xxxx-xx-xx-Face Off vol. 5: Queens of Extreme (RF Video)
GSR replied to GSR's topic in Shoot Interviews
Fairly pleasant shoot and at times is like a couple of old girlfriends chatting. Nothing really groundbreaking and Feinstein jumps back and forth with his questions with no apparent structure whatsoever. He gets typically excited when they mention what girls have done adult work, and at one point just asks them directly “Who have you conquered in the wrestling business?” -

A great interview and Hart comes across as an honest, upstanding, incredible guy and a tremendous guest. A superb storyteller with a real good memory for dates, times etc and needless to say, a great mind for the business. A straight shooter in that if he doesn’t like or respect someone he lets you know about it. RF is poor again, for example he asks Hart about the plane crash, Hart doesn’t go into much depth and then it’s straight into his next scripted queation. Something I had never heard before is how Al Perez was going to shoot on Ric Flair to win the World title and get a large contract. One of the best shoots out there.

xxxx-xx-xx-Guest Booker w/ Jim Cornette (Kayfabe Commentaries)
GSR replied to GSR's topic in Shoot Interviews
It’s always good to listen to Cornette and he books a far better Invasion than WWE did. There are some logic holes and perhaps a tendency to favour his favourites (Cactus Jack and Terry Funk especially). And it leads to a 5 hour Wrestlemania! Despite the holes everything booked makes sense. The opening week promos are tremendous, whilst there is a great twist at the end. A good watch if a little too far fetched. -

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired June 6, 1992 Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, Spartanburg, SC INT: Barry Horowitz - he wants to tell everyone that he is not a loser, he’s a winner. Is wrestling Brian Lee today and in his, and Dutch Mantel’s eyes, if he defeats Lee he’s the new Heavyweight champion. Bob Caudle says that it doesn’t work like that, but Horowitz says that he will be the next champion as he will defeat Lee. Brian Lee vs Barry Horowitz Recap of Brian Lee against Tony Anthony and Paul Orndorff from the Volunteer Slam INT: Brian Lee (iv) Tony Anthony (w/ Ron Wright) vs Tommy Angel INT: Ron Wright & Tony Anthony - Wright has never been so mad and disgusted! His heart is bothering him a little so he’s going to try and not get too excited, but he’s never seen anyone get robbed like the Dirty White Boy did at the Volunteer Slam, they gave him a three count when it shouldn’t have even been a one count. It led to his heart acting up and he had a stroke. He is now filing a complaint and grievance for compensation against Smoky Mountain Wrestling for having an employee of theirs (the referee), rob him and his man and for causing him to have this stroke which will probably keep him in this wheelchair for another year. Anthony says that Ron Wright doesn’t lie and that Brian Lee is the biggest crook walking the earth and he’d like to know how much he paid the referees. He then starts laying in to Lee more when he appears in the ring and challenges the White Boy to face him for the title now. Wright says that he doesn’t think his heart could take seeing Anthony whip Lee now, that it’s acting up and he doesn’t think he could stand the excitement of the Dirty White Boy annihilating him. Anthony says that he has to take care of his manager and that’s the only thing that’s saving Lee right now. Funny stuff from Wright again. INT: Brad & Bart Batten Brad & Bart Batten vs Joe Cazana & Scott Sandlin INT: Bobby Fulton - telephone interview. Says Jackie has cartilage damage and a partial ligament tear. He’s been in for surgery and the doctors have told him to wait a little longer, but they’re coming back and gunning for Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies. INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies - Cornette says that Jackie Fulton is defying doctor’s orders to get back in the ring with the Heavenly Bodies, and as a result he wonders what will happen if his knee comes all the way out next time and he can never wrestle again? He might do what these welfare cases and rednecks do and that’s live off successful people like them. He goes on to say that the Fulton’s are too proud for that so he has a little present for them, a sign saying ‘I will work for food’, that they can hand around their necks when they stand on street corners as they will no longer be able to wrestle as the Bodies crippled them. Recap of Tim Horner vs Buddy Landell from last week INT: Buddy Landell - he claims that Tim Horner got real lucky when he beat him as he had a 115 degree temperature, had already wrestled in the Mayhem and worked about 90 times that night. Horner is just angry about the $5,000 because he’s never had $5,000 before in his life, and he’s lucky he’s not here now as if he was I’d slap the taste right out of his mouth. Horner then appears out of nowhere, sucker punches Landell and they brawl out the door and to the back. INT: Tim Horner - he wants Buddy Landell in the ring any time, any place and will put the $5,000 up. Jimmy Golden vs Ben Jordan INT: Bob Armstrong - says that he hasn’t got it in for Paul Orndorff, it’s just that he broke the rules, and as commissioner he stepped in to correct the situation. Brian Lee has asked him not to suspend Orndorff, so he hasn’t and Lee can take care of it himself. Dixie Dy-No-Mite vs Paul Orndorff INT: Paul Orndorff (iv) Bold matches are PWO recommended
