I never expect much out of the yearly Fantasticamania tour because many times it feels like we don't get a Fighting Spirit vs Lucha Libre match without either competitor holding back. Here we see the Lucha guys laying in shots to each other and the NJ guys doing the same but never stiff NJ vs CMLL action. I wonder if one issue is that NJ comes off the biggest show of the year before Fantasticamania and do not work as hard during this tour or if neither promotion wants their guy to injure one from the other promotion due to the differences in wrestling styles. Another problem cropping up is that both teams are kind of thrown together and do not have the chemistry to make for spectacular pro wrestling. The match is a good solid tag lacking a great story to tie everything together. Certainly not required viewing.
