Loss
Vote for the team that you feel had the best run as a tag team from 1985 to 2005. Voting will last approximately 24 hours and the winner of each match will advance to the second round. Because the goal of the tournament is to promote discussion, please feel free to explain how you came to your decision as much as possible. Loss
Freebirds The Hart Foundation was all Bret, and the Freebirds were bigger draws who had better matches.
goodhelmet
I am going with the Freebirds also but not because I think they had better matches or drew more money. Hell, unless it was Terry Gordy in the ring, Freebirds matches weren't pretty. I am voting for them because of that aura... The JYD feud, piledriving Ted Dibiase, DiBiase piledriving Gordy, seeing them in front of 250 people at the old Hemisfair Arena in the dying days of the UWF, Buddy Roberts whiskey-soaked voice, battling the Von Erichs... BADSTREET U.S.A. motherfucker!
Guest teke184
Hart Foundation The highlights of the Freebirds' careers were mainly before 1985, with the notable exception of their good run in the UWF. The Freebirds, had they remained as a unit in the NWA for longer, would have beaten out the Harts.

Guest EastCoastJ
This becomes more difficult of a decision than it should be based on the 1985 and on stipulation. However, I would still easily give the edge to The Freebirds based on their work in World Class in 1985, which was far better and more impactful than anything the Hart Foundation ever did. One half of the Hart Foundation was a better wrestler than The Freebirds, but aside from that almost every edge I can possibly think of would go to the Freebirds. They drew, as a tag team, remarkably well in one of the greatest feuds of all time in Texas, and them had an awesome series with the Road Warriors afterwards. They were far better promos, and the type of guys who could get over in any American promotion in any year and in any setting. Their presence was incredible. Their charisma was amongst the best ever. History has slightly overrated The Hart Foundation, The Freebirds were before their time, incredible attractions and underrated in the ring.
