Continental Wrestling Association TV Aired April 4, 1981 (Louisville Feed) Dream Machine vs The Angel (w/ Jimmy Hart) INT: Dream Machine, Bill Dundee INT: Tojo Yamamoto & Mr Onita & Masa Fuchi - Tojo says that he is going to guide these men to all of the titles in the area, and when they win them they are going to take the titles and the money back to Japan. Jimmy Hart then comes out and says that as he manages Tojo, he will also be managing Onita and Fuchi. Tojo says that Hart wont be managing them as he can’t speak Japanese, and he only wants him at ringside when he is wrestling himself, and then tells Hart to "Go away." The Japanese say that they respect the Land of the Rising Sun, and when they defeat the Yankees, they will lay the Japanese flag over their bodies. Dutch Mantel vs Tom Maley INT: Jerry Lawler - says that his number one objective when he returned was to get rid of Jimmy Hart, but as Hart has bought in all these wrestlers to face him, he has since shot up to number three in the associations rankings. He says that he defeated Jimmy Valiant in a 'loser leaves town match' and he has gone, says Wayne Ferris injured his neck and he is gone, that Tojo Yamamoto has gone into management and Hart now wont be managing the Japanese like he thought, and that Hart now only has Gypsy Joe and The Angel, and if he defeats them, then Hart wont have any reason to stay. Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired May 30, 1992 Special episode featuring highlights of the Volunteer Slam Dixie Dy-No-Mite vs Tony Anthony (w/ Ron Wright) (jip) Buddy Landell vs Brian Lee (jip) Tim Horner vs Paul Orndorff (jip) Jimmy Golden vs Robert Gibson (clips) Tony Anthony (w/ Ron Wright) vs Brian Lee (extended highlights) INT: Tony Anthony - dressing room interview. Says that was the biggest fluke ever, Brian Lee lucked out and there’s not a chance he could ever beat him again. He may not become the SMW Heavyweight champion tonight, but neither will Brian Lee, he’ll make sure of it. Robert Gibson vs Paul Orndorff (jip) Paul Orndorff vs Brian Lee - prior to the match Bob Armstrong says that Lee lost a lot of blood and has a shoulder injury after his match with Tony Anthony, the doctors have asked him not to wrestle and as a result has no alternative but to award the belt to Orndorff. Lee comes out all bandaged up and carrying his shoulder and says that he’s come too far to let some doctor tell him he can’t win the belt, and if Orndorff wants it he’ll have to go through him. We get highlights of the match. Referee Mark Curtis gets KO’ed from an Orndorff back in elbow in a very contrived looking bump and Bob Armstrong gets in the ring to try and revive him. Behind his back the Dirty White Boy comes out and throws some knux to Orndorff and he goes to punch Lee with them. Prime Time blocks the punch and they start to fight over the knux, Armstrong turns round tries to break them up, sees the knux on Orndorff’s hand and DQ’s him. Orndorff and Anthony attack Lee after the decision with Armstrong making the save and decking the Dirty White Boy. Barry Horowitz and Buddy Landell come out for some reason, but Armstrong starts on them until eventually the dressing room empties and the likes of Jimmy Golden, Joe Cazana, Tim Horner, Dixie Dy-No-Mite and Joey Maggs try to separate everyone. Really poor way to crown your first champion on a DQ finish. INT: Paul Orndorff - dressing room interview. Says that was a Smoky Mountain rip off! Talks about how Lee put up a good fight, but so did Saddam Hussein. He says that there has been a conspiracy against him ever since he arrived but it doesn’t matter, he’ll finish this with Brian Lee wherever he wants and next time Bob Armstrong sticks his nose in his business, he’s going to piledrive him as he’s sick and tired of all this. INT: Brian Lee - dressing room interview. Says that Paul Orndorff and Tony Anthony underestimated him, but now it’s time for payback and he’s through playing around. Heavenly Bodies (w/ Jim Cornette) vs Party Patrol (Johnny & Davey Rich) (jip) INT: Party Patrol - dressing room interview INT: Bobby Fulton - talks about how the likes of Tim Horner, Brian Lee and Robert Gibson have all approached him wanting to be his tag team partner, but he said no. Whilst his brother may be down at the moment, he’s not out, and when they come back Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies can count on the damnest fight they’ve ever seen. Recap of the Mountain Mayhem Battle Royal and the post-match interview where Bob Armstrong ordered a rematch between Tim Horner and Buddy Landell. INT: Buddy Landell - says Bob Armstrong must be punch drunk and awful crazy if he thinks he’s going to put up $5,000. He’s already beaten Horner fair and square in the middle of the ring, so why does he have to put up the money? What’s it to him? It’s only another loss in his career, it’s not like nothing new is happening. Buddy Landell vs Tim Horner - Dutch Mantel on commentary speculates over what Horner would do with $5,000; soup up his truck, buy a gun rack, a cow? At least Landell has always spent his money wisely! Dutch also believes that Horner is getting preferential treatment from Bob Armstrong. Short, nothing match which sees Horner get the pin but he is attacked by Landell after the match. Budro rams his head into the ring post and Horner blades, before ripping the cheque up and stuffing it down his mouth. Brian Lee, Dixie Dy-No-Mite and Danny Davis put a stop to the attack and run off Landell. Bold matches are PWO recommended

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired May 23, 1992 Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN INT: Dutch Mantel - says he was going to enter the Mountain Mayhem Rumble, but whilst he’s whipped 15 men on his own before, this has 18 which is a little over his limit so he’s decided to step aside! INT: Tony Anthony - he can’t think of a better present to hand Ron Wright than $5,000 for winning the Mountain Mayhem, because the people clearly don’t care about him INT: Jimmy Golden INT: Tim Horner INT: Buddy Landell - says everyone is going to try and jump him from behind so he’s going to use a bit of reverse psychology. He’s going to jog 15-20 miles, not take a bath and get a good stink coming up so no-one wants to come near him. He’s going to let all the idiots beat themselves up, then he’ll just dump the last one out and the $5,000 will be his. INT: Heavenly Bodies - all the women in the SMW area are so fat and ugly that they have to fly their ladies in from Florida so even the Heavenly Bodies need the money! INT: Brian Lee INT: Dixie Dy-No-Mite INT: Danny Davis INT: Rip Rogers - is apparently the favourite because he’s the marathon man, can run faster than everybody, jump higher than everybody and out wrestle everybody. INT: Doug Furnas Recap of Heavenly Bodies vs The Fantastics from two weeks ago Mountain Mayhem Battle Royal - all wrestlers are sat at ringside, the names were placed in a hat and drawn at random and the last man in the ring wins a cheque for $5,000. The participants are Dixie Dy-No-Mite, Rip Rogers, Tom Prichard, Ben Jordan, Joey Maggs, Stan Lane, Tony Anthony, Robert Gibson, Buddy Landell, Brian Lee, Jimmy Golden, Joe Cazana, Doug Furnas, Paul Orndorff, Tim Horner, Barry Horowitz and Danny Davis. Not long after Stan Lane enters the Rumble, Bobby Fulton comes out and into the ring, attacking the Heavenly Bodies with a board that he’d bought with him, they both run out of the ring and shortly later it’s announced that they are eliminated. The final seven eliminations take place in a ridiculous 80 seconds, culminating with the previously eliminated Landell sneaking back in the ring while the referee is distracted by the already eliminated Anthony trying to help eliminate Lee, and tossing Horner over the top rope to win the Rumble and the $5,000. INT: Tim Horner & Bob Armstrong - Horner says that everyone saw what happened and that Landell has $5,000 of his money and he wants to know what Armstrong is going to do about it? Armstrong sympathises but says that the referee’s decision is final and that instant replay has never worked in sport and certainly won’t work in wrestling. He then says that he’s ordering Landell to bring the $5,000 cheque back next week for a rematch and with that cheque on the line. Bold matches are PWO recommended

Brian Lee music video INT: Brian Lee (iv Recap of the Heavenly Bodies vs Fantastics INT: Jim Cornette - says that Jackie Fulton has a partial ligament tear, they were going for the full ligament tear but didn’t quite succeed. He promises the Fantastics if they’ve the guts to come back in the ring in Smoky Mountain and face the Heavenly Bodies, they’re going to get a whole lot worse next time. The Bodies will now be facing The Party Patrol, Johnny and Davey Rich as their first challengers at the Volunteer Slam. Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired May 9, 1992 Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN Robert Gibson vs Barry Horowitz - Jimmy Golden provides commentary for this match INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies - Cornette is getting sick of hearing people saying the Heavenly Bodies shouldn’t be the SMW tag team champions, aren’t good guys to be wearing titles and don’t represent the belts well. He says that the Fantastics are not the white knights that people may believe and that he’s been to their home town and asked people about them, and what he’s found out is that the whole family is a bunch of trash. Their father has never worked a day in his life, is a bum laying on the street with a whisky bottle begging for whatever pity he’s got. Cornette is about to start on the Fulton’s mum when they interrupt the interview, quickly followed by Bob Armstrong. Bobby Fulton says that he never let a man talk about his momma like that and if they’ve got the guts, get in the ring now. Cornette says that they’ll do it for the belts, and whilst Bobby says that he is not ready to wrestle, they agree. Bob Armstrong says that the match is already signed for the 22nd, but if they want to do it now let them do it, although it’s not officially signed and SMW is not responsible for the match. Heavenly Bodies (w/ Jim Cornette) vs The Fantastics INT: Brian Lee & Bob Armstrong Heavenly Bodies vs The Fantastics - continuation of match. Jackie has the sleeper on Lane and whilst the referee is dealing with Bobby and Prichard, Cornette nails him in the back with the tennis racket allowing the Bodies to get the pin and the titles. The Bodies and Cornette continue to attack both after the match, concentrating on trying to injure Jackie until Robert Gibson, Dixie Dy-No-Mite and Brian Lee run in for the save. INT: Doug Furnas - he’s been tied up in Japan but was honoured to get the call from SMW and is looking forward to wrestling here. Doug Furnas vs Joe Cazana INT: Bob Armstrong & Hector Guerrero - Armstrong confirms to Hector that as long as he’s commissioner, the piledriver will remain illegal. They’re joined by Paul Orndorff who says that it’s absurd to outlaw the move as he’s beaten every named wrestler in the world with it, and that if Guerrero isn’t man enough to take it, he shouldn’t be here. Guerrero says that he wants the match and Armstrong says that as soon as he’s released by the doctors, he’ll have it. Tim Horner then interjects himself, and tells Orndorff if he wants to jump on someone healthy, jump on him. Orndorff says that he will on the 22nd. Tony Anthony vs Ben Jordan INT: Dixie Dy-No-Mite INT: Brian Lee Buddy Landell vs Danny Davis INT: Buddy Landell - says he’s going to rip Brian Lee’s head off and dump in his neck come the Volunteer Slam. It doesn’t matter who he will face in the tournament because he’ll beat them all up. INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies INT: Bob Armstrong - he’s offered Bobby Fulton the chance of having different partners but he doesn’t want anyone other than his brother. He also states that as all four men volunteered to go into that non-sanctioned match, he has to declare that the Heavenly Bodies are the tag team champions. Bobby Fulton joins him and says that he is about to take his brother to the hospital, however when they get back they’re coming for Cornette and the Bodies. Bold matches are PWO recommended

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired April 25, 1992 Hancock County High School, Hancock Couty, TN Bob Holly vs Bart Batten INT: Bob Armstrong - he runs down the pairings for the first round of the SMW title tournament at Volunteer Slam. He then calls in Paul Orndorff who is watching and tells him he will be observing every match close by that night, and if he sees one piledriver, then Orndorff won’t get anyway near to the SMW title. Orndorff says that Tim Horner doesn’t know what he’s up against when he faces him and everyone has seen how devastating the piledriver is. Money is no object to him, if they want to keep fining him it doesn’t matter and if Horner makes one wrong move, on his head be it. INT: Brad & Bart Batten, Brian Lee, The Fantastics Jimmy Golden vs Davey Rich INT: Jimmy Golden - is joined by Robert Gibson (who is his first round opponent in the SMW title tournament) and they promote their match at the Volunteer Slam. Brian Lee vs Joe Cazana INT: Brian Lee - is joined by Buddy Landell who is his opponent for the Volunteer Slam. Lee claims Landell may be a good wrestler, but he’s not ready for Prime Time. INT: Carl Styles - Bob Caudle asks him where he has been. Styles says that he got a speeding ticket and was in jail for the last couple of weeks. He thought Dutch Mantel would help him out, but the ticket went unpaid. Is sure that Dutch has an explanation, and maybe he was trying to teach him a lesson as he’s always doing something wrong. Killer Kyle vs Reno Riggins - as the match continues we see Dutch Mantel continuing to argue with Carl Styles. Bob Caudle says that he can’t believe Dutch took Styles’ money and let him go to jail, though denies this and claims Styles suffers from delusions. INT: Ron Wright - he’s got a letter with him as some smart alec from the Smoky Mountain Wrestling organisation wrote in to the ARRP and had his discount card suspended, so he can no longer go and buy his heart and arthritis medicine at a discount price. All it’s doing though is getting him and the Dirty White Boy angry and he’s going to take it out on whomever steps in the ring with him at the Volunteer Slam. Danny Davis & Joey Maggs vs Heavenly Bodies (w/ Jim Cornette) INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies INT: Tim Horner - says that ‘Paula’ has copped an attitude. He heard Paul Orndorff claim that he doesn’t know of Tim Horner, but comes the Volunteer Slam, he’ll know exactly who he is. Bold matches are PWO recommended

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired April 18, 1992 Hancock County High School, Hancock Couty, TN INT: Dutch Mantel - confirms that Carl Styles is going to be in a wildcard elimination match today against Dixie Dy-No-Mite and if he follows his advice and does what he’s told, he’ll qualify for the SMW title tournament. Robert Gibson vs Rip Rogers Recap of Paul Orndorff and Hector Guerrero from last week INT: Hector Guerrero - he's wearing a neck brace and says how he doesn’t forget easy and when he’s back, he’s coming after Mr Wonderful. INT: Paul Orndorff - says that pro wrestling is a tough sport, he doesn’t care who he steps in the ring with and if he has to, he'll use the piledriver. That’s the move he’s beaten everyone with, the move he’s beaten the best with and now they want to stop him using it? They can use a DDT and everything else, but he can’t use his piledriver? Says that he’s going to end a lot of people’s career until he gets some attention. Bob Armstrong then comes out and says that he’s disgusted at what Orndorff did to Hector Guerrero and the other wrestlers. He tells Orndorff that 25 years ago, when he started wrestling, he saw a young man get piledriven, taken to the hospital and he never walked or wrestled again and that’s why hell never legalize the piledriver. Armstrong fines Orndorff $2,500 for his actions, but he just laughs at him saying he makes more than that in a minute. Armstrong then states that it will be an additional $2,500 every time that he uses it. INT: Tim Horner INT: Brian Lee Paul Orndorff vs Davey Rich INT: Ron Wright - he’s got the Dirty White Boy out street fighting and training in the alleys, so that is why he’s not here with him this week. Apparently they set some police dogs on him last week, but he bit one of the dogs and the dog ended up with rabies! Come the Volunteer Slam he’s turning the Dirty White Boy loose and he pities all the wrestlers who have to go up against him, and all the fans who never helped him out the way they should have. INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies - incl. a video interview from Joey Maggs & Danny Davis who say that no-one gave them a chance against the Koloffs, but look what happened? No-one may give them a chance against the Heavenly Bodies, but you never know, Nitro & Maggs may come out on top again. Cornette warns Maggs that his neck will hurt even more when they get through with him. Stanfield then wants to talk about something that is of utmost importance to the Heavenly Bodies, not tag team tournaments, not wrestling rankings, but sexual harassment. Ever since they came to SMW these poor, fat, deprived, corn fed women have been groping and pawing at them in a sexual way and he’s sick of it. He’s going to notify the authorities and has already talked to Commissioner Armstrong about putting a stop to it. They want them to keep their nasty, greasy, sweaty, fat palms off the Heavenly Bodies or they’re going to have something done about it and start pressing charges. Cornette says they will defeat Davis & Maggs, go to the Volunteer Slam and then have new belts made, as the current ones don’t look good enough for his team. Lane was great here. Buddy Landell vs Reno Riggins - fun squash INT: Buddy Landell - says that no-one wants to wrestle him because he’s way too good. That’s why he’s in Smoky Mountain Wrestling and that’s why he got a bye in the SMW tournament and at Volunteer Slam he’s walking out with the belt. Carl Styles vs Dixie Dy-No-Mite - with Dy-No-Mite on top, Dutch Mantel leaves the announcing desk to go and tell Styles what to do. Dutch gets up on the apron, Styles turns to speak to him and when he turns back round Dixie hits him with a superkick for the pin. Back at the desk Mantel tells Styles he’s a moron, was messing up and is the dumbest guy he’s seen in his life. Bob Caudle says that Styles was doing just fine until Dutch went to speak with him. INT: Ron Wright & Jimmy Golden - Wright says that Volunteer Slam is going to be one of the greatest nights in history, although he’s a bit down and disgusted that the people didn’t send in their donations to help him get his open heart surgery and hip implant. He’s got the Dirty White Boy training for the Volunteer Slam, whilst Golden tells Wright that he’s going to send in a donation for him and if the Dirty White Boy won’t win the tournament, he will. INT: Brian Lee & The Fantastics Bold matches are PWO recommended

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired April 11, 1992 Hancock County High School, Hancock Couty, TN Carl Styles is back and Bob Caudle asks Dutch Mantel where he’s been, but Dutch doesn’t want to talk about it. Bob Holly vs Ben Jordan INT: Ivan & Vladimir Koloff - they’ve paid the $500 fine and are glad to be back in Smoky Mountain wrestling and the tag team tournament. INT: Bob Armstrong - he has some important information. The date of the Volunteer Slam has been changed, and will now be on May 22nd. The reason for this change is because Bob has been deluged with cards, letters and phone calls from a Japanese organisation who are interested in coming and watching the crowning of the champion. The promoters have got together and not only will the SMW Heavyweight title be decided that night, but so will the SMW tag team title as well and they will also be co-operating with the Japanese organisations so that they can exchange talent.. He also says that Paul Orndorff has been asking him why he doesn’t legalise the piledriver. He doesn’t need to tell him anything and as the commissioner he decides what is legal, and for the time being, the piledriver is not. INT: The Fantastics & Tim Horner & Brian Lee Danny Davis & Joey Maggs vs Ivan & Vladimir Koloff - the Fantastics come to ringside towards the end of the match and interfere leading to the finish. Recap of the Brian Lee and Tony Anthony confrontation from last week INT: Ron Wright - he’s never been so disheartened! A poor, old, crippled, feeble man, up in his years, having to take his heart and arthritic medicine and then Bob Armstrong fines him $500 (for their actions last week) and he now has to take generic medicine that doesn’t keep his heart in check like it did. He says that Bob Armstrong and Smoky Mountain Wrestling are pulling a dirty trick and making it difficult for him, but he’s got the Dirty White Boy training and he’ll be ready for the Volunteer Slam. INT: Dixie Dy-No-Mite & Hector Guerrero & Paul Orndorff - both Dixie and Hector are happy to be wildcard entrants for the SMW title tournament and consider it an honour to be a part of it. Paul Orndorff, however, considers it an insult. He’s been all over the world, sold out buildings from the U.S. to Japan, has beaten Hulk Hogan , Ric Flair and everybody who is anybody in professional wrestling. Bob Caudle says that he hasn’t wrestled in SMW enough as he has been all over the world and Orndorff says that’s the point, he has proven himself and shouldn’t have to come here to prove who the best is. He then says that he could beat these guys (Hector and Dixie), even at the same time. Guerrero tries to placate him, but Orndorff says that the people know he could beat either one of them. Guerrero pushes him and Dy-No-Mite gets between them, then Caudle tells them if they want to settle it, do it in the ring. Orndorff says he’ll settle it however he wants and is sick of all this garbage. Bob Armstrong won’t let him use his piledriver whilst everyone else can use whatever they want? He’s afraid he may hurt someone, well you’re dead right he’s going to hurt someone. Hector says that talk is cheap and let’s do it in the ring, Orndorff says lets go and even challenges Dy-No-Mite to go with Guerrero. Great intensity from Orndorff here. Paul Orndorff vs Hector Guerrero - Orndorff rolls through on a Guerrero cross body block and hooks the tights for the pin. Guerrero tries to argue the decision when Orndorff drills him with a left and then a piledriver. Ben Jordan and then Reno Riggins come out, but both receive the piledriver treatment. Joey Maggs is next but the same happens to him, and then Orndorff brings a chair into the ring and piledrivers Guerrero on that. Finally Dixie Dy-No-Mite comes to check on Guerrero and Orndorff leaves. Great angle and segment, whilst Orndorff hits a mean looking piledriver for sure. Heavenly Bodies (Stan Lane & Tom Prichard) (w/ Jim Cornette) vs Brad & Bart Batten - good little match and debut for the Bodies INT: Dutch Mantel & Jimmy Golden & Ron Wright INT: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies - they’re not here for the weather, the women or their health, they’re here for titles and money! Bold matches are PWO recommended

Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired April 4, 1992 Knoxville Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, TN Dixie Dy-No-Mite vs Barry Horowitz INT: Bob Armstrong - he wants to talk to everyone about the problem of drug abuse, and that we’re here to fight against drugs and that SMW is definitely against the drug called steroids. Says how some of the promoters believe you have to look like a statue on top of the mountain, but we don’t believe it’s how a man looks that counts, we believe it’s what he can do in the ring. As long as he can wrestle, he has a place in SMW. We want to tell all the children to ‘say no to drugs’ and we intend to fight the drug abuse problem. Don’t take the short cuts, hard work is the only answer and you’ll be much prouder when you get there! Tim Horner vs T.J. Travis INT: Tim Horner & Brian Lee & Robert Gibson INT: Jim Cornette - he’s had a lot of problems again this week, but gets them to play the tape. Phil Rainey is outside one of Knoxville’s finest hotels, when Cornette appears and tells him to keep his voice down and hide the cameras he doesn’t want anything to go wrong this time. He tells Rainey to follow him and hopes that he hasn’t blabbed again this week. Cornette says that it is too dangerous to bring these guys out and Rainey can only stay a minute as they are training, always working and never relaxing. Cornette opens the door in which they’re ‘training’, only to hear a number of female voices asking who he is, throwing their underwear at him and telling him to get out of here. They shut the door on him, whilst Cornette thinks Rainey has done it again. In the studio Bob Caudle is starting to doubt whether he has a team at all, but next week Cornette promises to have his team here live as their tournament match is scheduled. He is going to tell commissioner Armstrong that he wants extra security, extra police and these fat, ugly, corn fed women to have seat belts on their chairs, as he’s afraid they’ll drool on them and the TV equipment and that they’ll all get electrocuted! INT: Killer Kyle - Bob Caudle asks him why he didn’t enter the SMW title tournament and what’s in the violin case? Kyle says nothing before just walking off. Killer Kyle vs Keith Hart INT: Paul Orndorff - repeat from 3/7 Tony Anthony (w/ Ron Wright) vs Paul Miller INT: Ron Wright - Wright is fed up with these no good, lying, hillbilly rasslin’ fans. He’s given them several weeks to get their cheque books out and has even given them the address on TV for where to send their donations to for his hip and open heart surgery, but he’s received diddly squat. Anthony tells him to calm down and not get upset because come May 15th it’s the Volunteer Slam, and the likes of Robert Gibson, Tim Horner and Brian Lee can’t beat him. Lee comes out (and Wright quickly wheels himself out the way!) and says that he could beat him and hopes that they get to face each other in the tournament to see who the real man is. Wright then says it’s a good job that Anthony is a good gentleman, otherwise he would have squashed him here in front of everyone. Recap from last week setting up the Brian Lee vs Dutch Mantel match Dutch Mantel vs Brian Lee - Tony Anthony runs out and nails Lee in the back with a chair just as he’s about to get in the ring. He’s about to clock him again when Bob Armstrong shows up to stop him and ushers him back to the dressing room. The old dear at the front is very vocal during this one, even offering the referee her glasses when he misses Mantel cheating. INT: Jim Cornette - he tells everybody who says they want wrestling like it used to be, get your butts to the Volunteer Slam in Knoxville, TN. He’ll be there because it’s that damn important! INT: Bob Armstrong - says that if Jim Cornette doesn’t produce his surprise team here on TV next week they’re out of the tournament, if the Koloffs don’t pay their fine they are also out of the tournament, and Dirty White Boy is fined $500 for his actions attacking Brian Lee with the chair. Smoky Mountain Wrestling TV Aired March 28, 1992 Knoxville Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, TN Tony Anthony (w/ Ron Wright) vs Joey Maggs - whilst the match is going on, Wright goes over to the commentary desk and can’t understand why these good fans haven’t sent any money in? He then says that they are a little slow, can’t read, can’t write and gets them to put the details on the screen of where they should send their money to. INT: Bob Armstrong - announces details for the SMW Heavyweight title tournament. It will take place on 5/15 at an event called ‘Volunteer Slam’ and there will be five seeds (Tony Anthony, Brian Lee, Tim Horner, Robert Gibson and Jimmy Golden) and six wildcard entrants (Dixie Dy-No-Mite, Scott Anthony, Dutch Mantel, Hector Guerrero, Buddy Landell and Paul Orndorff). The six wildcard entrants will wrestle each other on TV to make up the remaining three spots, and there will be an eight-man one-night tournament at the Volunteer Slam. Personality Profile: Tim Horner INT: Bob Holly - says how he was driving down Sunset Boulevard with Julia Roberts by his side and she asked him if ‘Hollywood’ was going to be in the SMW title tournament? Why should he have to beat three guys when he can beat anyone, anytime, anywhere and all he has to do is wait round for that one guy to get his hand raised, go out and beat him and then he’s the champion. Jimmy Golden vs Tommy Angel INT: Robert Gibson INT: Jim Cornette - Bob Caudle hopes that we’ll have better luck this week finding about Cornette’s team, and he then plays the video. Phil Rainey is at a discrete location where Cornette has promised to reveal the identity of his new tag team. Cornette shows up and tells Rainey to keep his voice down because they can’t let anyone know what they’re doing, as any time that these guys are seen in public it is complete chaos. He doesn’t want anything to mess this up as he can’t do anything without being followed by all these screaming women. He says that they should be here any minute, then a limo approaches and he talks about the greatest tag team in the universe and the next SMW tag team champions being inside it, and how he’s spent an arm and a leg to make sure no-one knows that they are here. As the limo stops a hoard of women appear from nowhere surrounding the limo and it just drives off with the women chasing after it. Cornette says that Rainey has blown it again! Back in the studio Cornette claims that Rainey wants his men’s cast offs so he spilled the beans. Goes on to say that you can’t bring stars to a hillbilly location like this and not expect to cause trouble, so next week he’ll take the cameras to the stars in a very private location and Bob Armstrong’s curiosity will be satisfied. INT: Dutch Mantel - claims he’s never told a lie in his life and can’t understand why Bob Armstrong didn’t seed him for the SMW title tournament. Doesn’t know why that happened to a man of his ability, stature and standing in the wrestling world, says that there is a conspiracy afoot and he’s going to sue Smoky Mountain wrestling. Brian Lee vs Joe Cazana INT: Brian Lee - he tells Dutch Mantel if he wants a seed in the tournament so bad, sign the sheet and wrestle him next week. If he beats him, then he can have his seed in the tournament. Mantel agrees and the match is set. Continental Wrestling Association TV Aired March 14, 1981 (Louisville Feed) INT: Bill Dundee - Lance Russell announced at the start of the show that Tommy Rich isn’t here for his Southern Tag Title defense today as he has a long standing prior commitment in Georgia, and the Georgia officials had threatened him with a lawsuit if he no shows them. As a result of this, Dundee says he will defend the titles against Tojo Yamamoto & Wayne Farris on his own. INT: Jimmy Hart & Wayne Farris Gypsy Joe vs Ron Sexton INT: Jimmy Hart & Wayne Farris & Tojo Yamamoto - Lance Russell suggests that postponing the match against Bill Dundee would be the best thing to do, as Tojo & Wayne wont receive much respect for beating a man on his own. Hart says that the title match will be today, and then the Dream Machine comes out and says that he should be in the tag match as he has been with Hart longer than anyone. He asks Hart if he will put him in the match today, Hart says that he wont, Machine then leaves saying it is over.
