. Fans might respect Brock as a wrestler but he is widely regarded as a jackass. I know the long time perception of Triple H has been negative but I think he gets the cheers and Brock the boos. Summerslam was different because people were expecting Triple H to beat Brock, and they were happy to be surprised. Then there was that phony segment post match transparently designed to get sympathy for HHH, getting fans to turn on the whole thing instead. Plus, if he does the same thing again, Hollywood heel Rock would be the most over babyface all over again.
  2. Don't take offense, but this part of the entry made me laugh out loud for so many different reasons.

If you got Dutch speaking for you, why would you open your mouth at all? I know Punk does a lot of his speaking when aligned with Heyman but that's a totally different dynamic. It does strike me as odd that a professional wrestler is having a deranged war veteran berate people on TV though, in kayfabe sense.

Not that anyone should be driving while stoned but no one I have ever known have ever sped while stoned. Bill Hicks has it right when he says those drivers tend to be slower. Weed slows down your response time for everything.
  5. Shit like this was always my TV main event when I would play Extreme Warfare Revenge. I'd take all my main event feud dudes and just throw out random tag nonsense with them every week. Either that or the classic "double count out, brawl to the back" singles match that gives away nothing before the PPV, of course. Same here. Always paired up two of my top three singles feud participants in tag matches in the main events... or non title matches for the champion vs non feuding opponent.

If it is kept to Cena vs Rock and Cena wins, should they book a rubber match? With how bad Rock's cardio has been, I say no.

Bit melodramatic, no? It's been a year since the main event being one on one, and you have to go back to WrestleMania XX that they had a triple threat go on last. Multi man mains are the exception, not the rule. While still true that triple threat title matches are not the rule, you are underselling its frequency. 2004: Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs The Vanished 2006: Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton 2008: Randy Orton vs Triple H vs John Cena 2009: Edge vs Big Show vs John Cena

Someone should go back to the dawn of Mark Henry time and detail every single trash talking line and post it online.
  9. You mean, after squashing Punk like a bug the last time out they had a program, Taker won't be more generous this time around?

A clash with Vicki Guerrero over marriage equality is inevitable, since every gay man has at least one friend or acquaintance like Vicki. There are no exceptions. A fag hag you mean?

They clearly want it as a t-shirt.
  12. Renowned hard-as-nails tough guy Jeff Hardy kicked out of the first G2S at Extreme Rules 2009 - after he had endured a TLC match with Edge. So logically Rock should be capable of surviving at least one and it would take at least five of them to beat Taker at 'Mania if that match were to happen. All the more reason why he should bust out the Anaconda Vice to beat Taker, should they book it and book Punk to win.
  13. I kinda get it though. With Mark Henry he has been pushed as a killer on and off since like 2004ish. When they started up the Hall of Pain run, it began in May in full force (I think), and they still waited to put the belt on him til September or October. I don't think Swagger is meant to win at Wrestlemania, so I don't mind him winning the Chamber. Remember Santino was a hair away from winning it last year, so it's been proven it takes just as much luck as it does talent to be put in a position to win. If they continue the Swagger push the same way they did before the Chamber, with him submitting everyone in the Patriot Lock, then he can easily be a believable main eventer by June.
  14. Not disagreeing with the logic, but they could still have Del Rio stand up to Swagger's bigotry, without a title involved. I don't think a WHC is needed anymore if the gap between the "RAW" title and the "SD" title is growing larger by the week. The last time the WHC meant anything really, was when Batista held it, and that was like 8 years ago.
  15. Showing Hogan to not be quite on the ball with references. Honestly, I loved WCW and this shit El-P is watching is great, even if it was business-killing. I mean, fuck. Chaos at its best... or worst, depending on point of view.
  16. Question: Are house shows still single-branded? If they aren't, and the top stars go to every house show, why not just end the World title? Or at least have it merged back into the WWE title?
  17. Probably why they thought it was a good idea to do a potentially (read: not really) big media-related angle for the belt. If it's worthless, why not take a shot in the dark and do the stupid thing rather than waste a Hall of Pain induction for Alberto Del Rio.
  18. That is a fantastic idea. Triple H calling in favors to get Batista and/or Flair and teaming up with Orton to eliminate the threat.
  19. Same here. I think my interest died when they announced Rock/Cena again and the possibility of HHH getting his win back from Brock (which is still very much in play).
  20. Just to clarify, Dylan, I am not really disagreeing with your points. I am just sort of defending the idea of Swagger being picked as the lamb to be led to slaughter. Del Rio is not losing the belt at Wrestlemania in nearly any circumstance* *Then again, I thought the same thing when they did Eddie Guerrero vs JBL at GAB...
  21. I suspect they planned the Swagger thing before Mark Henry returned to great pops. If the WWE knew what they should know now back then, I am sure they would have crafted a Road to Mania title storyline around Mark Henry, but they did not. Honestly, I don't want Del Rio beating Mark Henry, so Swagger serves well as that Mania moment for Del Rio. He gets to slay the bigoted heel on the biggest stage and validate his standing in the company. Who cares what Swagger did six months ago? They spent like two months building Swagger up as a "I am sick of this shit! I'm going to fuck people up now" heel, with the ankle lock thing. It's not like they woke up two weeks before the chamber and decided "You know, maybe we should have Jack Swagger challenging for the title at Wrestlemania". It does not really matter who looks stronger. You start somewhere for everyone. Mark Henry was off the heels of being a fat jobber before he put things together and became the great character he is now. You never know who shines when given an opportunity. Mark Henry is, to my estimation, nearly a made man now. He can wait.
  22. Besides, if Mark Henry was to be involved in a title match at Wrestlemania, his character is such that he is better as the defending champion walking in, as opposed to being the challenger. Only way he works as a Mania title challenger is if the defending champion was a beast himself (like Ryback) and Mark walks in as a Royal Rumble winner and looking to fuck shit up.
  23. Well come on now, with Del Rio as the champion, who else makes the most sense challenging? I know people love Mark Henry but the matchup in itself is not as interesting as the foreigner/anti-immigration patriot storyline. Mark Henry's glorious Hall of Pain Title Run II can wait.
  24. Dirtiest Player in the Court? I know Flair is an old dude now, but I don't buy that he's allowing this woman to beat him up, weapons or not.
  25. Punk/Brock is what I'd like to see. Supposedly Brock re-upped with the WWE for another year so they have more flexibility as far as who they can match up against Brock but I don't think they see Punk as worthy enough challenger to Brock just yet... especially not at Wrestlemania. Edit: In fact, the tag match mentioned gives them a better avenue getting to Punk/Brock (having Punk take the pinfall, Brock goes ballistic and destroys Punk post-match, Heyman is torn between the two but ultimately chooses the homicidal beast over Punk, sets up a Punk babyface chase of Brock going into Summerslam)
