Been watching some more El Generico Vs. Jigsaw Vs. Kota Ibushi Vs. Nick Jackson (Chikara - 3/28/09) - Short but really fun 4-way match. Spotfest spotfest spotfest. ***3/4 Mistico Vs. Negro Casas (CMLL 2/3 Falls - 3/28/09) - Mistico defends his title against old man Casas. I'm overrating this, but it was really fun with Casas pulling out all the stops and shocking the world! ****1/4 Roderick Strong Vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima (ROH - 4/3/09) - Great opener, maybe the best all year. ***3/4 KENTA Vs. Davey Richards (ROH - 4/3/09) - Hard hitting action to a super hot crowd. I liked this tons more on my replay. ****1/2 KENTA & Tyler Black Vs. Katushiko Nakajima & Austin Aries (ROH - 4/4/09) - Two feuds mix together in this dream tag team match-up. Last few minutes are awesome. ***3/4 Money In the Bank Ladder Match IV (WWE - 4/5/09) - OK MOTY match. Hornswoggle brought his own ladder. Shelton kills himself again and doesn't get a push. ***1/4 Shawn Michaels Vs. The Undertaker (WWE - 4/5/09) - Awesome main event atmosphere. Will most likely win MOTY on most lists. ****1/4 Negro Casas Vs. Mistico (CMLL 2/3 Falls - 4/18/09) - The rematch! Featured 300% more Casas prancing. **** American Wolves Vs. Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black (ROH - 4/18/09) - From Tag Title classic. And it's really good but I don't rate it as high as others have. ***3/4 Edge Vs. John Cena (WWE - Last Man Standing - 4/26/09) - Surprised how much I liked this. Lots of dramatic moments of people trying to get up to stop the count. **** Hiroshi Tanahashi Vs. Hirooki Goto (NJ - 5/3/09) - Solid defense in their long awaited rematch. Both guys are exhausted at the end. ***3/4 Kensuke Sasaki & Morishima Vs. Mitsuharu Misawa & Go Shiozaki (NOAH - 5/6/09) - Finals of the tag league. Shiozaki basically gets killed but doesn't give up. Morishima & Sasaki are awesome as a tag team. ****1/4

I've been busy with Holidays and moving. I left off on Disk #8 but haven't restarted it yet, spending all my time catching up on 2009 matches!

March 2009 (First couple of weeks) Takashi Sugiura & Go Shiozaki Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Milano Collection AT (NOAH 3/1/09) - Hot crowd. I'm really digging these NJ VS. NOAH tags. **** Katsuhiko Nakajima Vs. KENTA (NOAH - 3/1/09) - Awesome title match for free agent Nakajima's Jr. title. Can KENTA bring it home? ****1/2 Jay Briscoe Vs. Roderick Strong (ROH - 3/13/09) - Good short opener. ***1/2 Kaz Hayashi Vs. Minoru (AJ - 3/14/09) - Good ending but kinda dragged on for me and my Russo-like attention span. ***1/2 Ultimate X Match (TNA - 3/15/09) - Guys busted their ass but I didnt go crazy like I should've. I'm becoming numb To Ultimate X matches, not good. *** Nigel McGuinness Vs. KENTA (ROH - 3/21/09) - Nigel was FUCKED with both arms out of action so they built the story around it. He refused to go down! Didn't hear much from this match but I really like it. ****

I think I'm getting too old and jaded for wrestling. Nothing stood out for me this year so far. Any suggestions to what I should check out is appreciated! Here's what Ive seen so far!: February 2009 (Since it's eligible in the voting) KENTA Vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima (Kensuke Office - 2/11/09) - Saw this pimped as a high MOTYC but didn't love it as much. Epic feel with the long length for the Jr. title. Sometimes epic is 10 minutes too long. ***3/4 RAW Elimination Chamber (WWE - 2/15/09) - Final moments is what makes this match great with Cena getting eliminated right away. ***3/4 Yuji Nagata Vs. Hirooki Goto (NJ - 2/15/09) ***1/2 Hiroshi Tanahashi Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (NJ - 2/15/09) - Solid title match. Can Nakamura beat that punk Tanahasi again? **** The Dynasty Vs. Paul London & The Young Bucks (PWG - 2/21/09) - Even Paul London blowing every 3rd move he tried didn't detract from this fun 6-man main event. ***3/4 Christian Vs. Jack Swagger (ECW - 2/24/09) - Great TV match but not the MOTYC I've heard. What the hells wrong with me? ***1/2

Finally moved and now with the break I'm Catching up on 2009. I'm running a Best of 2009 poll on another forum so I'm trying to catch up with 2009 matches. Any suggestions to what I should check out is appreciated! Here's what Ive seen so far!: Dec 2008 (Since it's eligible in the voting) Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Kotaro Suzuki Vs. KENTA & Taiji Ishimori (NOAH - 12/7/08) - Typically Fun NOAH Jr. match but nothing special. ***3/4 Nigel McGuinness Vs. Naomichi Marufuji (ROH - 12/27/08) - Didnt get into this as much as others. McGuiness defends the title. ***1/2 Bryan Danielson Vs. Takeshi Morishima (ROH No-DQ - 12/27/08) - Intense finish to their classic series! ****1/2 Jan 2009: Shinsuke Nakamura & Hirooki Goto Vs. Mitsuharu Misawa & Takashi Sugiura (NJ - 1/4/09) - Fun mostly due to a hot crowd. ***3/4 Keiji Mutoh Vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi (NJ - 1/4/09) - Featured 10,407 Dragon Screws. Actually Big Japan should have a 10,000 Dragon Screws Deathmatch. *** Alex Shelly Vs. Chris Sabin (TNA - 1/11/09) Tournament finals. Tag partners fight over the title. ***3/4 Kurt Angle Vs. Jeff Jarrett (TNA No-DQ - 1/11/09) Loser gets Karen Angle match. **** Shawn Michaels Vs. John Cena (WWE Raw - 1/12/09) Alot better than I expected, went over 20 minutes too.. The camera showed more of JBL standing at ringside expressionless than on the match. ***1/2 Jimmy Jacobs Vs. Austin Aries (ROH I-Quit match - Taped 11/22/08 - Aired 1/16/09) - I didn't get into this as much as others. Blow off to Lacy angle. ***1/2 Nigel McGuinness Vs. Bryan Danielson (ROH - Taped 11/22/08 - Aired 1/16/09) - Another awesome match from these two. ****1/2 KENTA Vs. Kotaro Suzuki (NOAH - 1/25/09) - Suzuki mistreats the ref and does the best blade job ever. ***3/4 The Colony Vs. Osirian Portal (Chikara - 1/25/09) - Fun spotfest but nothing special. ***1/2 ********************

OK ill try to post some thought from now on. As for Disk #7. The only 3 matches that stood out for me was: - Fun non-stop 6-man with the new guys trying out all their moves. Noting super special but my favorite on the disk. - A little slow at times but two solid tag matches with the younger dudes taking on their mentors. - OK but really slow at times and Brody silly selling went into underdrive. To be honest I've seen about 4 or so other Inoki/Brody matches (admittedly not at the same time) and would rate them higher than this one. Didnt have the big matchup feel and crown heat as in their other matches. But thats just me. How about you guys? Anyone gotten to Disk #7 yet? Or any thought on other matches. In the midst of packing up and moving but hopefully I'll get to start Disk #8 which is the start of the awesome NJ/UWF feud.

That's crazy. I didnt know such complications could come from mono. I'm guessing he forced himself to train or refused to go to the doctor to get treated and his immune system got shot? I dont know cause I dont watch House. More of a "Lost" guy (which is why i'm always confused) :-) Here hoping they find out what wrong with him and he starts getting treated and its not serious since he just had a child,

I also liked the match.:-( Ive been passing out "Support Tiger Mask Vs. Black Tiger" leaflets throughout parking lots to keep it from being the last match in the results. I call it Proposition 174. *************************************************************************** Floyd's Master Plan to ruin the results (Part 4 of 15): Disk #4 #1. No afraid I haven't, thanks for the suggestion! If its the same match as: Tiger Mask & Kantaro Hoshino vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi & Gran Hamada (2/10/83) Then Im almost there in the DVDVR set!
-
- Added some 1984 matches.

It was a clipped 10 minutes with a bunch of meh matwork. What was better about it? I just rewatched it and yeah its about the same (alot of the same moves too), but I'd still rate it a bit higher, just seemed more exciting to me for some reason. Perhapes the crowd or commentary (They seemed more excited!). Maybe cause I watched it along time ago and hadn't seen so many Fujinami matches in a row, the matwork seemed more passable to me. Dunno if its clipped but I got the 18 minute version from the The Legend Tiger Mask 5-DVD set.

Floyd's Master Plan to ruin the results (Part 2 of 15): Disk #2: 1. Andre the Giant vs. Stan Hansen (9/23/81) 2. Tiger Mask vs. El Canek (12/8/81) 3. Tiger Mask vs. Gran Hamada (11/6/81) 4. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Isamu Teranishi (10/8/81) 5. Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid (4/23/81) 6. Bob Backlund vs. Stan Hansen (9/30/80) 7. Chavo Guerrero vs. Kengo Kimura (9/30/80) 8. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ron Starr (9/30/80) 9. Antonio Inoki vs. Stan Hansen (4/23/81) 10. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Andre the Giant & Rene Goulet (12/10/81) 11. Tiger Mask & Kengo Kimura vs. Negro Navarro & El Signo (10/30/81) 12. Tiger Mask & Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Pete Roberts & El Solitario (9/4/81) 13. Chavo Guerrero vs. Kengo Kimura (11/3/80) 14. George Takano vs. Stan Lane (7/24/81) 15. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Steve Keirn (11/6/80) ----------------------------------------------------- - The Tiger Mask/Hamada match was alot of fun. I actually think their match from 2/3/83 is a tad better for those wanting to hunt it down. - Andre was awesome! Not only in the big Hansen match but the tag too. I'm guessing it was the MSG finals? which reminds me of the also fun Hogan/Hansen MSG Tag team matches that missed the final cut. - The name sounds familiar but I can't remember seeing Ron Starr before. he was pretty good although the match was only about average. - Inoki kicked out of the Lariat AND bodyslammed Andre! He deserves his own island! ------------------------------ 148 matches to go!

Floyd's Master Plan to ruin the results (Part 1 of 15): Here's my Disk #1 rankings. 1. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Dynamite Kid (2/5/80) 2. Tatsumi Fujinami & Kantaro Hoshino vs. Dynamite Kid & Steve Keirn (1/18/80) 3. Gran Hamada vs. Babyface (4/3/80) 4. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Johnny Londos (9/19/80) 5. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Kengo Kimura (9/25/80) 6. Antonio Inoki vs. Stan Hansen (9/11/80) 7. Antonio Inoki vs. Stan Hansen (2/8/80) 8. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Chavo Guerrero (5/9/80) 9. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Steve Keirn (2/3 Falls) (2/1/80) 10. Antonio Inoki vs. Stan Hansen (4/3/80) 11. Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Tony Rocco (9/11/80) 12. Antonio Inoki vs. Stan Hansen (5/9/80) ------------------------------ - Tatsumi Fujinami is awesome and may be the best technical wrestler of the 80's. He had awesome matwork and it was always varied and never got old. - Don't think I've ever seen Kengo Kimura before, he was really impressive in the Disk #1 match. - The Inoki/Hansen series was fun to watch seeing how it progressed through the 4 matches. No one match really stood out though. 163 matches to go!

PWT Top 100 Matches of All Time (v 2.0) Not my own personal Top 100, but I was one of the 79 voters and thought the results were very good! Disk #1: #101. JWP Vs. AJW Thunderqueen Battle (153pts / 6 votes) JWP Thunder Queen Battle in Yokohoma (July 31st, 1993) - Awesome inter-promotional tag match. The way it works is each team has 4 wrestlers. There are four 5 minutes singles matches to begin. Their like mini Iron-Women matches where each fall is counted and the match continues until the 5 minute mark. Then for the remaining 40 minuites, it turns into an eight women tag team match. Whichever team has the most wins in an hour are the winners. The singles matches were cool cause it had alike pairings and also established bruisers Aja Kong and Dynamite Kansai and the big matchup. For one hour there's never a dull moment. I have the "5-star fear" but what the heck: ***** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #100. The Rock Vs. Hulk Hogan (153pts / 7 votes) WWF Wrestlemania 18 (March 17th, 2002) - It's Legend Vs. Legend! Icon Vs. Icon! Hogan was VERY prepared for this match cause he was sporting the massive tan. The actual wrestling in the match was OK. It went back and forth and both guys used each others move for big near falls. But the reason this is just a great match is the commentary and AWESOME crowd. Crowd is insanely super hot the entire match and 100% rooting for the heel Hulkster. Match goes about 17 minutes. **** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #99. Jim Duggan Vs. Ted DiBiase (No DQ, Loser Leaves Town, Coal Miner's Glove on a Poll, Tuxedo, Cage match) (154pts / 6 votes) Mid-South (March 22nd, 1985) - Short but bloody brawl to end their feud. Their locked in and Loser Leave Town so no more shenanigans! Duggan wears a white tux to get blood on it and DiBiase's in black cause he's such a heel. Crowds really into it. Intense match goes about 10 minutes. ****1/2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #98. Aja Kong Vs. Manami Toyota (155pts / 5 votes) All Japan Women Big Egg Wrestling Universe (November 20th, 1994) - Great 1st round match in the one night tournament. Mammoth Aja Kong beats her down and twists Toyota's body in positions it's not supposed to go. Like many others I could do without the constant screaming but I persevered. Some crazy moves including two that could've been career-enders. The comeback is really exciting with the huge crowd getting really into it. Match went about 18 min. ****1/2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #97. Dean Malenko Vs. Eddie Guerrero (2/3 Falls) (155pts / 6 votes) ECW Arena (August 26th, 1995) - The ECW crowd knew the Vanilla Midgets were going south but still gave them a classy sendooff. Plus Malenko proves not to be a mute giving a speech afterwards. Their feud finished up in a 2/3 Falls technical classic. Slow at points and might be boring for some, but I think it's pretty good. Match goes around 20 min. ***3/4

Just got back in town to find the New Japan set waiting at home, it's just like Christmas when I was a kid! Goodhelmet is indeed a great man.

Yeah I'm planning on it!

- Added 1983 matches ************************** I've been wasting my life watching old movies. Now I'll try wasting my life watching wrestling instead for awhile. That stupid WCW poll Ray ran took years off my life and I needed a break! :-P Got a bunch of those kickass Schneider comps from Goodhelmet. Maybe I should, I dunno, WATCH them..
