AAA is a shit company, has been for a while. Still. Yeah ! Global monopoly ! How great ! *yawn* (does that mean Alberto is out of a job ?)
-
😂 What a bunch of assholes. Yeah, she totally gets inducted because of her talent and contribution to the industry. No other reason. I mean, who else could they have induct ? It's not like Mickie James is around town... (ya know, the same Mickie James who is getting replaced by... Michelle McCool on season 2 of WWE's new Tough Enough that nobody talks about. Again, absolutely not because Taker asked for it) WWE's NXT and AAA doing a Worlds Collide PPV is a mariage made in heaven considering how awful AAA has been the last few years. PLEASE tell me Alberto works the show. He's their world champion, there's no reason not to. Also, considering how many people in AAA vocally support Cuatrero, I'm sure Stephanie Vaquer is thrilled about that one.

Not to mention out of ten matches, 7 involved WWE people, 6 of which won their matches. The underground feel is definitely dead. Between this and hosting the WWEID, sorry, the "ID tournament", GCW really put a stain on the idea of the Collective being this "let's support the indies" project.

So the Sabu retirement match at Joey Janela's Springreak was the most Sabu retirement match imaginable. Almost killed himself, because of course.

"Thank you Vince, I love you". Triple H. *audience claps* And before anyone drops the inevitable "It's his father-in-law", first this is not real life. It's a scripted TV show, which he is the creative director of. Also, the "this is family" excuse has already been dropped for him showing up at his mother-in-law confirmation she'll be part of a fascist government taking the role of destroying the education system. "Family" is never an excuse, unless you're in the mob. Also, Triple H inducts himself in the HOF first year he gets in control (oh yeah, sorry, he was "surprised" because it was not his doing, SURE). He doesn't have to do this. But he does. My feeling is that if this goes to arbitration and the case is "settled", Vince is eventually gonna be back on TV and the audience is gonna cheer.

It's easily Joe's second best part of his career, behind his peak in early ROH/TNA. In other news, where the hell is Tay Melo ? She had this match in Stardom at the beginning of the year, and for anyone who watched the Vlog, she was just so moved to be there and back wrestling. She hasn't showed up anywhere since. Sammy Guevarra is seemingly living his best life in ROH teaming with Dustin and just having fun matches. No sign of Tay yet. Likewise, Anna Jay has vanished alongside her boyfriend. Maybe a return of TayJay would be a cool way to reintroduce them in a fresh way.

The infamous Gracie Sharpshooter. As taught in the snakepit. Either that or the Claw. The Claw is street cred.

Sorry but no one posts or reads this very thread to shut their brains off. At *best*, you're gonna get shit about people getting cut, pettiness and blood money washing. At worst, the Janel Grant case and MAGAMania running wild. This is the thread. People triggered by it can ignore it all they want.

Yeah, I gave up on Bloodsport shows. Haven't seen the last one. Everytime I trick myself into checking them out, and there's like one or two cool matches and the rest is really, really bad. It seems people who have never seen any actual shoot-style cream themselves over it, but really now, this stuff is more akin to the terrible Inokism shit of the early 00's. I'm sure ZSJ vs Gresham was cool as hell, but they can have cool as hell regular match. The fact it's just isolated shows basically makes 4-7 minutes matches pretty inconsequential. Also, Nattie Neidhart winning with a *sharpshooter* over Miyu Yamashita (heard the match was actually cool though). Bwahahah. Awesome involvement of WWE on indies shows, of course.

I watched him for years in TNA, where he was the N°1 guy for quite a while. He absolutely is a fantastic worker. He's had countless awesome matches in TNA. I'm so glad both him and Speedball went to AEW. She's just hilarious. With Schiavone & Nigel being the funniest announcing team in eons, this is just a match made in heaven. Yeah, forgot about Trent too actually. I think Rocky will never get a proper run though, he's too busy backstage putting shit together like THREE shows in Arena Mexico. That guy. I absolutely did not expect Nick Wayne to win before he goes to the Super Jr. but why not. That match was so awesome and the mom chants were glorious. I seen Nick Wayne at 17 or so have a great match with Ospreay (I know, that's a cheat code), he's a special talent. The Deathriders angle has actually gotten good again. Who would have thought ? Theatres > Arenas

Yeah, I saw it too. It's *crazy*. Mania week indeed. I swear, if Orton's surprise opponent ends up being Brock Lesnar, I will die laughing.

Watched the Wrestlecon show. Yeah, it doesn't hit like it used to a few years back. And one of the reasons is pretty simple : it's not unique anymore. Random ass matches like these happen a whole lot more since the so-called Forbidden Door has been open. TMDK vs Hechicero, Flip Gordon & Micheal Oku basically could be some NJPW US event match. Oku is more unique, and him and Amira being part of the festivities is super cool, but even, they just were on the free ROH Youtube show. Very good match, and more ZSJ vs Hechicero is always good with me, but nothing unique. And then there's stuff like Suzuki vs Butterbean that really should not happen at all. And apparently Matt Riddle still get bookings not named Court Bauer. And Danhauser was there, and man he is NOT GOOD once the bell rings. If anyone had to be reminded why he never got further than he did in AEW (not to mention being a malcontent). The most notable match actually was Mickie James vs Maki Itoh, if only for the bizarre anti-Meltzer promo Mickie cut right in the middle of a match, prompting a "Meltzer sucks" chant from the Wrestlecon crowd. Which is honestly kinda odd since she was putting over the "entertainment part" like she was a WWE worker, not to mention it led to James turning heel on Itoh and being booed for the reminder of the match. Fun match though (Mickie can still go, it's too bad she will never end up in AEW for a fun stint). But yeah, not a great, frantic atmosphere either.

The site has been almost dead for years because forum culture is dead. Acting like there's no activity anymore because a bunch of us like to poke fun at WWE for being a shithead MAGA promotion is beyond stupid. Also, funny you should act like you know this place because you've been around for what ? Oh, less than one fucking year. We have ALWAYS talked shit about WWE (and other wrestling promotion) shitty business and politics. Wait. You come here whining and crying because people pointing out the godawful stuff said by WWE officers and top stars hurt your feeling, then talks big about growing thicker skin ? Shit, you're quite the comedian. You're such a good little soldier, look at you. Hope Phil is proud. Yeah, you would actually deserve a ban. You're a troll. And you're also on ignore now. Don't bother responding to me. Bye.

I mean, his previous statement was already worse than Orton's, ponder that for a second. But this is straight "fuck it" level. The SMELL of WrestleMAGA 1.

Oh, and by the way : https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/18/movies/john-cena-wrestlemania.html "I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince. I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly. I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love." John Cena. I think they are actively trying to complete a bingo card of being utter pieces of shit. (and it's also probably done on purpose to see if that will affect their business or not, in which case they will go more and more into the UFC route of full-on fascist manosphere. They already had racist pseudo-comedian doing guest commentary. One day you'll see Andrew Tate in the audience) (sorry for the hurt feelings of eventual lurkers afraid to post on this forum though. Hearts to you)

This. All this. The whining is hilarious though when 95% of the online discourse is about how WWE is awesome and the best and how Papa Trip is cooking and saving wrestling. I guess it's another case of running alongside the domination system yet still playing the victim. WWE is throwing politics at you, right at your face. Now more than ever. It seems they are feeling free to finally drop the mask (not that it made any kind of illusion) these last few weeks. But hey, YEEEET YEEEET YEEEET and shit, I guess. "No politics in my pro-wrestling" doesn't fly in 2025. It really never did, but now less than ever.

He absolutely should. Too bad he's all about being performative only. Also, Roman Reign's reasons for supporting Trump make him sound dumb as a brick (not that there are any good ones, but at least the usual anti-trans, anti-women's right, anti-foreigner, basic racist shit is more honest, ya see). On many levels. Especially coming from a Samoan cancer survivor, if you catch my drift. The "empathy" displayed for Janel Grant is also pretty fucking cringe, with the "it has to be embarrassing" line. Trump getting the Tribal Chief treatment *JUST NOW* is incredible. Who booked this shit ? Also, Stephy's first podcast guest is Dana White. Mania 40 was the beginning of the brand new era (lulz). Then there was the Netflix era (which really hasn't panned out as played, apparently). Mania 41 is the beginning of the MAGA Era. Have fun everyone. And don't forget to send hearts to the crowd like Elon does !

This. No idea how the "pimping ain't easy" segment got out there. Rest of the show ? Complete fire and everything that AEW promised to be. The venue was awesome too. More of this.
-
There. They are slowly but surely getting more confortable with it, because they trust their audience in term of denial/approval/acceptation. The Big MAGA Dawg. It's gonna get more and more difficult (because yeah, I realize there are probably a whole bunch of MAGA shithead in AEW too, we know some of them already).
-
Of course. This is as old as wrestling wars are. Honestly it'll all irrelevant and in the grand scheme of things, TK should probably ignore these MAGA fuckheads. But still. Both Nick Khan and Levesque came off like what they are, insecure little shits and very, very little men. Like everyone of their ilk are.

Best episode of the season thus far. I actually enjoyed the fact they addressed the well-know fetish in a non judgemental, respectful way, even more when he actually links it a youth trauma. Good stuff about racism and token black workers being put in competition with each others for the sole spot on the card, as well as Dick Murdoch being referred to a KKK member in plain light. The Saba Simba story is also super revealing of how much Vince is a piece of trash, but hey, nothing new to learn here. The ending is heart-wrenching for sure.
-
No, you can't put an equal side between the two of them. They are not in the same position of domination. TK has been under attack since day one with petty remarks like "pissant company" and such. WWE had been trying to prevent AEW from even existing since day one. So no, it's not equivalent. Since this week is Dynamite going longer than Nitro, it has to be said how much I LOVED Uncle Eric being a complete shithead with WWF at the time. It was funny as hell and they deserved every bit of it. Sometime I wish TK would just say "fuck it" and take the same kinda attitude and shit all over the opposition. And it would not be hard to do considering the ridiculous bagage. Between Nick Khan stupid ass quote about being the underdog and how they don't sign talent to park them (holy fuck) and Paul Levesque's quote talking about how NXT talent are complacent when they get to the main roster (aka "I'm not responsible for anything that happens, it's the talents fault when it doesn't work out"), it's just free shots being handed over. Without of course going into the really sleazy stuff.
-
The underdog 😂. These people are so fucking pathetic. It's good for them they makes so much money, because that's all they have. They are rich ass clowns.
-
But then they'll give standing ovations to "Papa Trip", uh ? https://bsky.app/profile/iamjohnpollock.bsky.social/post/3lmwslpwto225 (no bluesky integration ? Damn, forums are old) Nick Khan on AEW: “Nothing but respect for the father who finances it and owns the Jaguars and all those other things.” - The Bill Simmons Podcast Says the guy who still praised Vince the Rapist (a self-made man himself of course) *after* he was outed from the company the first time around. Nick Khan is such a huge piece of shit. He fits right into the picture with the rest of his MAGA promoting partners. Also, the president of the company talking like a random podcast grifter/X troll is quite embarrassing, really.
