Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN, March 14th Makhan Singh vs. Bobby John Drinkard Last week, "The Monster" Makhan Singh made his shocking return to PCW with a dastardly attack on Steven Regal. Drinkard was no doubt one of many who were wishing he had not returned. John Tatum and Jack Victory were both at ringside, smirking while their new ally pounded the living daylights out of Drinkard before finishing him off with the Monster Mash (front slam). They might not be smiling so much when Regal comes after them for revenge. Roddy Piper vs. Chris Candido This was … strange. Once again, the Playboy Club were gunning for Piper, sending one half of the Suicide Blondes after him. Piper certainly used his experience and guile against Candido, but the former Light Heavyweight champ was no pushover, and gave as good as he got. The bizarre part came when Candido's partner, Louie Spicolli, came running out, looking to tip the balance of the match. He didn't get more than a few steps out of the entrance when, out of nowhere, he was torpedoed to the ground by Art Barr with a vicious spear. Barr didn't do more afterwards than give Spicolli a baleful glare before disappearing back into the crowd. Candido was so caught off guard by these events that he was an easy mark for Piper's belly to back suplex that got the win for the Hot Scot. The three way drama between Piper, Barr and the Playboy Club continues to be one of the more unusual stories on the West Coast. Interview : Don Coss stands in the Crow's Nest Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest continues to make waves up and down the west coast … Bam Bam Bigelow! The crowd cheers as the Beast From The East, sporting his usual amiable gap toothed grin, makes his way to the Crow's Nest. Coss : Bam Bam, you are coming off one of the biggest wins of your career, defeating the former 2 time Pacific Heavyweight Champ "Playboy" Buddy Rose at Aloha Spectacular. A lot of folks are wondering about the interaction you had with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who we just saw. Care to fill us in? Bigelow : Sure thing, Don. You see, Roddy has his own beef with Rose. Figures, Rose gets under the skin of a lot of people. He was so mad, he wanted to get his own shot at Buddy. I just asked him if he could do me a big favor and turn back around. I wanted to get my win my own way, entirely my own doing. Roddy is a man among men and knew what I was talking about. He turned around and let me take care of business. And I did! Coss : It was an impressive win , that's for sure. Now you seem to be having a bit of a feud with Genichiro Tenryu. Bigelow : That's right, Don. Like I said at the start of the year, I am set on breaking out in a big way this year. The only way I can do that is taking on the very best. Tenryu's a legend, one of the toughest guys in wrestling. If I can beat him, I can beat anyone! And once I do that, I am going right up to the top of PCW! Big Bully Busick vs. Rob Zakowski For the past several weeks, Big Bully Busick has proved to be the kryptonite to the Hexagon in their war with the Citadel. No matter what they have tried, the Man From Powerhouse Hill has always come out on top. Tonight, they are throwing out one of their biggest aces in the thrilling high flyers, Rob Zakowski. Busick made sure to have his good friend Shane Douglas in his corner to watch his back. Zakowski was able to land some impressive flying kicks but they didn't seem to make much of a dent in Busick. Things took a turn when Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero started walking down the runway to the ring. Douglas went out to intercept them, but this proved to just be a diversion from the real attack. Someone rushed out of the crowd, brandishing a steel chair, (a lot of people hiding in the crowd these days) and attacked Busick in the ring. It was Sabu! While Guerrero and Malenko double teamed Douglas, Sabu and Zakowski ganged up on Busick, with Sabu hitting a slingshot legdrop assisted by the chair. Malenko and Guerrero came into the ring and held Busick prone while Sabu hit some brutal chair shots before they all scattered back to the locker room. It looks like the Hexagon have taken the nuclear option in dealing with Busick. Big Vito Lograsso vs. Jim Lynch While Big Vito has mostly been in six man tag team action, "The Italian Stallion" has also had some standout performances in singles matches. Jim Cornette's recruit made a show of force in easily dominating Lynch before finishing him off with the Sicilian Smash (running forearm smash to the face). Camp Cornette remains a force to be reckoned with in Pacific Coast Wrestling. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Booker T Another tag wrestler trying his hand at singles action this week is Booker T, one half of DDP's powerful new team of Harlem Heat. He certainly had his work cut out for him with his opponent, the All American hero Sgt. Slaughter. Booker did manage to get some power moves in, but the double tough Marine DI proved to be too much, taking Booker down with the Slaughter Cannon. Just goes to show, it would take a lot to put Sarge down. Pacific Television Title Match : Scotty The Body © vs. Al Snow While the Playboy Club have had their hands full with the likes of Roddy Piper, the Brigade, and possibly even Art Barr, Scotty The Body has been keeping their profile high with his holding the Pacific TV Title. He was confident as always as he faced Al Snow, and while the Snowman gave him a few scares, Scotty was able to hit the Body Shot (DDT) to keep the title firmly in his possession. Scotty clearly has no intention of letting go of the title any time soon.

For the boys = Ferda boys = FERDA! It's from a Canadian series called Letterkenny. For a while, I had been toying with the idea of modeling some of my writing of the Thrillseekers on two characters from the show, Reilly and Jonesy, two dim witted but good natured hockey players. I felt Jericho and Storm kind of came off this way in their intro videos to SMW.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, March 9th Jason Jett vs. Jimmy Del Ray This would be the rubber match for the weekend series between the Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers, and while it could have gone either way, Jett finally took the match and series for the Money Train with the Crash Landing (rolling release suplex) The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. The Midnight Express The war between these two teams kept raging with the Express taking this round with Eaton hitting the Alabama Jam on the Eagle. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Jack Victory Perhaps it was looking to make up for the FoJ's earlier loss, perhaps he took umbrage at what Victory helped do to Steven Regal earlier in the weekend. Whatever it was, Slaughter made an example of Victory, tossing him about the ring before forcing him to surrender to the Cobra Clutch. Art Barr vs. Jerry Lynn Ever since the coalition of the Hexagon, Barr has been going to a whole new dangerous gear, and went all out to defeat Lynn with a Frog Splash. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) © vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) In a tough bout, the Dreamboats successfully defended their titles when Shane executed the Glamour Profession (top rope elbow drop) on O'Grady. California Title Match : Dennis Condrey © vs. Steve Blackman This would be Condrey's first defense of his newly won title, and he proved that his win was no fluke as he defeated a game Blackman with the reverse DDT.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , March 8th David Cash vs. Billy Black In the second singles battle this weekend between members of the Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers, Billy Black and Jim Cornette were looking to keep the momentum going. However, despite some impactful moves from the Redneck Casanova, Cash hit a spectacular Hurricanrana from the top rope to even the weekend score for the Money Train. Barry Windham, Billy Gunn & The Thrillseekers vs. Brian Lee, Scotty The Body & The Suicide Blondes This would be the first official match for the new lineup of the Brigade. Lee went after Windham hard, but the Thrillseekers pulled the match out with a double top rope dropkick on Spicolli . Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Genichiro Tenryu Two weeks ago, these two went to an exciting double countout draw. Tonight, they once again went to a hard fought draw, this time due to the 20 minute time limit running out. Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Chris Adams PCO dodged the Superkick and hit a package piledriver to get something of an upset win. The Canadian fans were ecstatic for this major victory for the Fighting French Canadian. Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart & Shinya Hashimoto vs. Ted Dibiase & The Miracle Violence Combination In a long and ferocious war, Dibiase jacked Steamboat in the back of the head with a loaded black glove to steal the win.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, March 7th Mike Awesome vs. Ibrehem Rahman Awesome came out feeling full of himself, looking smug after both defeating Billy Gunn and ambushing Steve Austin. DDP was bragging at ringside as well, while Awesome completely dismantled poor Rahman in the ring before putting the last nail in the coffin with the Awesome Bomb. If he really has taken out Austin for good, that is a truly impressive claim on Awesome's resume. Big Bully Busick & Shane Douglas vs. Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko While the Hexagon still have a lot of momentum, a consistent stumbling block for them has been Big Bully Busick. No matter what they have thrown at him, the man in the derby hat has always been able to come out on top. One more time, they did all they could to keep away from him and focus their attack on Douglas. It was all for naught, as Shane was able to make a rolling tag and Busick swiftly put away Malenko with his dreaded Spinebuster Slam. The Hexagon were silent as they left the ring, but they both looked at the Sinister Minister, nodded, and he nodded back to the end . Sinister doings are clearly afoot. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are one of the most popular factions on the West Coast … the Brigade! The fans warmly greet the two athletic Texans. Barry Windham and Billy Gunn amiably high five the hands of the fans as they make their way to the ring. Coss : A warm welcome as always from the fans, gentlemen! Windham : And it is always appreciated, Don. But we'll cut straight to the chase. It is still just the two of us, and while Billy here is an amazing partner, a duo doesn't make for much of a Brigade. But we're being patient. Roddy Piper gave us some good advice, and we're sure that, when the right candidates appear, they will come to us … He is cut off as "Rock America" plays over the arena PA. The Canadian fans know what is coming next, and loudly cheer as their countrymen, the Thrillseekers, dash to the ring, slapping palms along the way. Chris Jericho : Wait no longer, boys, because here we are! Face it … you need us, and we need you. You need two talented , handsome young studs to make the Brigade whole … and here we are! What we need is leadership. We need to learn from the best to become the best, and let's face it … the Brigade are the best. We will bring it for the Brigade, night after night, and we won't stop. We will be completely dedicated to the Brigade, and everything we do will be for the Boys! Lance Storm : Ferda Boys! Together : FERDA!!!!!! Billy Gunn : (puzzled look) Barry, these guys are kind of weird … but they're not wrong. We've both teamed with him, and you've got to admit, the chemistry is there. I think we've found the winners here. What do you say? Windham : Well, what else is there to say , but … welcome to the Brigade, boys! Chris Hamrick vs. Big Vito Lograsso These two helped kick off Aloha Spectacular with an absolute barnstormer of a Trios Title Match. Tonight, they would be squaring off in singles action. Both Big Vito and his manager, Jim Cornette, were set on avenging the earlier loss, and Vito was particularly ferocious in his offense. Hamrick did all he could to hold back the tide, but wound up overwhelmed when Vito hit the Sicilian Smash (running forearm smash to the face). Vito got the three count, and Cornette was crowing as they headed back to the locker room. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen …. Errrr, the Terror Collective! The crow explodes in boos, while Ted Dibiase leads his men (Terry Gordy, Steve Williams, Gary Albright, David Young) to the ring. Dibiase is looking like the proverbial cat that ate the canary. Coss : Mr. Dibiase, ummm, with all due respect, sir … you seem all confidence, but in the time you have been in Pacific Coast Wrestling, you have not yet won a single title. Dibiase : All part of the plan, Coss. You see, it wouldn't do the Collective any good to just walk over a bunch of cream puffs. We deliberately went to Pacific Coast Wrestling because it is the most prestigious promotion in all of wrestling and has the toughest competition. We've sent our very best against Ricky Steamboat, and he still has the title, but that will only make it so much sweeter when we inevitably do win. Credit where it is due, Steamboat, you are a great champion. But we are persistent, and your time is coming to a close. In fact, it won't be too long before everyone in the Terror Collective has a title. And Bret Hart … Terry here has something to say to you. Gordy : Bret Hart! Daddy's Boy! You just got a taste of what is coming for you when we fought at Aloha Spectacular! You were lucky to make it out, but I ain't through with you by a damned sight! Gonna send you running back to your pappy with your tail between your legs, make no mistake! Bret Hart vs. Fit Finlay Well , after that interview, Bret Hart may well have been keeping an eye out for Terry Gordy in his match. Gordy didn't make an appearance, but the Hitman had his hands full with the Belfast Bruiser. The pugnacious Irishman refused to take any backwards steps, resulting in a hard hitting bout where Bret took every thot that Finlay dished out, and Finlay evaded the Sharpshooter but went down to a diving bulldog Headlock. A hard fought win, with the threat of Terry Gordy still looming over Bret Hart's head. Steven Regal vs. John Tatum Regal is coming off the hard loss of his California Title to Dennis Condrey, but is coming back to show he is still a contender. His opponent, John Tatum, may be best known in PCW as a tag team wrestler, but also has a considerable history in singles action, and was canny enough to avoid some of Regal's moves, but it seemed like the English Lion was starting to catch up with him when things took a strange turn. Jack Victory, Tatum's Coast 2 Coast partner, started slowly walking down the aisle towards the ring. This led to Trisa Hayes and the Dreamboats to come out to block his way. An argument started between the two sides, the ref left the ring to break things up. Behind him in the ring, a huge and cowled figure dashed in out of the crowd and attacked Regal from behind. He ambushed Regal with a brutal clothesline, then power slammed him and hit a crushing sitting splash before dodging out of the ring. When the ref got back to the ring, all he could see was Tatum covering Regal, and had no choice to make the three count. After the match, while the Dreamboats were checking on Regal, Tatum and Victory were joined by the mystery man, who took off his cowl and revealed ….. "The Monster" Makhan Singh! Singh had a brief but impactful run in PCW some years ago, and had now returned to align with Coast 2 Coast. A dangerous new element to bring into their feud with the Dreamboats, but is it worth drawing the ire of Steven Regal?

Also Jose Lothario is listed on both the free agent and retired lists.

PCW drops Masahiro Chono and picks up Mike Shaw. Small note, Jerry Bryant is showing on the retired list but passed away in late December 1989.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Aloha Spectacular 1990 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Night Two The Thrillseekers vs. The Suicide Blondes As hinted by their name, the Thrillseekers have been provided plenty of thrills to their fans. The Canadian duo emerged at the top of the year as immediate crowd pleasers, and the PCW audience have supported them through wins and losses thanks to their gregarious personalities and daredevil style. They were taking on tough opposition in their first ever Mega Show appearance, as the Suicide Blondes had gained a considerable edge to their behavior since joining the Playboy Club. The Blondes certainly put them through the ringer with their ruthless tactics, but Jericho and Storm kept bouncing back with more high flying moves, ultimately taking down Candido with a springboard double dropkick for the win. Further proof that PCW's tag team division is on fire. Roddy Piper vs. Art Barr Alongside his feud with the Playboy Club, Piper has been trying to teach Art Barr a bit of respect, but Barr doesn't seem to have much respect for anyone. This was an especially chaotic brawl, with nary a lockup or drop toehold to be seen. Things completely broke down when Buddy Rose and Scotty The Body showed up at ringside, leading to Piper brawling with them outside. This only served to further annoy Barr, who did a spectacular dive out of the ring onto all three men. By the time they got to the ring, Piper and Barr kept slugging it out until the ref called for a double countout. As they left the ring, Barr and the Sinister Minister were glowering at both Piper and the Playboy Club. Pierre Carl Ouellette vs. Sabu The Sinister Minister brought that anger to the next match, with him seeming to give orders to Sabu to make an example of PCO. The Fighting French Canadian certainly wasn't the example making type, and refused to give an inch as he fought back with equal fury. This was a mighty struggle indeed, but in the end, Sabu would not be denied as he hit a moonsault to the skies to score the one two three. A bit win for Sabu, but PCO made him work for every bit of it. Dan Severn & Steve Blackman vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) The OWC started out in the Terror Collective as the junior members, but there could be no denying that they are carrying their share of the load now. They would be facing the more experienced Citadel duo of Severn and Blackman, and while the Citadel certainly acquitted themselves well, Young catching Blackman in the Spinebuster Slam gave the win to the OWC. Do the Terror Collective have any weak spots? Billy Gunn vs. Mike Awesome After his ambush of Steve Austin the night before, Awesome was drawing a huge amount of boos from the crowd. Billy Gunn gave a valiant effort and held off Awesome for as long as he good, but it was only a matter of time before the end came via the Awesome Bomb. A convincing win, but let's see how well he does now that he has made an enemy of Steve Austin. The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. Harlem Heat The match was further proof of the depth of the PCW tag team division, with the beloved patriotic duo of the Patriot and the Eagle squaring off against DDP's new duo of Booker T and Stevie Ray. Despite some powerful moves from Harlem Heat, it looked like the FOJ were headed for victory. Just as the Patriot was headed up top for the Patriot Missile, Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express snuck up from behind and shoved him off the top turnbuckle. This left the masked man prey for a spin kick from Booker, giving the win to Harlem Heat . Something tells me it won't be long before the FOJ come looking for payback. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Buddy Rose Rose and Tina Ferrari came out to their usual chorus of boos. After that, Bam Bam came out, but then stopped in the aisle , turned back to the locker room, and gave a beckoning motion with his hand. It wasn't long before Roddy Piper came out, making a beeline for Rose, but Bigelow changed his hand to a halting gesture, and Piper stood staring at him in surprise. Bigelow leaned in and whispered something in his ear, Piper seemed to respond agitatedly but Bigelow held him by the shoulders and said something close to his face. Piper stared for a long pause, then nodded and headed back to the locker room. After that strange prologue , the match got down to business. Rose was wily as ever, but the boundless enthusiasm of Bigelow was the real story of the match. The Beast From The East showed incredible quickness during this match, especially for such a big man, and none of the Playboy's tricks were able to slow him down for long. Bigelow hit the slingshot splash, and defeated the former 2 time Pacific Heavyweight champ for the New Jersey Fireball's highest profile victory yet. Barry Windham vs. Brian Lee Windham and Lee have been going at it fist and fire ever since the Bulldozer abandoned Barry and the rest of the Brigade. These two tore into each other with a fury born of resentment and betrayal. Lee, for his part, has continued to take a hard line with his opponents since joining the Playboy Club, much like the Suicide Blondes. Windham was able to keep Lee from hitting the Prime Time Slam, but in turn, Lee was able to dodge the Western Lariat. Windham was finally able to catch Lee in a Waistlock Suplex to just barely hold him down for a three count, but even after the bell, Lee blindsided Windham with a forearm smash to the back of the head. He was soon joined by Scotty The Body and the Suicide Blondes, to put the boots to Windham, but Billy Gunn and the Thrillseekers quickly came out to run them off. It seems the well of resentment runs deep with Brian Lee. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Dragon Azul © vs. Erin O'Grady Since its inception, the Pacific Light Heavyweight Title has been setting the standard for hot action and classic matches. Dragon Azul has been having an incredible title run, with plenty of great matches against top flight opponents. The Leprechaun proved to be quite a handful for the masked star, and the match was all go from the opening bell. After a tightly contested bout, Dragon pinned O'Grady with a flying victory roll, continuing his run of great title defenses. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) © vs. The Midnight Express In their time on the West Coast, the Midnight Express have held both the Pacific and Golden State Tag Team Titles multiple times. Undoubtably the most decorated tag team in PCW history, Jim Cornette's men have earned a shot at another run with the belts , and they were looking to make the most of it. All of their tricks, combination moves, and double team tactics came into play as they did all they could to get back the belts they have always seen as theirs. The champs fought back with a steely determination, forged in the fires of a brutally tough title reign. Cornette seemed to feel that his men needed just one last touch to put it over the top, and got set to toss in his loaded tennis racquet. He was startled to have his hand be grabbed by Sgt. Slaughter, with the Patriot and the Eagle in tow, all clearly unimpressed by his earlier interference in the Force Of July's match. Cornette's panicking at ringside caused a lapse in concentration for the Midnight Express, and Lane was caught by Sasuke with an Iponzei. This was swiftly followed by a Strangle Hold Gamma which forced Lane to tap out. Cornette and the MX are finding out that actions have consequences. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Steve Williams (with Ted Dibiase) At the end of two big nights of action, at last came the main event. Ricky Steamboat had been running the gauntlet of the heavy hitters from the Terror Collective, but was facing perhaps the biggest gun of them all. Doctor Death has been destroying everyone in his path, and was looking at the Dragon as though he was a particularly tempting snack. Steamboat was looking, well, not afraid, but definitely with considerable concern and apprehension. The moment the bell rang, Williams exploded out of the blocks and charged at Steamboat. Steamboat had this spotted and dodged out of the way. This continued for a while, with Steamboat acting the matador to Williams' enraged bull. Steamboat's luck ran out when Williams caught him with a clothesline and bowled him over. Williams then laid in some brutal shots at the champ before some crushing slams and throws. Steamboat was able to fight his way back, but seemed to be on the back foot for much of this match. He did all he could to wear Williams down, but Doctor Death seemed to have a lot in the tank. Williams went for the kill when he got Steamboat set for an Oklahoma Stampede into the turnbuckle, but at the last second, the champ escaped with a slide down and Williams went chest first into the corner. Steamboat then used Williams momentum to get him over for a belly to back suplex, but could only keep him down for a two count. He then started blistering him with chops, and by this point, Williams was clearly groggy. Steamboat then got him down with a running face slam into the mat, and ascended to the top turnbuckle. He had enough time to give a hard stare to Williams, then came off the top with a diving cross body press. One … two … THREE!!! Steamboat had pulled it off and survived his sternest test yet. He didn't have long to celebrate, though. Ted Dibiase, who had been at ringside for the whole match, came in the ring, checked on Williams, then confidently walked over to Steamboat. He pointed to Steamboat, then pointed to himself. He then pointed at the Pacific Title belt, then pointed to his own waist. He collected Williams and walked back to the locker room. It looks like, sooner rather than later, Steamboat is going to have to contend with the Man Of Means .

Pacific Coast Wrestling Aloha Spectacular 1990 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Night One Pacific Trios Title Match : The Money Train (Jason Jett, Chris Hamrick & David Cash) © vs. The Hollywood Heartbreakers (Jimmy Del Ray, Big Vito Lograsso & Billy Black) The first PCW Mega Show of 1990 kicks off with a title match of the newly emerging Trios Division. The Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers have been exciting fans up and down the coast with some fast paced bouts, and certainly pulled out all the stops and the big moves. Del Ray very nearly got the win with a running legdrop on Hamrick, but Jett broke up the pin and hit the Crash Landing (rolling release suplex) to get the win. One can expect big things from both of these teams in 1990. Big Bully Busick & Shane Douglas vs. Dean Malenko & Eddie Guerrero From the moment they formed, the Hexagon swiftly made a name for themselves as one of the most dangerous young groups in PCW. They have scored a fair number of high profile victories, including over their sworn enemies in the Citadel. Despite this success, Big Bully Busick has proved to be a nut that they have struggled to crack. The Man From Powerhouse Hill has rallied the Citadel and has held back the time of the Hexagon. Malenko and Guerrero did their best to get some sort of advantage over the Citadel, with Guerrero focusing on trying to keep Douglas in the ring while Malenko sharpshooting on Busick's legs to try and weaken him. It was all for naught, as Douglas was able to make a hot tag and Busick taking Guerrero out with the Bully Breaker (Hangman neckbreaker) for the win. A furious Sinister Minister was muttering something to Guerrero and Malenko on the way to the back, and they were scowling and nodding their heads. Something tells me that the Hexagon are going to go to drastic measures. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. The Blood Syndicate (Genichiro Tenryu & Masahiro Chono) Iron & Steel have been steadily rising in the PCW Tag Team rankings ever since their return, scoring a series of high profile victories over tough competition. Tonight would be their fiercest opposition yet, taking on the Japanese legend Tenryu and his pupil Chono. The duo from Japan gave Iron & Steel a number of close calls, but Atlas and Cameron were able to pull out the win with a Spike Piledriver on Chono. It won't be long until Iron & Steel get in solid title contention. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Fit Finlay Since his arrival on the West Coast, Sarge has been focused on backing up his allies in the Force Of July for their feud with the Midnight Express. Tonight, however, he would square off an opponent who may well be as tough as the Marine DI. The Fighting Irishman went all out against Sgt. Slaughter, and the fists were flying throughout this match. Both men were a bloody mess at the end of this match, but Slaughter was able to connect with the Slaughter Cannon to pull out the win. Just goes to show, never bet against the Real American Hero. Stormfront (Al Snow & Jerry Lynn) vs. The Lightning Kid & Rob Zakowski Lightning Kid and Zakowski were the first to appear as members of the Hexagon on New Year's Day, and they have been lighting up arenas ever since, especially in matches with Stormfront. Both sides thrilled the crowd with their high flying action, culminating in Lightning Kid pinning Lynn following a mooonsault body press. These four young men are setting a new standard for high action matches. Bret Hart vs. Terry Gordy It didn't take long for this straightforward feud to boil over into a raging inferno of hatred. Early on, Bret busted Gordy open with an elbow to the face, which caused Gordy to see red, literally and figuratively. Gordy dragged Bret to the outside and drove him face first into a corner post, so the claret was flowing with both men. The two kept tearing at each other until they were both a bloody mess, leaving the ref with no choice to declare a no contest. Both wanted to keep going, and it took Bam Bam Bigelow and Ted Dibiase to keep the two apart and back to the locker room. No way is this the last we see of these two facing each other. Steve Austin vs. Chris Adams "Stunning" Steve has had a target on his blonde head ever since cutting ties with the Diamond Exchange. His most persistent pursuer has been the "English Gentleman" Chris Adams, who has been relentless in attacking the young Texan, determined to get the proverbial pound of flesh for Diamond Dallas Page. Adams went after Austin hard, but Stunning Steve used his considerable athleticism to keep one step ahead. Austin was able to dodge an attempted Superkick and counter with a rollup for a 2 count. He then followed up with the Stun Gun, but before he could go for the cover, DDP jumped on the ring apron and clobbered him with his diamond handled cane. This didn't do much more than annoy Austin, but as he grabbed Page, he was ambushed from behind by Mike Awesome, appearing out of nowhere. Awesome hit a crushing Awesome Bomb, and he , Adams and DDP continued to attack the prone Austin until Pierre Carl Ouellet charged in with a chair to run them off. Looks like the war with the Diamond Exchange is about to ascend to a new level. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. Dennis Condrey Regal has an incredible run as California Champion, seeing off a host of top rank challengers with his head held high. One challenger who just won't go away is "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey. Jim Cornette has been persistent in getting his man's title shot and focused on brining gold back to Camp Cornette. Interestingly, Cornette was relatively hands off in this match, constantly nattering at ringside but otherwise remaining uninvolved in the action. Condrey let his actions speak for themselves , putting in a ferocious challenge to the English Lion. Regal had faced the veteran before, but this seemed to be his most focused challenge yet, resulting in a gripping match. Regal tried to put him away with the Regal Plex, but was too close to the ropes, and Condrey was able to grab them to block the move. Quick as a flash, he turned it around into the Full Nelson Facebuster, and just like that, it was all over. Condrey was now California champ, and Jim Cornette was ecstatic. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) © vs. Coast 2 Coast (John Tatum & Jack Victory) No doubt about it, these two sides utterly despise each other. Trisa Hayes was giving John Tatum a particularly acidic look at Tatum while the teams faced each other before the opening bell, but once that bell rang, it was game on. The Dreamboats at least tried to make a semblance of a sporting match, using their quick tags to try to befuddle the former Pacific Tag Champs. Coast 2 Coast instead went with a strategy of cheat, cheat, and if that doesn't work, cheat some more. The challengers thought the titles would be theirs when Victory held Shane for Tatum to hit the California Kick. Shane was able to dodge out of the way and Victory was just barely able to catch Tatum's foot to avoid being kicked. However, this left Tatum vulnerable to being rolled up by Dreamer while Shane held off Victory, and this got the champs the victory. It took a lot of work , but the Dreamboats were able to hold onto their titles. Pacific Television Title Match : Shinya Hashimoto © vs. Scotty The Body Hashimoto has had a long and incredible TV title reign, one which Scotty The Body has set out to end. Scotty was able to use his guile and speed to keep in the match, but he wasn't really able to make much of a dent in the Japanese star. That took a drastic turn as Tina Ferrari took matters into her own hands, yanking down the top rope as Hashimoto was running, sending him tumbling out of the ring. Scotty took immediate advantage, tossing Hashimoto into the corner post and the barricades before bringing him back into the ring. Scotty had the upper hand for a while before Hashimoto. Hash started lacing into Scotty with kicks, and it looked like he would keep the title reign going for a big longer, but Scotty nailed him with a low blow kick, cutting the comeback short. He swiftly hit the Body Shot (DDT), and the ref counted to three. Night One closed out with a new champion. Lets see what Night Two brings.

Yeah, I agree. I have wanted to add it for a while but got ahead in my writing, so ended up cramming it in before Aloha Spectacular. Sorry about that.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Show from the UCSB Event Center, Santa Barbara, February 23rd Bret Hart vs. David Young After their match a few weeks ago was interrupted by interference from Terry Gordy, these two got another shot at each other in a singles bout. Young did incredibly well for himself against the Hitman until he was finally forced to submit to the Sharpshooter. Hart was looking at Young with a new respect and even shook his hand after the match. Toshiaki Kawada vs. Chris Adams A duel of high impact kicks went to Adams knocking out Kawada with a Superkick to the jaw. Al Snow vs. Terry Gordy Snow did all he could, but the former Freebird squashed him with a Power Bomb. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Big Vito Lograsso Sarge took on another of Jim Cornette's men, and while Big Vito hit hard and didn't go down easily, he did jo down to a brutal Slaughter Cannon. Pacific Submission Title Match : Dean Malenko © vs. Masahiro Chono The Iceman and the Steel Machine went to a 20 minute time limit draw. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Dragon Azul © vs. Jerry Lynn The night closed with another great Light Heavyweight Title bout, with Dragon holding off Lynn with a Dragon Suplex.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, February 22nd Barry Windham & The Thrillseekers vs. Brian Lee & The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) Windham and the Thrillseekers continued to work well together , with Storm tripping Spicolli to set him up for a Western Lariat from Windham for the victory. Kensuke Saski vs. Scotty The Body Scotty once again drew on the distraction and interference and guile of Tina Ferrari to leave Sasaki vulnerable to the Body Shot (DDT). Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Genichiro Tenryu The fast rising New Jersey Fireball took on the Japanese legend, resulting in a romping stomping match with both men slugging it out on the outside and a double countout finish. California Title Match : Seven Regal © vs. Fit Finlay Just one week away from his defense against Dennis Condrey, Regal was able to withstand the offense of the Belfast Bruiser and put him down with the Regal Plex. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) © vs. The Lightning Kid & Rob Zakowski A high speed title match came to a confusing end when the Lightning Kid went for a somersault plancha over the ropes to Shane on the outside, only to miss and crash land on the concrete, knocking himself out. A confused Zakowski was then easy prey for the Tomikaze by Dreamer, leading to a successful defense by the Dreamboats. Zakowski and the Sinister Minister wound up helping Lightning to the back. Pacific Heavyweight Title : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Gary Albright These two went to a time limit draw a few weeks ago in Vancouver. This time out, Albright was clearly going for the kill. The OWC member was ruthless, with brutal suplexes and attempted submissions. Steamboat played a waiting game, letting Albright wear himself out before launching his own attacks, focusing on Albright's knee. This left him vulnerable for a Diving Cross Body Press and score a hard fought pinfall.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, February 21st Coast 2 Coast (John Tatum & Jack Victory) vs. Willard Smith & James Miller It has not been long since Coast 2 Coast returned to PCW, but they wasted no time in rocketing up the rankings, earning a shot at the Golden State Tag Titles. Barred from interacting with the Dreamboats until Aloha Spectacular or risk losing their jobs, Tatum and Victory took out their anger on the two rookies. They gave a serious drubbing to the opposition until putting an end to things with the Coastal Crunch (high angle belly to back suplex by Victory into a Bionic Elbow Drop by Tatum) on Freeman. With all of the big matches coming to Aloha Spectacular, the Golden State Tag Title match is becoming the most anticipated. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. The Blood Syndicate (Genichiro Tenryu & Masahiro Chono) Iron & Steel have blazed a trail on the West Coast, becoming one of the most feared and, oddly, one of the most popular teams in PCW. They were facing perhaps their sternest test in the Japanese legend Tenryu and his fierce protégé Chono. This was an incredibly close match, with both teams giving it their all, but Cameron was able to land the Harlem Hammer (running double axe handle to the back of the head) on Chono and get the win. It won't be too long before Iron & Steel get in the championship picture. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring (Steve Austin) Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest has been tearing up the ring with his feud with the Diamond Exchange … "Stunning" Steve Austin! The fans explode in cheers as Austin stalks out to the ring, ignoring them all the way. Interestingly, he is accompanied by Pierre Carl Ouellette, who is just as focused. Coss : Steve, I admit to being a bit surprised. Just a few weeks ago, you were declining an invitation to join the Brigade, saying you were your own man. But you've been teaming a lot with Pierre Carl Ouellette lately, and here he is at your side for this interview. What gives? Austin : That's why I asked for this interview, Coss. I've been hearing similar rumblings in the locker room, asking why. Well, I don't feel I owe anyone an explanation, but I will tell why just to get some peace and quiet. The Brigade are good guys, and their invitation was flattering, sure. But I am not a joiner anymore, don't think I ever really was. I am going to walk my own path. But the hard fact is that, just because I am walking my own path doesn't mean I am always going to do it alone, especially with the Diamond Exchange holding a four to one advantage over me … four and a half if you count Page. I'm independent, but I'm not an idiot. PCO here is a good buddy, always a fun time to go out for beer, nachos, ribs and hellraising. He hates the Diamond Exchange as much as I do, so it’s the smart thing to watch each other's backs when our interests coincide. But at the end of the day, he goes about his business and I go about mine. The same goes for Regal, Iron & Steel, or anyone else who teams up with us. I just need them there until the end of the match. PCO : Steve is right. I give him respect, and he gives it back to me. As long as that gives me a shot at Chris Adams and Diamond Dallas Page, that's plenty enough for me. Steve Williams vs. Jeff Wilson With his shot at Ricky Steamboat's Pacific Heavyweight Title coming up next week, Doctor Death looked to be trying to put a scare into the Dragon. He folded, spindled and mutilated poor Wilson with crushing power moves, even power slamming him into the corner before finally putting him away with the Oklahoma Stampede. If Steamboat wasn't concerned about Williams coming for his title before, he certainly should be now. Four Corner Elimination Match for the Pacific Trios Titles : Stormfront (Al Snow & Jerry Lynn) & Steve Blackman vs. Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr vs. The Money Train (Jason Jett, Chris Hamrick & David Cash) vs. The Hollywood Heartbreakers (Jimmy Del Ray, Big Vito Lograsso & Billy Black) Years ago, Pacific Coast Wrestling added the Pacific Light Heavyweight Title to its list of titles. Since then, there have been plentiful sensational Light Heavyweight Title bouts, many of them headlining shows and always leaving the fans thrilled. Similarly, with an increase of submission specialists to the roster, the addition of the Pacific Submission Title has also resulted in some truly gripping matches. With this in mind, and the influx of three man factions and intense action in their matches, PCW has added the Pacific Trios Titles and signed this Four Corner Elimination Match to declare the inaugural champs. Living up to the high expectations , this match was an absolute thrill ride, with all four sides breaking out their big moves. After a long series of exchanges and rapid fire tags, the Citadel drew first blood, with Blackman knocking out Malenko coming off the ropes with the Running Bicycle Kick. After more breathtaking action, Billy Black landed a running Bombs Away kneedrop on Snow , bringing it down to two teams left. It was now down to the Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers, who had been having incredible matches with each other since their arrival in PCW. They put on another sensational bout until David Cash was finally able to put down Jimmy Del Ray with the Money Maker (double underhook piledriver) to get the final fall. The Money Train were now the Pacific Trios Champs and we can be certainly they will bring honor and glory to the new titles.

A Classic. Loved him in all those Michi Pro multi man matches, showing the youngsters how it is done.

Gypsy Joe vs the Cuban Assassin means blood and chaos.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, February 16th Tommy Dreamer vs. Scotty The Body These two young rivals clashed again, with Scotty pinning Tommy following the Body Shot (DDT). Bret Hart & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Terry Gordy & Ted Dibiase Bret was so focused on defeating Gordy that he didn't spot Dibiase sneaking up behind him. The Man Of Means jacked Hart in the back of the head with his loaded black glove, allowing Gordy to pin the Hitman following a big elbow drop. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Dragon Azul © vs. David Cash Dragon continued to take on all challengers, facing "Cash Flow" David Cash in an incredibly exciting bout. The two had a fast paced match before the champ got the win with a flying Victory Roll. Sgt. Slaughter & The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. Dennis Condrey & The Midnight Express Another heated bout between the two groups, with Sarge pinning Eaton following the Slaughter Cannon. Pacific Submission Title Match : Dean Malenko © vs. Steve Blackman Blackman was perhaps his most fierce that he has been in a long time, and Malenko showed what could pass for concern on his face. The two wound up going to a 20 minute draw, allowing Malenko to keep his grip on his title. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. Eddie Guerrero The night closed out with an incredible California Title match. Guerrero seemed to have it all wrapped up when he went up top for the Frog Splash. Regal got his knees up in time, and once the agonized Guerrero was back on his feet, Regal executed a Floating Butterfly Suplex for a remarkable victory.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, February 15th Barry Windham & The Thrillseekers vs. Brian Lee & The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) Last week, Windham was able to work with the Thrillseekers to get over the contingent from the Playboy Club. They continued to work well together in this match, but a mistimed move by Jericho left him vulnerable to the Prime Time Slam from Brian Lee, giving the pinfall to the Bulldozer. Even then, Lee and the Blondes tried to get in more shots on Jericho and Storm after the match, but with Windham standing in front of them like an angry bear, they thought better of it. Jason Jett & Chris Hamrick vs. Big Vito Lograsso & Billy Black Both sides were looking to come back after losses the night before, and neither was about to give an inch. The result was a fierce battle that went to a 15 minute time limit draw. Steve Austin, Pierre Carl Ouellet & Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. Chris Adams, Mike Awesome & Harlem Heat Austin and Ouellet knew they were going to need more help if they were going to have to keep on facing a full complement of the Diamond Exchange. The got impressive backup indeed in the form of Iron & Steel. Atlas and Cameron seemed particularly incensed at the new team of Harlem Heat encroaching in what they see as their territory, and the result was a crazy brawl with a piledriver from Atlas on Booker T getting the decision. Pacific Television Title Match : Shinya Hashimoto © vs. Jimmy Del Ray Jim Cornette is dead set on getting his men some gold, and is throwing the Gigolo into the fray against the TV champ. Del Ray certainly proved his worth by tricking Hash into a number of near falls, but the always tough Japanese star prevailed with a spin kick to the head. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) © vs. Coast 2 Coast (John Tatum & Jack Victory) Coast 2 Coast were going all out to regain the titles that they once held, but their previous actions came to haunt them as Tommy Dreamer and Glamour Boy Shane, still battered from their attack the night before, rushed out to attack them. This led to a DQ finish, and the only way the brawl between the two teams got cooled down was from an appearance by Commissioner Dutch Savage. Savage told them that they could save their aggression for the ring, as he was signing a Golden State Tag Team Title Match between the two teams for Aloha Spectacular. He added that, if the two teams didn't stay out of each other's way until then, both teams would find themselves on the unemployment line. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Buddy Rose Rose earned himself a second chance to regain the Pacific Heavyweight Title, and he certainly seemed to want to make the most of it. He went all out against the Dragon, and at points seemed terrifyingly close to wearing gold once more. It all came crashing down when he went for a running elbow smash in the corner, only for Steamboat to dodge out of the way at the last second. Steamboat then caught Rose in a double leg cradle to remain champion.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, February 14th Stormfront (Al Snow & Jerry Lynn) vs. Big Vito Lograsso & Billy Black The new version of Stormfront had a bit of a bumpy ride at first, but are truly starting to gel as a team. The Hollywood Heartbreakers duo of Lograsso and Black were aggressive, as one would expect of wrestlers managed by Jim Cornette. But Stormfront came back hard with some double team moves, finally putting down Black with the Storm Warning (modified double Flapjack that drives the opponent down onto his head). Stormfront are coming back hard, and the Hexagon had best watch out. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Brady Finta The arrival of Sgt. Slaughter was one of the biggest shocks of the New Years Day Celebration. Thus far, he has mostly been a leader and partner for the Force Of July. The hard nosed DI proved to be just as credible as a singles competitor, easily dispatching Finta by forcing him to tap out to the Cobra Clutch. Jim Cornette is going to need to pull out every trick in the book to counteract the patriotic veteran. Big Bully Busick & Shane Douglas vs. The Lightning Kid & Rob Zakowski Last week, the Citadel struck a major blow in their war with the Hexagon as Busick and Douglas defeated Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero. The Sinister Minister was eager for vengeance, immediately sending out the rookie duo of Lightning and Zakowski. They were relentless, focusing their attack on Busick, but that just meant that Douglas was always free to back up his friend. The Hexagon were so focused it led them into disaster, as Lightning ran right into the Bully Breaker (hangman neckbreaker) and a pinfall. The Man From Powerhouse Hill is proving to be the difference maker in the Citadel turning the tide against the Hexagon. Steve Austin & Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Harlem Heat These two sides clashed last week in Eugene, with Harlem Heat stealing the win after a sneak attack by Chris Adams. The Diamond Exchange tried the same tactic again, but Austin and PCO were anticipating that. Adams was intercepted by PCO hitting a somersault dive off the ring apron, which caught Harlem Heat off guard enough for a Stun Gun from Austin to get the pinfall on Stevie Ray. Austin and Ouellet are catching on to the Diamond Exchange's tricks, but that doesn't change the fact that they are outnumbered. Steve Williams vs. Glamour Boy Shane Doctor Death has been on an absolute rampage through PCW, but Glamour Boy Shane bravely stepped into the line of fire. He did his best to hold off Williams assault, but things took a seedier turn when John Tatum and Jack Victory showed up at ringside and started hassling Trisa Hayes. Hayes wanted nothing to do with them, but Tatum's harassment grew so unbearable that she slapped his face. This enraged Tatum, who grabbed her hand and started screaming in her face. Tommy Dreamer rushed out to come to her defense , but he was facing Coast 2 Coast two on one. This led to a lapse in concentration by Shane , resulting in Williams flattening him with a clothesline and crushing him with a scoop powerslam for the win. Tatum and Victory continued their beatdown on Dreamer until PCW security came out and caused them to flee back to the locker room. Coast 2 Coast may be back, but they certainly aren't making any friends. The Money Train (Jason Jett, Chris Hamrick & David Cash) vs. Dennis Condrey & The Midnight Express Since their arrival in PCW, the Money Train's path has been entwined with that of the Hollywood Heartbreakers, but tonight, they would face Jim Cornette's senior squad. The Money Train were able to land some impressive moves on the Midnights, but when Cornette's men kicked into gear, they kept the match firmly in hand. Hamrick did try to take out Lane with a Frankenhamrick, but he was too close to the ropes, and Eaton grabbed him by the hair from the ring apron and dropped him down throat first on the top rope. He then went up top and hit a diving kneedrop on Hamrick for the win. Just goes to show that you can never take the Midnight Express for granted.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, February 9th Steve Austin & Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Harlem Heat Austin and Ouellet held their own against DDP's new duo until Chris Adams took advantage of a ref distraction and snuck in the ring , hitting the Superkick on Austin. Booker T covered the felled Stunning Steve and stole the victory for the Diamond Exchange. Stormfront (Al Snow & Jerry Lynn) vs. The Can-Am Express The new iteration of Stormfront pulled off a huge victory when Lynn pinned Lafon following a Cradle Piledriver. Sgt. Slaughter & The Force Of July vs. Dennis Condrey & The Midnight Express This war was a lot for the ref to manage, and Cornette's men eagerly took advantage of this. When the Patriot started heading up to hit the Patriot Missile , Lane clobbered him from behind with Cornette's loaded racquet. Condrey then hit the Full Nelson Facebuster to give the duke to the Midnights. Dan Severn vs. Chris Adams Adams' background in judo and amateur wrestling stood him well against the leader of the Citadel, but it ultimately proved irrelevant when Steve Austin rushed into the ring and attacked him. The ref had no choice but to declare the match a DQ win for Adams. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Dragon Azul © vs. Art Barr Emboldened by his attack on Roddy Piper the night before, Barr went all out against Dragon, who was forced to fight a defensive battle. The champ was able to hold off Barr long enough to go to a 20 minute time limit draw, but you can be certain that the Hexagon member will be wanting another crack at it. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. Rob Zakowski The match closed off with another title match as the English Lion defended against another member of the Hexagon. Regal hasn't ducked anyone in his time as California Champion, and seemed eager to take on this ferocious young contender. Zakowski did managed to execute some spectacular moves on the champ, but Regal held steady, flattening him with a spinning forearm smash before pinning him with the Regal-Plex.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, February 8th David Cash vs. Erin O'Grady Two of the young and rising stars of PCW had a fast paced, high flying match that went to David Cash with the Money Maker (double underhook piledriver) Billy Gunn vs. Scotty The Body Both men were very determined to get one up on the other, and Scotty used some underhanded tactics to gain the advantage. This advantage dissolved when Roddy Piper showed up at ringside and started taunting Tina Ferrari with a broom. This resulted in a shouting match between the two , which provided sufficient distraction that led to Scotty walking right into a Sidewinder (spinning side suplex). The ref made the three count, giving the bout to Gunn. Chris Hamrick vs. The Lightning Kid Another exciting and close match between two rookies, with Lighning Kid coming out on top with the Lightning Strike (Tombstone piledriver). Bret Hart, Shinya Hashimoto & Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Miracle Violence Combination & The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) The Hitman, along with his Japanese friends, went to war with the Terror Collective, and this was a titanic battle indeed. There were some ferocious exchanges between Bret and Gordy, but the decision went to Steve Williams when he flattened Sasaki with the Doctor Bomb. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) © vs. The Hollywood Heartbreakers (Jimmy Del Ray & Billy Black) The Hollywood Heartbreakers were set on making the most of their first tag title shot, and provided a fierce challenge to the Dreamboats before Shane hit the Casting Call (Rocker Dropper) on Black to successfully defend the titles. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Buddy Rose The Playboy played his traditionally wily game to try to regain the title he held multiple times, until, right on schedule, Roddy Piper started sneaking down to ringside. Whatever the Hot Scot had in mind, it was interrupted when he was attacked from behind by the suddenly appearing Art Barr. The two started brawling, and this time, it was Rose who took advantage of the distraction by rolling up Steamboat and using a fistful of trunks as leverage. He nearly stole the title, but Steamboat kicked out just before the ref's hand hit the mat for the third time. Later in the match, however, the action spilled outside the ring. Steamboat had just nearly made it back into the ring by the 10 count, but Rose gabbed his legs, delaying him just enough to cause a double countout result.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN, February 7th Barry Windham & The Thrillseekers vs. Brian Lee & The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) Barry Windham may not have had much luck so far in recruiting new members of the Brigade, but he has slowly but surely rebuilt his reputation with several wins over top level opponents. After a double DQ finish with Brian Lee last week, Windham was determined to immediately give it another shot. For this match, he would be teaming with the upcoming duo of the Thrillseekers, and despite their inexperience, the gelled quite well with the Sweetwater native. They assisted Windham on a slingshot lariat that flattened Candido and gave them the win over the Playboy Club. A major victory that shows that Windham is back on the right track. Jason Jett vs. Dennis Condrey Jim Cornette has gotten his enforcer, Dennis Condrey, a string of shots at various titles, and Condrey has in turned managed a series of hard fought time limit draws. While that is impressive, you know that neither Cornette nor Condrey will be satisfied until there is gold around his waist. He seemed to be making a show of force with young Jason Jett of the Money Train, and while Jett certainly put up a fight, Condry wound up putting him down with authority, hitting the Full Nelson Facebuster to claim the victory. Nicely done, but it remains to be seen if he can seal the deal in a title match. Steve Blackman vs. Big Vito Lograsso Cornette's contract signing efforts don't end with the senior members of his team, as he continues to find high level opponents for his newest acquisitions, the Hollywood Heartbreakers. This time would be a singles match for "The Italian Stallion" Big Vito Lograsso, facing off with "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. A tall order, given that the members of the Citadel have been newly energized by their feud with the Hexagon, but Lograsso was going to give it a go. Vito gave a good accounting of himself, landing some big haymakers on Blackman while Steve fought back with blistering kicks. Lograsso even managed to get Blackman down on the mat and started raining down punches, only for Blackman to turn it around by twisting his arm and trapping him in a Cross Armbreaker. Despite his best efforts, Lograsso could not escape and was forced to tap out. Nonetheless, a good showing for the rookie. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. Brook Geraghty & John Palyok There have been many up and coming teams that have been fighting to make their mark in PCW, but Iron & Steel have been in another league entirely. Ever since their return to the west coast, Atlas and Cameron have been tearing through the opposition, as Geraghty and Palyok discovered to their dismay. Iron & Steel battered and bludgeoned the rookies before Cameron polished off Palyok with the Harlem Hammer (running double axe handle to the back of the head) . Iron & Steel won't be satisfied until they sink their teeth into some top level competition. Shane Douglas & Big Bully Busick vs. Dean Malenko & Eddie Guerrero As mentioned before, the Citadel have been feuding with the Hexagon, and thus far, the Hexagon have generally had the upper hand. Two of the newest members of the Citadel, Douglas and Busick, were still going to give it their best go against two of the most experienced members of the Hexagon. Guerrero and Malenko certainly went all out with a well coordinated attack on the Citadel members. But it didn't take long for Douglas and Busick to find their rhythm, with the Big Bully in particular rocking the Hexagon with big power moves. The Hexagon didn't seem prepared for that, and the Man From Powerhouse Hill crushed Malenko with a Spinebuster Slam as Douglas held off Guerrero, giving the Citadel a major victory. Busick is proving to be possibly the biggest gun in the Citadel's arsenal. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Fit Finlay Bam Bam Bigelow's quest to establish himself as his own man in PCW continues with him taking on one of the toughest men in the territory. The Fighting Irishman really took it to the Best From The East , with both men sporting bloody noses by the end of the match. But the power and athleticism of Bigelow were enough to carry the tide of battle, and Bigelow scored the pinfall with the Slingshot Splash.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, February 2nd David Cash vs. Jimmy Del Ray Another battle between the Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers, this time in singles match. Cash still seemed a bit shaken up from his match with Sabu earlier in the weekend, and despite a game effort on his part, Del Ray came out on top with the Moonsault Body Press. Steve Austin & Pierre Carl Ouellette vs. Chris Adams & Mike Awesome Ouellette came out with a black eye and taped ribs from the assault from Terry Gordy, but that didn't stop him from going fist and fire with the Diamond Exchange. It took a huge Awesome Bomb from Awesome to finally put him down for good. Dan Severn, Steve Blackman & Al Snow vs. Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr The hatred between the Citadel and the Hexagon was palpable in this blistering match. Though the Hexgon got the duke after a Frog Splash from Barr on Snow, both sides kept going after the bell, having to have security come out to separate the two sides. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) © vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) Another successful defense for the Dreamboats, with Dreamer hitting a DDT on Finlay for the win. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. David Young Young is proving himself to be an absolute workhorse, having his second match this weekend against a top level opponent. Regal prevailed, but Young really made him work for it, with the Regal-Plex proving to be the difference maker.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , February 1st Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Zakowski These two young stars in the making had a short but exciting match, with Zakowski coming out on top with the Split Legged Moonsault. Barry Windham vs. Brian Lee These two former teammates had a furious battle that went to a DQ win for Windham after Lee hit the Prime Time Slam on the ref when he tried to get between the two. Sgt. Slaughter & The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. Dennis Condrey & The Midnight Express The war between these two sides raged on as the Eagle hit the Screaming Eagle (top rope missile dropkick) on Lane to give the result to Sarge and the FoJ. Shane Douglas vs. Steve Williams Williams crushed Douglas in dominant fashion with the Oklahoma Stampede. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) © vs. Harlem Heat DDP's new team got their first title shot and presented a tough challenge to the Japanese team, but Phoenix Rising gutted it out and came out on top after Kawada put down Booker T with a Brainbuster. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Gary Albright The members of the Terror Collective have been lining up to take their shots at the champ, and Albright presented a fearsome threat to his title reign, hitting some absolutely jarring suplexes on the Dragon. Steamboat was able to outlast Albright and take the match to a 30 minute time limit draw.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, January 31st The Thrillseekers vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) For the past few weeks, the Thrillseekers have been thrilling the TV fans facing rookie teams, but this would be their first TV match against more experienced opposition. Considerable opposition indeed, as they would be facing two of the newest members of the Playboy Club, and the Blondes were full of dirty tricks that they unleashed against Jericho and Storm. The Thrillseekers were able to outlast Spicolli and Candido, taking down Candido with a double thrust kick for the win. Coast 2 Coast (John Tatum & Jack Victory) vs. Rory Freeman & Jonathan Libby After their shocking return at a house show last weekend, Tatum and Victory are clearly out to maintain the same winning standards they had maintained in their first run in PCW. The former Pacific Tag Team champs eagerly dismantled their opposition, putting down Libby with the Coastal Crunch (bridging back suplex by Victory into a bionic elbow by Tatum). Clearly, they are ravenous to hold gold again. David Cash vs. Sabu It didn't take long after the return of Sabu for him to gain a reputation as the Most Dangerous Man In Wrestling, and it wouldn't be hard to imagine wrestlers quaking in their boots at the thought of facing him. Young David Cash went against that and was quite eager to put his name on the bottom line of a contract, eager to prove himself by facing some top opposition. The Money Train member certainly gave in a sterling effort, refusing to back down and landing some exciting moves against the Bombay Madman. The ferocity of Sabu proved to much to overcome, however, and Sabu got the win after a slingshot somersault legdrop. Despite the loss, Cash was still able to shine in the eyes of the fans. Pierre Carl Ouellette vs. Terry Gordy Gordy finished off 1989 challenging for the Pacific Heavyweight Title, and while he was not able to regain the title he once held in such a dominant fashion, he is still one of the most feared wrestlers in PCW. Pierre Carl Ouellette didn't seem to have gotten that memo, as he took the fight right to the Terror Collective member, even giving him a bloody nose with a hard right cross. This caused Gordy to see red, both literally and figuratively, and he absolutely unloaded on PCO before finishing him off with a piledriver. Gordy's anger was still not abated, and he continued to put the boots to Ouellette until Bret Hart ran out with a chair. Hart managed to catch Gordy with a chair shot across the shoulders before Gordy bailed from the ring, but the former Freebird was clearly fuming as he went back to the locker room. Ouellette refused Harts assistance in getting up, but instead reached out to the ropes and got back to his feet by his own strength. This earned the Fighting French Canadian a high five from Hart and a big cheer from the fans. Jason Jett & Chris Hamrick vs. Big Vito Lograsso & Billy Black Ever since their arrival in Pacific Coast Wrestling, the paths of the Money Train and the Hollywood Heartbreakers have been intertwined. The two groups of young newcomers have had a series of exciting, fast paced matches. The bout went to the Money Train, with Hamrick catching Black in a Frankenhamrick for the victory, but you know this will just drive Jim Cornette's men to go after the Money Train even harder. Pacific Television Title Match : Shinya Hashimoto © vs. The Lightning Kid With all of the new factions and wrestlers showing up on the West Coast, possibly the one that has turned the most heads has been the Hexagon. With their feud with the Citadel and bold in ring style, the Sinister Minister's men have lit up arenas up and down the coast. The Lighting Kid engaged in a brutal showdown of kicks with the TV champ, and while the experience of Hashimoto was too much for the Kid to overcome, the Minnesota native got plenty of his own shots in before going down to the Leaping Spike DDT. A great showing for the Kid, with no doubt many more to come. Bret Hart vs. David Young While he is the youngest member of the Terror Collective, David Young has shown an eagerness to throw himself right into the fray, taking point in many of the Collective's battles. Tonight, he went toe to toe with the beloved Canadian star Bret Hart, and neither men held anything back. Unfortunately, as the match really started to get rolling, Terry Gordy rushed out to the ring and attacked Hart. Gordy was no doubt still stewing over Hart's intervention in his post match beatdown of Pierre Carl Ouellete, and Young joined him in his assault on the Hitman as the ref called for the DQ. Oullette and Shinya Hashimoto charged in to the defense of Hart, and Gordy and Young beat a hasty retreat, but something tells me that this is far from over.
