sek69
Was linked on the WO.com page today: He's way better at smarmy heel promos than I ever expected. I love the added touch of all the HHH merchandise behind him.
Jingus
Hell, how much of that was a work? A lot of the bragging and ass-kissing resembled the stories we've heard about how John is really like in the office.

NintendoLogic
Hell, how much of that was a work? A lot of the bragging and ass-kissing resembled the stories we've heard about how John is really like in the office. Well, you know what they say about the best wrestling characters being the wrestler's actual personality turned up to 11.
MikeCampbell
I particulary enjoyed the part where he tried to push the Dynamic Dudes as being a cutting edge team. That may be the only part of the promo that it an obvious work. Considering Cornette's famous story about the big anti Dudes sign in the crowd and Johnny's comment when they were in the locker room (I'm at work, so I'll refrain from actually quoting it). sek69
The crowd completely shitting on the Dudes and cheering the dastardly Midnights at that one Clash is quite possibly the first documented example of the smarkish crowds we know and love today. Loss
In general, the major cities Crockett ran in the 80s like Philly and Baltimore loved the heels, especially in 1987-1988. Also, Honky Tonk Man early in his WWF run is the first babyface I ever saw get booed soundly. I know it happened before that at times, but it really happened with HTM in a big way. Not sure how much of that was smarkish, though.

Ditch
Via. PWSpyware "WWE filed trademark applications on August 10th for "Future Endeavored", "Future Endeavor" and "Mr. Future Endeavor" on August 10th." Hmmm, wonder what that could mean... NintendoLogic
The saga continues: Pretty much all the signs are pointing to HHH as the mastermind, but it's so obvious that it has to be a red herring. Or maybe that's what the WWE expects everyone to think, so they'll swerve us by having HHH really be behind everything.
MikeCampbell
I'm actually impressed. Considering he spent of the bulk of his career in Japan, where he really only had to work in the ring. And then spent the last ten years behind a desk, he actually comes across very well spoken.
