Amazing first part of the show! Love my man Leo Burke getting such a big win. Anvil is now a singles champ, and in such a classy manner. Can't wait to see what terror Cactus Jack brings to the AWA. David comes out on top in a bloodbath with his family enemy. Bring on the rest of the show!

The Thrillseekers were collectively an awesome and super fun tag team . But yes, about 90% of the charisma was provided by Jericho (give or take 10%).

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, January 5th The Thrillseekers vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) The Thrillseekers took down the Blondes when Jericho pinned Candido following a Lionsault. Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body Scotty scored the win over Lynn with the Body Shot (DDT) The Money Train (Jason Jett, Chris Hamrick, David Cash) vs. The Hollywood Heartbreakers (Jimmy Del Ray, Billy Black & Big Vito Lograsso) Two new trios of wrestlers looking to make a reputation had a wild and fun match. Big Vito came back from his loss earlier in the weekend by pinning Cash with the Elevated DDT. Dan Severn vs. Fit Finlay Two men with Olympic Gold Medals in toughness had a bruising battle. The former Submission champs both fought off all Submission attempts until Severn pinned Finlay with a takeover suplex. Pacific Submission Title Match : Dean Malenko © vs. Steve Blackman Speaking of the Submission Title, Malenko put the title he had recently regained on the line against the Lethal Weapon. After the revelations of the night before, Malenko came out wearing a hooded cloak and accompanied by the Sinister Minister. Despite a considerable effort by Blackman, Malenko forced him to tap out to the Texas Cloverleaf. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Dragon Azul © vs. Eddie Guerrero Like the previous match, Guerrero also came out with the Sinister Minister and a hooded cloak. He put in a ferocious challenge for title, and Dragon definitely had to be on top of his game to keep from being overwhelmed. After an incredibly hot match, Dragon was able to trap Guerrero with a Victory Roll to keep his grip on the title intact. Guerrero still wanted to keep going after Dragon after the match, but the Sinister Minister was able to calm him down and lead him away from the ring.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , January 4th Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. The Can-Am Express The former Pacific Tag Champs the Can-Ams put up quite a fight, but Iron & Steel would not be denied as Atlas pinned Furnas following a mighty piledriver. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Dennis Condrey Sarge won by DQ as the Midnight Express charged the ring to attack him, followed soon by the Force Of July to even the odds. Shane Douglas vs. Ted Dibiase Despite an enthusiastic effort from Douglas, the Man Of Means got the win with a powerslam off the ropes. Bret Hart vs. Terry Gordy The first step in Bret's quest for the Pacific Heavyweight title would be a ferocious battle with the most recent top contender that went to a 20 minute time limit draw. You can bet that we will see these two go at it again. Shinya Hashimoto & Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. Steve Williams & The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) The Terror Collective made their third appearance in a row with a duel with the Japanese side that Williams won in decisive fashion with a running Bombs Away kneedrop on Kawada. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Chris Adams Steamboat closes the show with another great title defense, this time against the English Gentleman (ahem). Adams put in a fierce challenge, but Steamboat dodged under an attempted Superkick and caught him with a single arm rollup to hold his shoulders down for the one two three.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, January 3rd Billy Gunn vs. Brian Lee After the excitement of the New Years Celebration, it was time to get 1990 underway in earnest. Billy Gunn was clearly out to get some payback on Brian Lee after the Bulldozer's betrayal of the Brigade at San Diego Battleground. He would not get it tonight, as Lee kept his cool and fought off every attempt at revenge from the tall cowboy. He did indulge in some showboating that seemed to be directed at his manager, Tina Ferrari, but she ordered him to keep his mind on the match. Lee dutifully polished off Gunn with the Prime Time Slam. The Playboy Club have acquired a considerable asset in the big Bulldozer. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are only one match into their PCW careers, but they have quickly gained a name for themselves as a team to watch … the Thrillseekers! The male fans cheer and the female fans squealed as "Rock America" by Danger Danger played over the Arena PA, signaling the arrival of Chris Jericho and Lance Storm. The Happy Go Lucky duo make their way out to the ring, taking time to high five with fans and taking even more time to give hugs to the ladies at ringside. Coss : Wow, that was quite the reaction. Looks like you have definitely caught the eye of the ladies in the audience. Jericho : Well, it can certainly turn a boy's head, that's for sure. But we hope we can get the respect of all of the fans, as well as the guys in the locker room. We like to have fun, but we can get it done! Storm : You got it, Chris. We know it is easy to take us lightly and think of us as pretty boys. But once we get going in the ring, people will see that we are the real deal. We know it's a big mountain, and we are right at the foot of it, but we are going to climb up to the summit! Pike's Peak or bust! Jericho : Space Mountain , baby! Storm : Dude! That's been taken! Coss : Errrr, so , what are your immediate plans in PCW? Jericho : Simple, Simon! Catch the eyes of the fans … check! Make Canada proud … working on it! And once we've done that … Together : We're gonna Rock America! The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) While the Thrillseekers have definitely gotten off to a good start, possibly the biggest buzz among the fans has been around the return of the Force Of July. During their first run on the West Coast, the patriotic duo were much beloved, and seemed on the verge of great things when the sudden departure of the Patriot put and end to that. With the Patriot back in the fold, they are looking to pick up where they left off, and even the Canadian fans were psyched to welcome back the All American duo. Their new friend Sgt. Slaughter was at ringside for this match as they took on the Fighting Irish, and while the pugnacious duo certainly gave them quite a fight, a double flying shoulder block by the Eagle and the Patriot gave them the victory in their first match back. You can bet this duo are looking to get on the fast track to some gold. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest is a true Canadian wrestling legend … Bret "The Hitman" Hart! The fans immediately start cheering themselves hoarse for their fellow Canadian. Bret slaps palms with the fans along the way to the ring, but has a very serious look on his face. Hart : Thanks for the warm greeting, Don, but I wouldn't be so quick with the "Legend" talk. I am, after all, only in my early thirties. Coss : I think you are being too modest, Bret. You've accomplished a lot in your career. A lot of people are talking about your New Years Day match with Ricky Steamboat as an all time classic. Hart : Kind of you to say that, Don, but I actually wanted to talk about that match. Ricky is a great guy and one of the most incredible wrestlers ever. He is a true legend, and it was an honour to challenge him for the title. I am certainly proud of the match we had. But here's the thing … I lost. I don't have that Pacific Heavyweight Title around my waist. Seems like it has become a bit of a New Years Day tradition : The Hitman challenging for the title … and losing. Well, that tradition is going to end. You see, I've accomplished a lot in my time in PCW, but there has been one thing that has eluded me : the Pacific Heavyweight Title. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. So I am making this vow … by the end of 1990, I will be Heavyweight champion! Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. John Raymond Another Canadian favorite made his return at the New Years Day Celebration. The rough and ready French Canadian Pierre Carl Ouellet had gone to a wild double countout with Chris Adams, and showed himself to be jut as rugged in this match, battering Raymond before taking him out with the Flying Cannonball. PCO is certainly going to bring a lot of excitement to the West Coast. Al Snow , Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko vs. The Hexagon (Art Barr, The Lightning Kid & Rob Zakowski) This match was the result of events at the New Years Day Celebration. When the Lightning Kid and Rob Zakowski attacked Al Snow during his match with Art Barr, Snow was quick to demand a six man tag team match with the three members of the Hexagon. Barr, Lightning and Zakowski all wore hooded cloaks to the ring, and the Sinister Minister loudly cackled as they took them off before the match. Guerrero and Malenko, who had come to Snow's rescue on New Years Day, were standing by his side for this match. Actually, standing was pretty much all they ever did. They seemed much more reluctant to help him this time out, staying on the ring apron for most of the match and only begrudgingly tagging in before tagging out almost as soon as they were in. The meaning was soon revealed as the Sinister Minister dramatically raised his hand and snapped his fingers. This proved to be the cue for Guerrero and Malenko to rush into the ring and attack Snow. The whole thing was an elaborate setup to arrange a five on one beatdown of Snow. They got some good shots in on them until Dan Severn and Steve Blackman rushed out with chairs to clear the ring. Although he had taken quite a beating, Snow was clearly furious as his friends helped him to his feet. As he led the Hexagon to the back, the Sinister Minister took a dramatic pause , then held up his hand with five fingers extended. He waited a moment … then shook his head. Steve Austin vs. Big Vito Lograsso Much like his last match, Austin initially came out alone, but Diamond Dallas Page came out part way through and started barking orders. Once again, Austin told Page to return to the locker room, but the tone between the two of them was much more argumentative this time. Eventually, DDP relented and Austin got on with the business of the match. His opponent, Big Vito, was one of Jim Cornette's newest recruits, and was eager to make a name for himself by beating the fast rising Stunning Steve. Vito proved his mettle by going toe to toe with Austin, but made a fatal error by rushing right into the Stun Gun. Austin got the win, but all is clearly not well with him and DDP. Barry Windham vs. Masahiro Chono The evening closed with Barry Windham, fresh off his big win over Genichiro Tenryu, facing the other half of the Blood Syndicate. As can be imagined, the was a very big impact match, with Windham's jarring suplexes and slams being countered with Chono's hard kicks and his submission attempts. Windham was able to catch himself on the ropes to avoid a Yakuza kick, then come roaring out of the blocks with a Western Lariat that levelled Chono and got him the victory. A victory that shows that Windham is definitely on the comeback trail.

Pacific Coast Wrestling New Years Day Celebration from the Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton, Alberta The Thrillseekers vs. B. B. Andersen & Dirk Been It's a new year and a whole new look for Pacific Coast Wrestling. The promotion has always heavily invested in up and coming young talent, and there was much interest already in the duo of Chris Jericho and Lance Storm. While "Rock America" by Danger Danger played over the arena PA, the boisterous but good natured duo made their way to ring, eagerly high fiving the fans along the way. Almost immediately, they justified the hype, dazzling the fans with their flashy offense, finishing off Been with an incredible double top rope dropkick. It looks like the crowded PCW tag division have gained a pair of hot new contenders. Pierre Carl Ouellette vs. Chris Adams In something of a surprise, Pierre Carl Ouellette makes his return to PCW, looking to pick up where he left off. Adams, right off running Flyin' Brian Pillman out of the promotion, was caught off guard by the intensity of Ouellette's attack, and no amount of dirty tricks looked like it was going to slow the Fighting French-Canadian down. Adams was forced to take it outside, leading to a double countout as they slugged it out at ringside. Ouellette is back and not about to take a back seat to anyone. The Money Train (Jason Jett, Chris Hamrick & David Cash) vs. Joel Klug, Kel Gleason & Mitchell Olson The next match had another keenly awaited debut from a group of promising rookies. Coming out to "For The Love Of Money" by the O'Jays, the Money Train was a flashy but friendly trio consisting of "Easy Money" Jason Jett, "Confederate Currency" Chris Hamrick and "Cash Flow" David Cash. The came in hot out of the gate, with thrilling combination move, including a double springboard dropkick from Hamrick and Cash on Olson. This left Jett to put a close to the match with the Jettstream (Tombstone Piledriver) on Klug. PCW is certainly starting off 1990 with a bang. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) What a turn around 1989 turned out to be for Iron & Steel. They started out as one of the most despised teams in PCW, they finished the year with the fans starting to rally behind them, without compromising their rough and tough style . The crowd cheered their every move as they battled the Irish team, who fired back with equal fury. It took the full power from Cameron of the Harlem Hammer (running double axe handle to the back of the head) to put down Finlay. Iron & Steel look to be using the new year as their chance to break the promotion wide open. Steve Austin vs. Masahiro Chono After epic war with Bret Hart that waged across 1989, Austin seems to be looking at the new year as his chance to make a fresh new start. To that end, he came out to the ring alone, although Diamond Dallas Page did show up at ringside part way through the match. Austin actually paused the match to tell Page to go back to the locker room while Chono waited patiently. DDP looked confused but ultimately obliged and Austin got back to the match. As one can imagine, this was an intense match that went to Austin when he caught Chono coming off the ropes with the Stun Gun. A big win, but what does this mean for the relationship between Austin and DDP? ??, ?? & ?? vs. Bob Johnson, Jeff Varner & Carl Billancione There was a buzz going through the ground, who were wondering who the mystery trio would be, but that soon turned to grumbles as Jim Cornette sauntered out to the ring. He was accompanied by Stan Lane, Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, but they were wearing workout clothes rather than ring gear, and did not look about to wrestle a match. Inevitably, Cornette took the ringside microphone. Cornette : Ahem! I feel I need to address something that happened earlier. Who on earth do the Money Train think they are? They are an express train straight to Chapter 11! You are looking at the greatest trio in all of wrestling! No need for that ingrate Nick Busick … Loverboy Dennis, Sweet Stan and Beautiful Bobby are all that is required to get the job done. That said, even something as great as the Midnight Express can be made even better. So I asked myself, what could possibly be better than a world class wrestling trio? TWO world class wrestling trios! A new team combining a former PCW tag team champ with two young stars with unlimited potential. So allow me to introduce the OTHER wrestling trio of the future … "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray … "The Italian Stallion" Big Vito Lograsso … "The Redneck Casanova" Billy Black … the Hollywood Heartbreakers! With that proclamation, the Hollywood Heartbreakers headed out to the ring, and the three men could not have been more different. Del Ray was doing an , umm, interesting bump and grind , Lograsso was puffing his chest out and boasting, and Black was scowling and eerily silent. But despite their seeming differences, it all came together in the ring. They may be a new team, but they worked in synch like they had been teaming their whole lives. The more experienced Del Ray expertly set up Lograsso's brawling and powermoves, and Black got the win with a breathtaking moonsault. They may be working for the always controversial Cornette, but the Hollywood Heartbreakers have made a huge impression in their first appearance. Cornette once more grabbed the ringside microphone and strode with his men to the centre of the ring. Cornette : There you have it, folks! I promised, and as always, I delivered. The two most dominant trios in all of wrestling, and no one will ever … what? Cornette is cut off as the microphone goes out and the arena lights go down. The arena PA started playing a marching band rendition of the US Marine Corps Hymn and a spotlight went to the entrance way to the ring. It was Sgt. Slaughter! The patriotic legend had never appeared in PCW before, but here he was, large as life. The held up his hand , then pointed to his left. Another spotlight went on, showing the Eagle! Alone since his partner, Vic Steamboat, had been let go from PCW, and now seemed to have allied himself with Slaughter. Sarge held his hand up one more time, then pointed to his right. A thirds spotlight came on …. IT WAS THE PATRIOT! The crowd exploded in cheers, while the spotlights' reflection could catch Cornette and his men panicking in the ring. The Force Of July had reunited, joining up with the All American hero! The three men saluted the audience, then the spotlights went out and they disappeared into the darkness. Billy Gunn vs. Mike Awesome Billy Gunn had an up and down rookie year during 1989. He made a strong impression and gained the favor of the fans, but ended up as one of the last remaining members of the Brigade after their betrayal at the hands of Brian Lee. Gunn was not about to show any fear and boldly took on one of the most fearsome opponents in PCW. Mike Awesome tore through the PCW ranks like a cleaver, easily dominating his opposition and sending Scott Hall packing from the promotion. Oddly, he was not accompanied for this match by Tina Ferrari but rather Diamond Dallas Page. DDP was even more cocksure than usual, understandable given his new acquisition. But Gunn was not about to take a backwards step, and held his ground against the big man. Awesome seemed to be caught off guard by the resistance, and the more Awesome poured it on, the more intensely Gunn fought back. Awesome was able to catch Gunn coming off the ropes with a powerslam, then quickly capitalized with an Awesome Bomb for the win. Despite the loss, you can bet that no one will take Billy Gunn lightly any time soon. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Don Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests … they're the Playboy Club. Send them out here and let's get this over with. The fans boo while Buddy Rose, Scotty The Body and Tina Ferrari walk out to the ring , as smug as ever. Coss : Well, Buddy Rose, not only are you lacking any gold, but the Playboy Club are down in most of their members. It looks like you have lost not only the Sin City Superstars but also Mike Awesome. Rose : Sterling introduction, Coss, but wrong as usual. True, we are currently bereft of titles, but that is only a temporary situation. It has always been the case that, just when you think the Playboy Club are down and out, that just means we are getting ready to strike. Scotty : That's right, Buddy. Dragon Azul better take good care of the Light Heavyweight belt, because it is going right back around my waist. Rose : Ummmmmm, actually, no. *cue a stunned look from Scotty* Scotty, titles like the Pacific Tag Titles, the Light Heavyweight Title … those are starter titles. You did well with them, but you're outgrown them. You may have been the Golden Boy then … now , you are a man. It's time to go for the big deal titles … the California Title, the TV title, hey, why not the Pacific Heavyweight Title? The world is your oyster, and it's time for you to crack it open. Scotty : You're right, Boss. It's about time this place recognized just how great I truly am. Rose : That's the spirit ! As for the membership of the Playboy Club … well, it was time for the old order to change. The Sin City Superstars were costing us far more than they were worth. And as for Mike, well … he did great work, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. But DDP made us an offer we just can't refuse for his contract, and the deal was done. It was so generous … well, let's just say the Playboy Club hottub now has its own deluxe beer fridge! (Sotty The Body and Tina Ferrari high five each other in the background) But it didn't all just go to creature comforts, and the Playboy Club ranks are now chock full with top quality talent. I've found a tag team that has proved that they have all the qualifications for the Playboy Club. Athletic ability … cunning … sacrifice … and willingness to use, shall we say, alternative strategy. The Club's bright and shiny new tag team … the Suicide Blondes! The crowd boos as Chris Candido and Louie Spicolli make their way to the ring, but the Blondes are all smiles. Spicolli : Thanks a lot for bringing us into the Club, Buddy, it means a lot to us. Candido : Yeah, we are going to make you proud. Rose : You can't do much worse than the last guys! I have faith in you. Now, we still have one more slot to fill. There was a lot of deliberation between Scotty, Tina and myself, but in the end, we all agreed that there was one pick that stood head and shoulders above the rest. Literally! Up until recently, he had been the one standout in a pack of losers. But he realized that it's impossible to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys and shook them off like the , ummm, poultry they are. He's going to take his place among the cream of the crop, and the Playboy Club is incredibly happy to welcome … "Bulldozer" Brian Lee! The crowd boos even louder as Lee makes his appearance. His betrayal of the Brigade has earned him a place in the bad books of the fans, but Lee didn't seem to care at all, showing confidence as he joined his fellow members of the Playboy Club. Tina Ferrari, in particular, was eyeing him from head to toe, looking at him like he was her next meal. Lee : You said it all, Playboy. I am done with the Brigade dragging me down. I am now where I am appreciated, and the Playboy Club is ready for Prime Time. Rose : So you see , Coss, once again, you made yourself look like a complete idiot. Prime Time is not the down time for the club, but the best time! We are, as always, the premiere group of athletes on the west coast, and nothing is going to stop … Awww, now what? Is that you again, Slaughter? Rose is cut off as, once again, the arena lights go down. This time the arena PA plays "Scotland The Brave" on bagpipes, and there is a long pause before the spotlight finally shines on the entrance to he arena, revealing …. "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER!!!!! The crowd absolutely explodes in cheers, as the Hot Scot had been absent from the West Coast for several years, but was making his return in incredibly dramatic fashion. He cackled loudly and thumbed his nose at the Playboy Club, then disappeared into the crowd. The Playboy Club were understandably upset at beign shown up, but there wasn't really much they could do about it. Big Bully Busick vs. Silas Gaither The Man From Powerhouse Hill disappointed many of the fans when he returned last year in the employ of James E. Cornette. With his breaking ties with the Louisville Lip and reestablishment of his friendship with Shane Douglas, Busick has regained much of his standing among the fanbase. Douglas was at ringside, cheering Busick along as the Big Bully easily dominated Gaither, crushing him with a Spinebuster Slam. It looks like Busick is trying to make the most of his change of heart, and with his good friend Shane Douglas by his side, there is no telling just what he can accomplish. Barry Windham vs. Genichiro Tenryu Like his fellow Brigade member Billy Gunn, Barry Windham is seeking out the absolute toughest opposition to prove that he and the Brigade still have what it takes. Tenryu was one of the most dominant competitors of 1989, and provided ferocious opposition to the Widowmaker. The two put on a classic match, and the fans were on the edge of their seats as the two waged a war to come out on top. Windham was able to nail Tenryu with the Western Lariat, but the Japanese legend showed his mettle as he started to pull himself to his feet. Realizing it would take something extra to put down Tenryu, Windham hoisted him up on the top turnbuckle and brought him over with a Superplex that finally got the three count. Windham needed a big win, and he got just that. Shane Douglas vs. Eddie Guerrero After an intermission, the New Years Celebration got back up and going with another top caliber match. Big Bully Busick repaid the favor for Douglas in this match, cheering him on from ringside, while Dean Malenko was in the corner of his new partner Guerrero. Douglas and Guerrero had their work cut out for them, following the previous match, but had a truly exciting bout, with Douglas just barely able to pull it out with a lightning quick belly to belly suplex. While Busick and Douglas celebrated, Malenko and Guerrero were giving them a steely glare and whispering to each other. Hmmm …. The Hexagon (The Lightning Kid & Rob Zakowski) vs. Clarence Black & Peter Harkey After losing most of the Ministry at the end of 1989, the Sinister Minister seems to be making a major comeback by bringing in a dynamic new team. Coming out to the sounds of Gregorian chants and wearing hooded cloaks, the Hexagon took off their cloaks when they got to the ring and revealed themselves to be the Lightning Kid and Rob Zakowski, two slim but athletic looking light heavyweights who unleashed a torrent of mercury quick kicks and sensational high flying moves on their opponents. The Lightning Kid planted Harkey with the Lightning Strike (Tombstone Piledriver), which set him up for a phenomenal split legged moonsault by Zakowski to get the win. After the match, the Sinister Minister held up on hand with two fingers extended, then deliberately shook his head. It looks like 1990 will be a very big year in PCW for both the Light Heavyweight and Tag Team divisions. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) © vs. The Can-Am Express Speaking of the Tag Team Division, Phoenix Rising proved to be fighting champions, taking on all contenders in a series of exciting title defenses while still maintaining their grip on the belts. They had another competitive match with former champions Furnas and Lafon. No matter what the Can-Ams threw at them, the Japanese team held them off and Kawada scored the victory with a Brainbuster on Furnas. An impressive win, but the champs had best stay at the top of their game with a host of young contenders looking to make their mark. Harlem Heat vs. Hunter Ellis & Gabriel Cade One pair of young contenders making their debut tonight are Diamond Dallas Page's new duo, Booker T and Stevie Ray, collectively known as Harlem Heat. This powerhouse pair overwhelmed Ellis and Cade with power moves and easily disposed of Cade with the Harlem Bomb. With Harlem Heat and Mike Awesome added to their ranks, the Diamond Exchange are sitting pretty. If only they can get Steve Austin in line … Al Snow vs. Art Barr Add Al Snow to the ranks of wrestlers looking to get back on track in the new year. Having lost his partner, Alex Porteau, he is trying to make a new name for himself. Meanwhile, on the other side, the former Beetlejuice is reclaiming his old name of Art Barr. He also came out to the Gregorian chants and wore a hooded cloak to the ring. This should have been a clue, as after several minutes of tough action, Lightning Kid and Rob Zakowski ran out to the ring to attack Snow, leading to a DQ win for Snow. They got in some good shots on him until Eddie Guererro and Dean Malenko charged out and ran them out of the ring. As he was leading his men back to the locker room, the Sinister Minister raised his hand again, holding up three fingers this time, once more shaking his head. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Bret Hart After a long and thrilling evening of wrestling, the show closed out with one of the biggest imaginable matches. The popular champion the Dragon would be putting it all on the line against the Hitman, making his challenge in front a crowd of his fellow Canadians. What unfolded was a technical masterpiece, with move and counter-move playing out in the proverbial game of human chess. Both men were clearly exhausted but still going as the match wound down. It seemed like it might go to a time limit draw, but Hart went for a clothesline and Steamboat countered with a crucifix, just barely holding his shoulders down for the three count. Steamboat helped Hart up and the two hugged and the fans gave them a standing ovation, knowing that they had witnessed one of the great matches. PCW has started the year off with a bang. Who knows where they will go from here? Stay tuned to find out!

The scene comes up on Waikiki Beach (a completely different stretch from the Playboy Club, of course) . Running along the shoreline are Dan Severn, Al Snow and Steve Blackman. They are barefoot, wearing shorts and bare chested, except for Severn, who wears his traditional Arizona State sweatshirt. Severn calls for a break, and the men take a moment to rest while Severn addresses the fans. Severn : Hello there, fans. Even during vacation, it is important to stay fit, so I am just taking the Citadel through some exercises. It has been an honour to wrestle for you fans in 1989, and we are looking forward to doing our best for you in 1990. I know that the holidays can sometimes be a challenging part of the year for some people. Please remember that, if it gets to be too much to carry , never be afraid to reach out to a helping hand. Human beings are never going to be perfect. The best we can do is keep asking for help ... and accepting it ... when you can ... and if you keep on doing that, you will always be moving towards the better. I believe in you. Merry Christmas, folks.

Night time. A bar in Honolulu. Sitting at a table in a corner are Barry Windham and Billy Gunn. Each man is bleary eyed and has a beer in his hand, with plenty of empties on the table. While many pretty women passing by are giving inviting glances to them, the two men are sitting alone. Windham addresses the camera, his speech slurring a bit. Windham : Howdy fans. A bit of a late night, my apologies. Well, here we are ... the Brigade, or at least, what is left of it. Been dealt some punches, ain't gonna lie. But you know what they say ... it's always darkest before the dawn. And the sun is going to shine tomorrow, you betcha. So don't you worry about us ... me and Billy will be back and on top for you guys in no time. (Billy Gunn mutters something in Windham's ear) Oh, yeah ... Merry Christmas, everybody!

Scene opens on a stretch of Waikiki Beach. Scotty The Body, wearing surfing trunks , is lying stomach down on a towel. Tina Ferrari , wearing a slinky bikini, is kneeling beside him while rubbing his shoulders and putting lotion on his skin. Sitting nearby in a beach chair is "Playboy" Buddy Rose. He is underneath a parasol, wearing oversize trunks, flip flops , and a beach robe, all while holding a fruity tropical cocktail in a coconut shell with a tiny paper umbrella in it. Rose turns to the camera. Rose : Well, hello there! Greetings from sunny Hawaii. As you can clearly see, life is good for the Playboy Club, as it always is. Oh, sure, there were the occasional setbacks in the last year. But we are the team of the future! And we have some fun surprises in store in 1990, you can bet your life on that. Isn't that right , Tina? Tina : You bet, Boss! Rose : Scotty? Scotty : Mmmmmmmmm ....... Rose : Well, I'm sure he agrees. So hope you folks are enjoying your holidays, and you can look forward to the privilege of watching the the Playboy Club rule over you all with firm but benevolent mercy in the New Year. (raising his coconut shell mug) Cheers!

Scene opens on a private dining room in a fancy restaurant in Hawaii . A table is full of roast turkeys, chickens, pork loins, as well as vegetables and other sides, There are also plenty of bottles of champagne, wine and beer. Surrounding the table are the members of the Terror Collective. Ted Dibiase , Terry Gordy, Steve Williams, Gary Albright and David Young are all wearing suits, some ill fitting and with food splotches on them, and each of them has a plate in front of them which is piled high with delicious food. Most of them are chortling to each other and enjoying their meals, but Ted Dibiase turns to the camera. Dibiase : Seasons greetings, peasants! The Man Of Means here. As you all know, the Terror Collective have accomplished many great things in 1989. We have served notice to all of Pacific Coast Wrestling, we have established ourselves as the premiere wrestling unit in the world, and we have destroyed all who have stood in our path. Done, done and done! So we are now enjoying the fruits of our labours. But we aren't going to stop there. You see, the next step to our dominance is the golden step. Titles all around ... Steamboat, Dreamboats, Phoenix Rising, Hashimoto, Regal, Malenko , all of your championship reigns are on borrowed time. We might just even bring a light heavyweight into our ranks, just to take that belt away from Dragon Azul. Then, our conquest will be absolute! And so, a very Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year for 1990 ... to us!

The scene comes up on a theme park. While "Rock America" by Danger Danger plays, a crowd of buxom and excited young woman are clustering around someone heading towards one of the rides. What is causing all of this fuss? No, it's not the Lynyrd Skynyrd reunion tour. It's two handsome young men, one with short dark hair, the other with long blonde hair that flows in the breeze. They eagerly get on the Scrambler, while many of the women also get on the ride, just to be near them. Their follows a montage of them at a variety of theme parks, including Disneyland, going on a variety of rides : rollercoasters, bumper cars, ferris wheels, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, the Matterhorn. Always with broad smiles and having a tremendous time, always with dreamy eyed women following behind. The last we see of them is them heading off to find another thrill, with the women trailing behind like they were muscular Pied Pipers. The scene fades to black with text appearing on the screen : Ready to Rock America and bring us all a thrill in 1990 ... the Thrillseekers!

The scene opens up outside a swanky Hollywood nightclub at nighttime. There is a long line up at the entrance. A stretch limo pulls up near the head of the line. The drive gets out and opens the passenger side door at the back. Out of it come three men, each with a stunning blonde woman on their arm. The first man has his hair slicked back and a familiar drop handlebar mustache. The second man has a shaved head and wears tight black pants and an open shirt that shows off his chest and many medallions. The third man looks like he wandered out of the Lynyrd Skynyrd road crew. He has long hair and a beard, wears a black leather hat, vest and pants. He has an air of quiet menace to him, but the woman at his side clutches even tighter to his arm. They breeze past the queue and go straight to the front door, while the club doorman rushes to open it for them. The screen goes black, while text appears on the screen : Out to woo the West Coast in 1990 .... The Hollywood Heartbreakers!

The scene opens up on a highway going through the southwest. "For The Love Of Money" by the O'Jays plays as the soundtrack. There are mountains on either side of the highway and a train track running parallel to it. An open top convertible is cruising down the highway while a train also runs down the track. Behind the wheel of the convertible is a muscular man with short hair. In the passenger seat is a man with a ponytail wearing a shirt in a Lynyrd Skynyrd t-shirt. In the back seat is a third man, his long blonde hair flying in the breeze. The convertible paces the train for a while, until the tracks cause the train and the highway to go in different directions. The long haired man in the back turns to the camera and winks. The short haired man then hits the gas and the car disappears into the distance. The scene fades to black, with a text appearing on the screen ... Chugging into Pacific Coast Wrestling in 1990 ... the Money Train!

Son of a gun, you are continuing to make the Red Rooster a viable and effective heel gimmick. Could Bruce Prichard have been right all this time? (Answer : No, Bruce Prichard is never right) Debeers and Nikita continue to be one of the most dastardly heel duos in wrestling.

The scene comes up on a six sided space, it's shape defined by stone pillars at each corner. It is lit by candles, outside of is darkness. From the flickering candles outside the space can be seen 4 figures wearing hooded cloaks, plus the shadowy semblance of a man wearing a fez. Inside the space are two men. They are young, slim but fit, and are bare chested and wearing white martial arts pants. The man with the fez raises his hand and snaps his fingers. Out of nowhere , masked men wearing black martial arts gear stream into the space and attack the two young men. The young men take them down with ease, a hurricane of chops and spinning kicks. More and more masked men come in to attack, only to be knocked out by the young men, until there is nothing left inside the space but the triumphant duo, barely breathing heavily, and a plethora of unconscious bodies. The man in the fez raises both hands, holding up 6 fingers, and nods. He then snaps his fingers one more time, and the candles all extinguish at once, leaving nothing but darkness. On the black screen, white text appears. Just what is the mystery of ..... The Hexagon?
