    WWE Network... It's Here

Well, it is happening tomorrow morning but here is the thread to post all of the content, technical malfunctions, shows, network news, etc.
  3. After watching the 1994 PPVs for the P2B podcast, we came out of the shows thinking Johnny B Badd was pretty freaking great. I'll make comments on all of the matches we watched for the project but I am going to jump into his 1995 content next starting with Fall Brawl 1995. I am really curious if he is a guy who was hitting his peak who couldn't live up to his former glory or if we just all overlooked the Badd Man!

    Koko B Ware

I know it has been awhile since the Memphis set but he really had some remarkable performances in Memphis and a great tag feud with the PYT's vs. New Fabs. He faded after that but he isa Memphis guy that i Don't want to leave out.
  5. My buddy JT at Place2Be Nation is doing a Crockett/WCW greatest matches poll that will last throughout the next year. It will be a nice way for us old school fans to jump into some footage we enjoy. Fans of the 90s WCW can sink in. I never had a chance to complete the DVDVR project for Crockett so it will give me a chance to explore and rank those matches. If you would like to participate, here's the Facebook link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/GWCWMatches/ Feel free to discuss those matches here at PWO as well. I'm pretty excited about this.

    Kerry Von Erich

There has been lots of talk about great matches and Kerry was absolutely a big match worker. He had the benefit of working with greats like Flair, Jumbo and Lawler but he also worked with guys like Hayes, OMG, Kamala, Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez to positive results. His WWF run absolutely hurts him but he had an amazing run of big matches. This is a list of singles matches that made (not nominated but made) the DVDVR lists so far. I didn't include any tag matches including the amazing run of matches with the Freebirds or the Dynamic Duo. Add in the pride he had in introducing Gorky park and Kerry will be on my list again. Michael Hayes vs. Kerry Von Erich (2/7/83) Genichiro Tenryu vs. Kerry Von Erich (4/7/83) Terry Gordy vs. Kerry Von Erich (No DQ) (6/10/83) Michael Hayes vs. Kerry Von Erich (Country Whipping Match) (9/5/83) Kerry Von Erich vs. Michael Hayes (Loser Leaves Town Cage Match) (11/24/83) Ric Flair vs. Kerry Von Erich (5/6/84) Terry Gordy vs. Kerry Von Erich (World Title Match) (5/7/84) Ric Flair vs. Kerry Von Erich (5/11/84) Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Kerry Von Erich (2/3 Falls) (5/22/84) Kerry Von Erich vs. Ric Flair (5/24/84) Gino Hernandez vs. Kerry Von Erich (7/20/84) Kerry Von Erich vs. Terry Gordy (Lumberjack Match) (8/17/84) Chris Adams vs. Kerry Von Erich (1/11/85) Chris Adams vs. Kerry Von Erich (2/8/85) Kerry Von Erich vs. Ric Flair (4/28/85) Kerry Von Erich vs. Ric Flair (5/4/85) Kerry Von Erich vs. One Man Gang (11/15/85) Rick Rude vs. Kerry Von Erich (12/13/85) Rick Rude vs. Kerry Von Erich (3/7/86) Al Perez vs. Kerry Von Erich (3/6/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (6/27/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (9/17/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (9/23/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (Cage Match) (11/25/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (12/13/88) Jerry Lawler vs. Kerry Von Erich (Title vs. Title) (12/15/89)

Feel free to continue posting your own thoughts about Brodie Lee the wrestler in here or memories from his friends and peers. If there is any more "drama", create a new thread.

    P2B Greatest Crockett/WCW matches

This was tough. I can easily do one for the 80s and one for the 90s. Combining the 2 decades is torture.

R.I.P. Jon Huber (Brodie Lee/Luke Harper)

Real quick... this is a thread for news and remembrance of Huber. No more sidetracks. Thanks.

    AEW Full Gear 2020

I thought it was a fun match but not a fan of the result. I really prefer Omega in tag matches.

    AEW Full Gear 2020

I think Darby wins. Unless they mean to bury him, it really felt like Cody was underestimating him.

    AEW Full Gear 2020

I agree with you but ,while typing this, they have a great video package on the tag match that makes me interested in the match even if the week to week build didn't.

    AEW Full Gear 2020

The lineup convinced me to buy this PPV along with the Mox-Kingston build. The only PPV I haven't bought was the last one and I think I made the right decision. When I have purchased the PPVs, I have never been disappointed. I don't expect that to change tonight.
  14. Great interview. "I am sick and tired of seeing my childhood heroes die" "It's plain fucking greed"

    AEW All Out 2020

This will be the first AEW PPV I skip. Like everyone else, the handling of Matt Hardy left a bad taste in my mouth and the only way I can protest is by not giving them my money.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?

A little bit from column A and a little bit from column B.
  17. I was just about to post a link to the same thing https://www.ringsidenews.com/2020/06/19/velveteen-dream-accused-of-being-a-child-predator-as-more-victims-emerge/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  18. I combined the initial comments with Kawada's thread. From this point forward, if you are going to comment on a claim, please provide an actual link to the story or tweet. Thanks!

    AEW Double or Nothing 2020

Based on the glowing reviews, I ordered the replay. Not the best PPV of all time level for me but worth the money. I am not going to recap every match but I'll just add a few comments. I didn't mind the ladder match at all. I know there was some negative buzz but it was what I expected. Stupid spots? Check. Fun and crazy spots? Check. Some botches? Check. Some beautifully executed spots? Check. Not feeling Brian Cage at all. I don't like his look or mannerisms but I like the way he debuted. MJF vs. Jungle Boy was my favorite match on the card. Amazing selling by Jungle Boy. Great work by MJF. The best match I have seen from either guy. Brodie Lee vs. Moxley was pretty great. However, I think AEW needs to start spacing out their tribute to the past spots. I enjoy it because I'm old enough to enjoy the originals but I think they would stick more if they spaced them out. I'm in the camp who enjoyed the main event. Sammy Guevara is #1 and the best. Him and Page were by far my favorite guys in the match. Thumbs up from me!

    AEW Double or Nothing 2020

Ok, I skipped this because of the empty arena, but from people's reactions, I need to order the replay.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?

For the record, Chuck D has publicly walked this back. I think it was on Talib Kweli's podcast. Great interview!

    AEW Unrestricted

I didn't really disagree with anything else you said except this or haven't listened to the episode. However, I thought Dean was great. He also suffers from Parkinson's so that may affect the way he comes across but we always hear how funny he is backstage and I thought that came across throughout the whole episode.

    AEW Dynamite - April 22, 2020

I turned the TV on just in time to see Sammy fly onto a prone Darby lying on the ladder. Sammy Guevara deserves most improved wrestler. His mannerisms, slowing down and being more vicious in his attacks, just a great character all around.

    AEW Dynamite - April 22, 2020

This was much better but let me give a little bit of context. After the first AEW PPV, I typed in Orange Cassidy in Youtube and th Jervis and Cabana matches were the first two to pop up. I couldn't make it through. Hopefully, AEW keeps him in their with guys who won't play along and take his head off.
